Rosie, I haven't been to Universal since it was new (back then my faves were Back the Future (virtual reality), Earthquake and ET (sooo cute!!) - think these are all history now , so I don't know a thing about any of the new stuff - enjoying following along and enjoying the pics!

Poor Carol!! Guess things do not flow as easily as at a Disney Resort.

Looking forward to more!

Great start to the TR! I only had dinner at Royal Pacific, but fell in love with the place as well, so beautiful!

So - what did you think about Universal? Seems like you had a good start at the Studio Park. Despicable Me was not open yet when I was there and we skipped Shrek and the coaster, so all of those attractions would be new to me.

You must have been absent when I started this many months ago. I am now down to 1 more Free Trip to Disney in 11 daysUniversal will not rteplace Disney in my Heart , but I enjoyed it and many of the less scary rides !!

Royal Pacific is GORGEOUS, I loved sitting out in the Courtyard watching the Elephants , the whole place is beautiful !!!! As for RIP RIDE ROCKET Nooooooo I got scared watching it

Okay Whilst making another memory book I multi tasked and uploaded more pix
The next day (Friday) we headed to Islands of Adventure , I had learned of the short cut to Harry Potter World and successfully took it , which for me with a terrible sense of direction was a major feat We were in the first group into Olivanders , which was a HUGE thrill for our Hamburger/ dancer , he's a HUGE Potter fan. So several wands were purchased and we looked around

Butter Beer was next up and as Three Broomsticks accepts AAA we went inside and did not buy at the Barrell

On our way to Lunch at Mythos we stopped at Hogsworth Express

Now for some serios Food Porn

The Food and the service were superb, our waiter was Robert and he was super attentive

We have not been to UO since the HP part opened up, so all those photos are pretty amazing!
Did I read that correctly ....... the food is from Mythos? If it is, it looks pretty different to the style they were serving when we still went there. But it looks very yummy none the less.

Yes it was Mythos !! The Filet was very good , portions not huge but enough for me anyway !!!Everyone was happy with there food !! I was happy the flatbread was large as it was on the appies list !!The hamburger was also a hit , if I remember correctly they also had mini desserts which were a BIG hit !!!!!

Oh yes some rode Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey and Dragon Challenge , as for Butter Beer I found it toooo sweet , but it was okay !!I had the Pear cider which was delish and Carol agreeed and when we ate at 3Broomsticks she had that , however the guys mostly had butter beer , I guess nothing is to sweet for them. No one had the frozen though !!

I have to stop this TR as Disney is only a week away and I need to do a quick PTR of the final plans !!

We will depart Buffalo Airport at 8:05a on October 11th and for the first time all 8 guys will be travelling with us
We are due to land around 10:30a at MCO Then it is the ME to

After checking in and hopefully with help from Special Needs we will all be on the same floor . We will hit the food court for the first of many meals . 2 of the guys we know , one isd a 3rd time traveller with us and the other attends our Workshop and is WELL known to us She will add new meaning to talking our heads off

Then the plan is to head to

Of course we will have a travlling companion

Maybe I will call home

Stop in here a drool

Our first supper is at Biergarten at 5:55p . This will be Carol's first time there and my 3rd !! I have a feeling some polka will be enjoyed with this bunch , by then someone will be in LOVE with Carol

Then we will wander over to Japan to find a perfect balcony spot for Illuminations !! A perfect ending for Day 1

You are right !! The Balcony is now my preferred spot to view Illuminations !!
