I think I read somewhere that there are carriage rides offered for POFQ for half hour rides....is this something that anyone has done? Is it neat? My DD loves horses and I think she might like it. Do you have to make reservations for it?

Yes you have to make reservations but you pay the driver. We brought along a bottle of wine and booked the last ride of the night (9:30pm I think) and it was a great way to end the day.

The carriage rides are at POR, unless POFQ has them too. It is $35 for 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small kids. 1/2 hour ride. Well worth the money. Very nice.

We did the Ft. Wilderness carriage ride and we loved it. The driver actually took us from Ft. Wilderness over to the WL (where we were staying). I don't know if they always will take this route, versus the round trip at Ft. Wilderness, but it was heavenly pulling up to the WL in the carriage!
