    Hi All,

We're heading to WDW next week and we have an ADR for California Grill - my favorite restaurant in all of Disney! Long story short, one of the members of our group can't join us now so we don't want a full blown dinner, just drinks and apps. Is that allowed? We're not on the DDP.

    Thanks!

I don't know if they do this with a reservation in the main dining room, but you can have drinks and apps in the lounge area. Just get there early. it's better there for casual drinks anyway.

If memory serves you can also order from the main menu there.

We may see you there next week. it's one of our faves too.

BTW, even if you just go for drinks, if you save your receipt they will let you back up for the fireworks.

It's definitely allowed. We've done it before. You could technically make a reservation and sit in the dining room for drinks only. Their staff will happily serve you if all you want is drinks and appetizers. Any Disney restaurant will.

Last time we went we did this, only we sat at the bar. We decided for drinks and apps we didn't need to sit at a table and the bar was just perfect. We also got to chat with the bartender who gave us some fun tips :thumbsup2
