Okay, now that I am flying into Tampa, can anyone tell me which rental agencies are there, onsite, and relay any previous experience with them/? Thanks!

Dollar and National are both good. Same as Orlando, keep checking your discount codes and coupons until you get a good rate.

I have used Alamo in Tampa, good results. National and Alamo now share space offsite about 5 minutes away. Very easy to get to the highway from their location.
Congrats on getting your airfare. :)

Dollar is RIGHT onsite, or at least was back in 2001. You simply walked across the street (driveway) and into the parking garage to pick up your car. It was simple!

We used Hertz- the counter was right across from the baggage claim. DH stood in line (maybe six deep) while I grabbed luggage. Everything went very smoothly. Our full-size rental was a 4-door Grand Prix.
