Changes at Atlantis Impacting Cruisers

I just got back from my annual trip to Atlantis, and there are two important changes that might impact cruisers not using the Disney excursion:

1) Atlantis probably will not be selling day passes on-site for the next several weeks. There were signs posted at the tour desks that the Aquaventure and Beach passes are sold-out. We also heard from staff that they expect to be sold out through Easter.

2) Atlantis has begun routing day-visitors directly into the casino (most of the time). They are checking for room keys at the front doors of the Royal Towers. They are also restricting access to the Great Hall of Waters to only Atlantis guests (they are checking for room keys at the end of the shopping corridor between the Great Hall and the Casino). This means that people who have not purchased passes cannot view the main aquarium in the Great Hall of Waters.

Thanks for the update. Interesting information.

Probably just getting ready for the spring break crowd. This should have no effect on those of us booked through CS or Majestic Tours right?

We are booked through Comfort Suites I sure they are still accepting these wrist bands or else I need to cancel now!

Thanks for the information.

I'm waiting to see what they are going to do later this year.

Probably will go the CS route, unless I can find something cheaper.

if you have a room at CS, this will in no way impact you. You have all the same privileges as those staying at Atlantis. But good to know that day passes may be harder to come by. I'm guessing it has to do with the promo they are running now for stay 3 get 1 free night.

Im sure this next month will be real busy for them. We have a room at CS for May, I doubt it will be extremely busy then.

Right...this will not impact you. If you have a pre-arranged tour, you should be fine. Only people planning to walk-up and buy tickets will find themselves out-of-luck.

So are you saying if we decide to go over to Atlantis we won't be able to tour the Aquarium? We have another Excursion planned, but thought that we would go over after and check out the Aquarium. (The Dig)

I just booked for next week with Majestic Tours. Majestic Tours is 120.00 a day for adults and 80.00 for kids. This is without transportation. This is a relatively new way to get day passes for Atlantis. I found their rate to be about the same as the Comfort Suites for this time of year...yet it was still under the DCL excursion rate. Anyhow...their website is majestictoursbahamas. They came recommended over on another board.

This might help for the Spring Break crowd! :thumbsup2
Enjoy!

Are those who booked Comfort Suites restricted?
No. Comfort Suites guests are not restricted. They have all the access rights Atlantis guests have....they are Atlantis guests for all practical purposes.

You'd have to pay to see the aquarium.

The day passes that are sold-out are for the water park and/or the beach. The tour of the aquariums is still available AFAIK.

What has changed is that anybody used to be able to walk into the main lobby at the Royal Towers (known as the Great Hall of Waters) and see into the main aquarium there. Now this area is restricted to Atlantis guests (and people with water park/beach passes).
