Camcorder in cary on

Do you take your camcorder out of the carry on? If so, does it need to be taken out of its bag also?

I always pack electronic equipment in my carry on. As for removal, it depends on the airport you are flying from. I always leave it in and take it out if they ask me to. They have checked it almost every different way you could think off.

Under TSA regulations, you are suppose to remove the camcorder from any bag and place it in a seperate tote box for screening. The same goes with notebook computers. All other electronics can be left in the carry on bag. This isn't to say that they won't make them take them out for additional inspection.

Interesting...this is one of the items they always are yelling out about taking out of the case...maybe they're getting a little more lax on it.

Nope-never had to take out our camcorder but Always have to take out the laptop. We just do it automatically now.
