Can the MK fireworks be seen from any of the rooms at Wilderness Lodge? My daughter will be there next month and knows there will be some nights when my 1 year old GD will be already in bed but she was hoping to possibly catch a glimpse of the fireworks from the balcony. :confused3

Daughter and her family could see fireworks from their room...great view from the balcony! Not sure of room number but was on the side of the Lodge that Roaring Fork is located. Will ask her if she remembers floor and number.:tink:

My husband and I had a great view of the fireworks when staying at WL. We had a Woods view, and requested "Magic Kingdom" side, upper floor. It was GREAT!!

This doesn't help you if you have to stay in your room, but I've heard that you get a great view of the fireworks from the beach. :3dglasses

Upper floors from the "otter pond" side have views of the fireworks and partial sightings of the castle(especially at night). You should know that you will see fireworks "through" the trees. Have fun

Yes, most of the fireworks from the "otter pond" and main lodge views are going to be through the trees. Some of them clear the top of the trees and some rooms will have a better view than others. Kids will still find it worth watching.

As Robo as pointed out, the view is much better from the end of the employee parking lot at WL: http://www.www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2391546

We saw them from our balcony on the 7th floor. Try going to the 6th floor of the north win, use the elevators by the Roaring Fork, go to the 6th floor, the turn left there is a row of windows with the blinds, if you open the blinds, you can get a great view of the fireworks (I know we did this on the 7th floor so I am assuming you can on the 6th floor too?) We had room number 7042, a bunkbed room on club level the castle was about 2" tall but really cool!

We had a great view of the fireworks when we stayed there last year. The downfall was that right below us was the garage area. So every morning I woke up to the sounds of the beeps of the garbage trucks doing their early morning pick ups.

Yes, there are rooms where you might be able to see the tops of fireworks over the very tall trees. But there aren't that many of these rooms, and your chances of getting that in a request aren't 100%.

If you can handle a trip down to the boat dock at that time, there's a decent view from there.

Don't expect a view like what you can see from the Poly, though. There's just too much tree coverage all around the resort to afford clear views from most rooms.

So every morning I woke up to the sounds of the beeps of the garbage trucks doing their early morning pick ups.

I was hoping that it wasn't the norm... It's really silly that they can't figure out how to quietly get that done. The biggest problem is the beep-beep-beep. I won't be staying off the north side lobby again.

We stayed in room 6044 last year and were surprised at the great view of the fireworks, however it was above the garbage area and every morning around 5:00 I awoke to the beep, beep, beep of the trucks!! No one else in our room woke up not even the 3 year old - thank goodness!!! Here are some pictures of the view:
