Cabana Bay Resort

for those that have stayed there, which building would be the best for family of 5, all kids from 8-17yrs with one adult... they will be spending lots of time at the resort , and want location that is closest to food court and pool, is this possible..
which building would you recommend?

We stayed in the towers in a family suite as far away from the food court as possible and didn't find it to be an issue at all. It was only about a 5 minute walk.

thx for this info...they were wondering if there was a "preferred building" which are more central to main lobby, food courts, etc...

Towers will get you close to the Lazy River pool.
Courtyard will get you close to the pool with the slide.
Both sides of the resort have pool bars and plenty of seating.
Food court is on the side of the Towers but really it's centrally located.

Thanks for the helpful tips.. One last question for them...i am familiar with the food court at POR. How does it conpare to the one at Cabana Bay?

We are here right now and are in a family tower suite. It's really roomy and has two queen beds and a pullout couch in a separate room. We are in the continental bldg. very centrally located. We are really enjoying the resort.

Tower have internal corridors (carpetted, so less noisy) in suites, windows are on the bedroom side
Courtyard have external corridors, in suites, windows are on the sitting room side

Note that "poolside" does not mean "pool view". If you're at the lower levels of the towers, chances are the view will be obstructed. "poolside" really means that you'll be on the side of the building facing the pool, and does not guarantee a view.
