If we bought initially 150 points at SSR we would have the 11 month for booking that resort. If we then bought and add on of 50 points at AKL, would we also have an 11 month window at that resort as well? Am I missing something?

    Nope, you got it right.

You would have 11 month home resort booking for you 150 SSR points at SSR and home resort booking for your 50 AKL points at AKL. You would *NOT* have 200 points 11 month home resort book at AKL, the best you could do is 150 points by banking and borrowing every three years.

You can have more than one "home" resort. But as Tony said, when booking a stay more than 7 months out, you can only use points you own at that resort. When booking 7 months or less from checkout, you can combine the points from all resorts that you own to book a stay anywhere, subject to availability.

ETA: You can only combine the points if your contracts are the same Use Year and set up under the same master contract number. If your contracts are different Use Years and/or are separate master contracts, you can still use points from both contracts at 7 months out, but it gets a little more complicated.

If you are looking to add-on with a different resort than your original contract, be sure you add on at least enough points so that you can get a long enough stay there booking at the 11 month window if you use banking and borrowing. My advice is to tailor the add-on correctly. For example, lets say you want to have a stay every third year at BCV during October for the Food and Wine festival. A 1 bedroom at that resort and that time of year is 214 points for a week. If you purchase an add-on at BCV for 38 points, you will have a week there every third year by using banking and borrowing.
