After a seven minute wait for the bus,
(Seven minutes! Seven! What gives, Disney?)
7 minutes! How did you survive? That’s more than one tenth of an hour!!
Seconds later, we were driving under water,
past the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower
and turning into the Magic Kingdom parking lot.
Whenever we’ve driven there, I always tell my youngest daughter that we’re driving underwater. I think she’s yet to believe me. But I still like telling her. Maybe one day she’ll realize it’s true and figure out that dad is not as dumb as he looks.
You know there’s a saying that goes something like “throw
ahem*stuff*at the wall and see what sticks”? Many times when thinking of crazy answers for these questions I feel like I’m just throwing *stuff* at the wall. I must confess to a little fist pump for myself when finally, one of my pieces of *stuff* stuck to the wall. One of my wild guesses turned out to be right.
Man it felt good to be back!
I really needed this vacation.
I needed....
Disney.
I know the feeling. It’s now exactly two years since my last trip. My family used to go about every 18 months. I have nothing planned for the foreseeable future, for a few reasons I won’t get into. I don’t know when our next trip will be, and I miss it terribly. So I understand “needing Disney”. Or any vacation, for that matter.
topped with Bursting Green Apple Boba Balls, (?)
OK, my first thought about being topped with bursting balls would definitely not get past the DIS censors! But seriously, I find those things strange. Admittedly I have never actually tried one, but when we go to Menchies frozen yogurt my DD always gets them. I have no idea what they are made of, but she seems to enjoy them.
Yes, I know there's supposed
to be a grace period,
but I don't want to find out
that they've just started
to strictly enforce the times today.
The only experience I have with late FP is at Killamanjaro Safaris. I completely forgot about the FP but went as quickly as we could, getting there about 12 minutes after the window. Mickey still turned green, so there does seem to be a grace period. But like you say, if you can make it, might as well be on time.
Look at those people.
Tsk. Dreadful.
And their
attire...
One should always try
to maintain a certain
sense of
style.
I didn’t see that one coming. Well done! But did you remember the Grey Poupon?
And then, moments later...
flying over London.
Oh my.
I distinctly remember flying over London when I was 9 on my first trip. It gets me every time, too.
We wants the redhead!
(Did you notice the water bottle?
What kind of jerk tosses a water bottle
while riding Peter Pan???)
There’s also a plastic spoon. Really sad.
Ha! They spelled "Honour" wrong!
Budget cuts I suppose. Can’t afford the u’s.
What is my total time spent waiting
for Disney Transportation?
Closest guess wins.
No duplication of guesses,
first come first served.
No changes allowed.
All guesses must be in
before the next update.
Ahem, I do believe you are slipping in your old age. Despite not seeing my name in your list of guesses for transportation, I did guess 116 minutes, way back on page 20.
For the record, I saw Minnie before my gaze settled upon
that thing. I think it’s the row of lights under the eye that makes Goofy seem to have a mouth full of sharp, shiny teeth.
1. Well, I may have been awake
a fair bit recently. Do I sleep in?
2. What time do I wake up?
3. Which park am I first off to today?
4. It's a multi park day!
How many times do I visit the nice folks
at bag check? (Yes, I had a bag to check.)
5. How many times am I asked for directions?
I'll make it easy on you.
0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 times?
6. What time do I get to my room
at the end of the day this time?
7. I use a new method of getting
from one park to another. What is it?
(I've used bus, boat and monorail in the past.)
8. As a matter of fact I do have an ADR.
Two as a matter of fact.
Guess the one that’s not in any park or in Springs.
9. What wild animal do I see today?
(On the way to that ADR.)
Bonus: Did you see it?
Be specifically vague.
1. yes
2. 7:20am
3. DHS
4. 2
5. 3
6. 11:35pm
7. Walking (if I guessed correctly, from DHS to Epcot, or maybe vice versa)
8. Beaches & Cream
9. Snake
Bonus: It’s nice to see Disney found a new sponsor for Frontierland. Maybe they can afford to add the u back in honour now.
