If anyone has any unique memories about meeting characters, post em here! I'd like to start with something that happened to me on my last trip.

It was January of 2011, and me and my mother were in Disney World. One particular day, we were in Epcot, waiting to meet Mulan. We thought she would be meeting by the Temple, like she did years before, not near the koi pond. So, we're standing there, when Mulan walks up to us and asks if we were waiting for her. We said yes, and then Mulan asked me if I wanted to escort her down to her meeting spot.

And I did.

I was 5 so I don't remember it as much from life as I do from pictures. Before the characters had handlers, we went to get pictures with some of the 7 Dwarfs. As I was standing next to one, he fell over. My picture with the dwarf is a confused child and a Dwarf on the ground.

My favorite has to be... My DH and I were at DHS and I was taking pictures with MY MOST FAVE... STITCH and I was just talking to Stitch and had told him he was my most FAVE and he was making slurping noise as Stitch does and he BURPED and I just busted out laughing and told him it was ok... my dh asked me as we walked away what had happend as the characters don't talk what had me :rotfl2: I told him Stitch had BURPED... we both :rotfl2: at that point... to this day we :lmao: about Stitch...

On our trip last year my youngest DD was 2 so waiting in long lines was a bit rough for her. But she really loves Princess and the Frog and Tangled. And although the Princesses were really great, it's the Princes that made the meet and greet so special for my youngest one.

Naveen was great, it's like he was straight out of the movie, he picked a flower for DD and was so sweet to her, begging for her to give him a kiss on the cheek and playing with her while my other DD was in deep conversation with Tiana.

And of course Flynn Rider was awesome! He was playful and fun to be around and hugged and loved on both my girls. The cute banter he had with Rapunzel and my girls was adorable, DH was even impressed with Flynn. Even commenting on youngest DD hair being long like Rapunzel's. They didn't want to leave him! He was the such a great cast for Flynn. Couldn't have asked for better Flynn unless you had Zachary Levi himself!

Last summer I was walking round Epcot meeting as many characters as possible with my family. We walked my France and in the distance I saw Belle and the Beast! I went over really really quickly to get to them just in case they were nearly done! Luckily we were the last family in line, we got a good 10 minutes with them, making loads of silly poses. Belle was chatting to me all about books, then the Beast pretended to fall asleep. Was hilarious! They really made the holiday for me!

We had a lot of great ones on our trip this year, it was my 6 year old DD's Make A Wish trip, so everyone was really wonderful with her.

Rapunzel they had us wait until her group was finished and then she came down and spent a good 20 minutes with Keira & our family. And we were the only ones around aside from the CM and Photopass Photographer.

Tiana, they had us wait by the exit, she wasn't there just yet, but she came around the corner, grabbed Keira and took her by the hand and they walked into the meeting area together, talking & laughing.

Meeting the Step-sisters was a highlight for me, they were so fun.

these are all so cute, ive had a good few too...

*the green armyman from toy story was at the characterpalooza and he took my partner by the arm and led her away waving to me hahaha

*i have long black spikey hair and stitch starting playing with my hair, we have a cute picture of me and stitch "spiking" each others hair lol

*also at character palooza, the penguin from mary poppins were wandering and it was quiet, we started queing to meet whinnie the pooh and the penguin came into the line behind us and got in on our picture lol

*prince naveen asking me if im in league with the shadowman dr facillier, when i said no he pointed to my all black attire and said could have fooled me

*as we were walking to toilets near the teacup ride, the white rabbit was appearing from his characterspot and he started trying to get my partner to hop around with him lol

I don't have many character memories from our trip in January...mainly because I was too excited to remember anything!!!

The day we went to Animal Kingdom my entire goal was to meet and talk to Pocahontas. She's my favorite! (I'm 22...no shame!) But by the time I was standing in front of her, I was speechless. Literally. I could barely get a whole sentence out! And of course, my super talkative younger sister just chatted away no problem.

Funniest part? My Mama whispered to the photo pass photographer, "Pocahontas is her favorite." And what did the photographer do? Take lots of pictures of my sister!!! Next time, I'm going with at least 5 ideas of what to say....hopefully I'll remember one of them!

During our May 2011 trip, our DD only wanted to meet Stitch. When we found him and Lilo at AK, she so excited. Stitch stole her sharpie and tried to write on Lilo. Lilo was infatuated with our DS and wouldn't let go of his arm. He finally gave her a kiss on the check and she pretended to faint. Then Stitch grabbed DD and took off with her out of the greet area. Lilo followed with DS. The handler finally had to corral them back to the area. This whole meet probably lasted a good 15-20 minutes. It was the highlight of the trip.

I have 2 but one I didn't see
guess I better start off saying my boys are non-verbal austic
I was in line with my youngest to see Mary Poppins (he loves the movie) DH was with oldest was keeping him calm & walking around the back of UK at Epcot - oldest walks around the corner at the same moment that Tigger comes around the corner - just as you think they hit each other step back then big hug - DH wished he had the camera because that was the biggest smile for the whole trip Tigger all to himself then Pooh comes around with the handler so he got a quick hug from Pooh too & DH told him that Tigger needs to go get Poohs honey for him & they wave bye

the other one was on our first trip - it is our 4th day at WDW, the oldest has never gone up to a Character for the whole trip, we are at TL & spot Goofy with no one but the photo pass girl - oldest goes up to him, pats him on the nose & tries to look in his mouth. no help from us because we had gave up - I started crying right there because I was so happy

My DS 6 at the time asked Minnie to marry him and she pretended to blush and took him by the hand and started to run away with him.

I have a few! 1 is Disneyland on thanksgving my DD was a infant and santa was there she was so mesmerized by him and he was by her i have soooo many wonderfully pics from that time he was with her for a while!!

next DD loved peter pan and we were gonna be first in line when he came back from a break so the cast member took DD name and went back to get peter he came out calling for her she was SOOOOOOOO excited and in love!! he spent quite a while talking to her about all thr troubles tinkerbell got into!!

next was few yrs later with hook and smede Iwas getting a pic and Im quite and smede was fighting with hook over me cause I was taller the hook it was so funny

lastly was riding thuder late at night and no one was in line so they let us stay on 5 times never having to get out and train was almost empty!! blast!

I think my favorite from our last trip was when we went to meet the fairies for the second time. We meet Vidia on a Monday then when we were back on Wednesday it was the same actress and she recognized the girls, recalled the converstions they had with her 2 days ago and asked them what they had been doing since she last saw them. I about fell over. It was amazing.

I think the funniest meeting from our last trip would have to be our encounter with Alice. My youngest just turned 2, Epcot was our first park on our first ever trip. She saw Alice and ran to her. Alice got down on her level and the momentum knocked them both flat to the ground. Leona was laying on top of Alice. Boy Alice didnt miss a beat. She was amazing she sat on the ground with Leona on her lap for a good 10 minutes.

My favorite memory..... My 4 year old son's first trip was this past April. He absolutely adored Pluto. We bought a Pluto hat at the gift shop on our first day. When he saw the hat, he just had to have it! The first time my son met Pluto at Magic Kingdom, Pluto kneeled down to my son, tugged on my son's hat ears and signed his hat. I have the sweetest picture of my son in his Pluto hat standing beside Pluto, and they are both holding their doggy ears straight out. He was soooooo proud of the fact that Pluto signed his hat and took that "silly" picture with him. He did not take that hat off for the rest of the trip. He even wanted to take a nap with the hat. :)

When I was about 5 years old I remember having spent the day at Disneyland and being somewhat disappointed I didn't get to see Mickey all day. This was round 1975, well before meet and greets when they would walk around the park to sign autographs and take pictures. As we were walking toward the exit, just before going under that train, Mickey came up to me and gave me hug and my mom took my picture with him. I was so excited, it made that particular trip so memorable I can picture it in my head still 37 years later! :cloud9: Growing up in San Diego we went to Disneyland a few times a year, but that day I will never forget! :)

There are so many to post, but 2 come to mind immediately.

1) DH & DS had just come out of the mens room, and apparently the cast member door was right next to the rest room. Well out comes Donald Duck, (DS name happens to be Donald), DS thinks he just shared the rest room with the super star Donald Duck and becomes speechless!

2) DS was about 3 and was in the ladies room with my mom. Having just come out of the Little Mermaid show, DS was singing one of the songs...holding notes fairly well for a 3 year old. And a young lady at the sink comments on that then asks him if he has seen B&B yet, he informs her no, but we were heading there next. She tells him to pay special attention, he may see something special. Sure enough, right after I shut off the video camera, Belle comes to our side of the audutorim stops right in front of DS and blows him a kiss! :lovestruc DS is 21 and still talks about this.

We took our first trip with our 3 kids in February of this year. The very first thing we did was take them to see Mickey at Town Square Theater. Mickey paid lots of attention to our 3-yr-old, who asked Mickey what his favorite color was (Mickey pointed to his pants-Red!). Mickey "asked" him how old he was and I have an adorable pic of my son holding up three fingers. I told Mickey and Minnie we'd come to them first and Mickey kissed my hand. I was thrilled (dorky, I know).

Aladdin and Jasmine in Adventureland were by far our favorites! We had brought the character encyclopedia for signatures and they made a big fuss of looking through it. Apparently lots of people have been bringing it, because Aladdin knew just what pages all his friends were on! They chatted with the kiddos for what felt like ages. It was so fun!

Belle at Akershus asked my DD which of our sons was her prince and which was her beast. DD replied they were both her brothers. "Two beasts then?" Belle said. Love it!

And last, but not least, Woody and Buzz were the last characters we visited on our trip. Our kids were wearing their first visit buttons and so the characters were already making a fuss, but when we told them they were our last visit, they really went all out. High fives and hugs all around, it was really sweet!

This last trip, my youngest dd (almost 8) really wanted to meet characters, so we did more of that then we had before and had so many great interactions.
Among my favorite character memories:
1. Dale trying to steal the 'snacks' off of dd's rainboots (she wears cute, treat-decorated rainboots every day). She still laughs about "Silly Dale" :)

2. Arial at CRT was really silly and playful and had us laughing by showing off her new feet and such. In fact, she kept yelling for Aurora to look at her feet but Aurora couldn't quite tell what was going on, but (of course) tried her best to play along (while looking confused anyway).

3. I was off doing a few 'rough' rides by myself (my family all refuses to ride anything remotely fast/bumpy/high with me so I either go alone or not at all...I go alone!) and saw that Splash Mountain was down. This meant that Jesse and Woody had no line. Now I love Jesse and (to a lesser extent) Woody but little dd had decided that Woody's costume was more creepy than cute and hadn't wanted to stop by earlier in the trip to meet them. I thought I'd take advantage of being alone and the nonexistent line and get a few shots of me with my TS faves. Well, when the handler sent me to the spot where they usually take pics, Jesse and Woody took off running towards me, hugged me, tackled me and basically acted like toys that were glad to finally get someone to play with. I loved it :rotfl:

There are more little stories, little jokes shared and such (the stepmother and sisters were awesome), but those are my favorites.:)
