Hello,

I tried booking day 8 of a 10 day pass and I am unable to do so. After an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with disney, I am told that we can't because we are staying off site. They are telling me that I can only book 7 days at a time under a new policy that came out about a year ago. This is the first I've heard of this. I can't find anything on their website and in fact found 2 place where it says that I can book 30 days out for each day that I have a valid theme park pass.

Help. Does anyone have more info on this.

Not feeling the magic at all.

There have been conflicting reports here as well. The last report was that FPs were booked for more than 7 days for an offsite stay.

There is either a glitch or some multi-day tickets have the same restrictions as an AP - they may be coded incorrectly in the system.

Things to try:
Check to see if the system allows you to book for day #8 tomorrow.
If that doesn't work, check to see if the system allows you to book 30 days out from day #8.
Or, call IT and tell them your multi-day ticket is coded incorrectly in the system and you are locked out of days 8-10 as an AP would be. Ask for a Manager and ask them to book days 8-10 for you while you are on the phone with them.

Thank hiroMYhero. The problem is not solved but is apparently being worked on. You helped calm me down. I now know that I have done everything that I can.

I took your advice and called directly to web support. It is 4 days and 3 phone calls later and they are still working on it. We purchased a 10 day pass directly from Disney with the discounted Canadian residents tickets. Somehow these have been limited to the same conditions as other discounted tickets which limits fastpass booking to 7 days at a time. They should not have these restrictions placed on them. Our file has a tech team working on it and I was told that as of Friday night they have been able to open one extra day but this does not show up on my Disney experience. It is an open file. I am happy that it is being worked on but very surprised that it seems to be so difficult to fix.

All Disney staff have been extremely helpful except for the two employees that I spoke to during a 1:20 minute phone call. They kept insisting that all off site tickets were limited to the 7 day fastpass limit. They were very frustrating and not willing to solve the problem. I felt that they just wanted to frustrate me so much that I would hang up the phone.

Still hoping for a fix and I am a little more optimistic.

Thanks again for your quick reply. It really did help.

@gel_erp ~ Thanks for the update!

Because it is an error on Disney's part, during your next call, ask a Manager if they can please add 3 Anytime FPs to days 8-10 of your specific park days. They can do this.

@ArielSRL has the email for the executive office staff where they would definitely like to hear of your multi-day problem-solving experience with no apparent answers. I would explain the # of phone calls and the total minutes you as a guest have spent on a problem that is a coding error on Disney's part.

I hope everything works out!

Thank you so much. I will definitely email and see what they say. I can't believe how difficult this is to fix. It seems as though it should be simple. If this was my first trip to Disney, then I would not know any better. This isn't right. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this situation. I have made a total of 6 phone calls about this. It is not a productive use of anybody's time.

Thanks again, I'll let you know how I progress.

P.S. We actually had the 3 anytime passes last february after we were in a car accident on Buena Vista drive. The one with the stolen car and helicopters outside of the Caribbean Beach Resort. That was us. Luckily, no one was hurt. We are usually a drama free family!

Resolution! Well, it took 9 days and 8 phone calls but we have the fast passes. The issue was resolved on wed night but I had to call Thursday to find out that they had been able to open up the 3 extra days for fast passes. They are not allowed to email Canadian residents due to solicitation laws. ( I was told this by two employees but then a third said she would email me and laughed when I told her that I had been told that they couldn't. She didn't believe it-sigh)

I was told that the problem is a glitch in the system but that it happens rarely. Hmm. I actually had trouble booking day 6 of fast passes but that issue was resolved immediately during an initial 50 minute phone call and at that time I didn't realize that there would be issues with the remaining days.

We were not given the anytime fast passes but we're asked which park we would visit on each individual day and which 3 fast passes we wanted. So we have specific fast passes but they have no assigned times.

I have not emailed Mr. Kalogridis yet but I will do so today. I feel that 5 hours and of my time was too much to spend on a "glitch". I am also concerned about the one hour and twenty minute phone call I had in which I was repeatedly told that off site guests are limited to 7 days of prebooked fast passes. This is contrary to the info I found in two places in the FAQ section on disney's own website.

Thank you both so much for your help. I might have given up without your input. I am so very appreciative. I will let you know if there are anymore developments.
Finally, feeling the excitement.

Yay, @gel_erp!! I'm glad everything so far has worked out and with specific booked FPs (which they should have done during that first phone call.)

Looking forward to hearing the results of your email exchange. Great job being assertive! :thumbsup2

@gel_erp
I'm glad that you got it resolved...I'm not glad it took so much time and trouble. I hope the email you send will be productive for you!

Annoying how long this took... but, all of your FPs have no specific return times? That will be awesome!

I think that alone is worth the aggravation you went through.

The problem with having 3 ride-specific FPs is that @gel_erp won't be able to Modify them if necessary. If the Standby line is very short, the family will still have a FP to use when any other guest would be able to Modify for another ride.

When front-desk resort staff hand-out 3 Anytime FPs as the first line of appeasement, it's strange that IT wouldn't do the same because they have in other cases.

I guess it depends on what rides OP chose, and when the trip is, as to whether or not there is potential for negative consequences.
