DH and I both usually bring a couple of books with us. He's an avid reader, but for me vacation is when I really have some time to do it and relax. We also bring our MP3 player but that is usually used more on the plane down and back then on the actual cruise.

I'm with you, Woody! As long as I have a book and my iPod, I'm good to go (which I will be doing in a matter of hours)!

I bring a book to read while I am relaxing in one of the heated tile loungers in the rainforest room...though I usually only get to read a few pages before I fall alseep in there!

a couple of good books to read out on Deck 5 in the comfy loungers, and our favorite board game, "Sequence"......we usually snag a few new players for the game.

We do the book thing and iPod. Maybe a magazine too. The kids always have a deck of cards, just in case. But while onboard, they will often head down to Diversions for a game of Backgammon!!!

We like to play games but very seldom do we make time to do it at home so we take advantage of the quiet times on the ship. We always make sure we have a deck of cards and usually another card game (Skipbo or Uno are good ones). They usually have other board games available either in the Promenade Lounge or Diversions so we don't have to bring anything bulky with us.

I download a couple of books onto my MP3 player and don't have to deal with the extra weight of books in my luggage. I love watching the waves while listening.

Also, I saw on our last cruise that Cove Cafe had a small selection of books for checkout. I think there were magazines there, too.
