Can someone please comment on cabins 8000 and 8002 of the Dream? We have these reserved for next summer... and it seems like I can remember reading that these rooms may be smaller...but can't find where I read it. Any info. on these connecting rooms would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!!!

Hi! We are booked into those cabins in February and will make sure I take some photos and let you know how they are! My friend was on the dream a couple of weeks ago and managed to sneak into cabin 8000 and take a photo. Never been on a Disney cruise ship before but didn't look small. Will see if I can manage to post photo on here for you but will need husbands computer skills for that :-)

Here is a deckplan that shows they might be a tiny bit narrower than the cabins next to them but not enough to detract from the cabin at all. Note that on this deck plan 8504 and 8006 have not yet been reclassified but those huge cabins are now actually downgraded to a 9D from 9A....a fantastic bargain IMO. We stayed in 8504 and loved it and now that it is less money makes me very happy!!!

We stayed in 8000 and LOVED it! There is actually more room because where a normal room ends, the window goes on an angle. It was a great room, and although it would seem like a long walk to anything, it wasn't that bad. We really enjoyed the room and I'd love to stay in it again.

OK, so I have tried to put the photos up here, but apparently I need a URL and an account with a photo website (so so complicated) so it has kind of defeated me. Sorry. But the cabins don't look small. I have only ever been on one cruise ship (not a disney one) and was in a balcony cabin, and the only difference I would say is that the cabins seem a little darker I suppose because they have smaller portholes and not patio doors. Having said that, I am hopeful that we will not be in them much, all being well!

You first have to upload your photos to an online website like Flickr, Photobucket, Webshots, etc. They you can cut and paste the url assigned to that pic from that site into here and it works.

Then to add to this info, you have to have 10 posts in order add a link to a post.

Well I'm new to this but I have now got a photobucket account (!) and once I have posted ten times I will post links to the pictures!!

Thanks for the help! I am new to this forum thing:)

We were in 8002 in May; like PP have said the extra space below the window was nice. We loved the view. The window is round in a square frame.
