I was really surprized by this news. I don't follow hollywood romances or rumors, but I really thought they were such a cute couple. I thought they were going to one of those couples that would be, years from now, my old hollywood.You know those couples that stay together forever. I really feel bad for them. Especially to have to go through this in the spotlight.

I was a bit surprised too... but I don't pay much attention to gossip columns so i didn't hear all the rumors.

I will say that I don't think holding a marriage together is all based on love, and being in love- takes so much more than that to make it work. Problem one reason why the divorce rate is so high, because people think 'all you need is love'

They may very well be in love, or love each other very deeply, but they still couldn't make it work.

I think a lot of it had a to do with them being able to have a baby. I wonder if they are having fertility issues?

Well, I have heard that Brad has a reputation of being dirty and smelly. So maybe she couldn't take the funk anymore?

Well I for one was shocked. The last thing I heard from either of them was that interview BP had where he mentioned that he really wanted kids soon. I figured from the way he said it that a pregnancy announcement would be coming soon - not a separation announcement.

I don't usually get wrapped up in who is with who in Hollywood but for some reason I was always rooting for them. I wish it could have worked out better for them.

I was pretty surprised when I heard this this morning...almost as surprised as I was with Tom and Nicole.

Oh well, I'm still rooting for Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson...now they really do seem to be in love. I love how he talks about her...

I remember hearing some 15 years ago that Mel Brooks & Anne Bancroft had split up, then never heard anything about them again. I thought what a shame.

A few months ago, watching an award ceremony in which Mel Brooks was being honored for writing/producing "The Producers" on Broadway with Matthew Broderick, there was Bancroft, sitting there, plain as day as the Proud Wife!

I'm just wondering who tops EITHER of them...y'know....who's gonna call Jen for a date if Bad didn't work out and vice/versa? I now this is surface fluff, but can you imagine say, Courtney Love thinking she's in w/ Brad now? No offense to any CL fans out there, or Howard Stern thinking he's the dude for Jen? Maybe Tom Cruise/ Nicole Kidman can help them out with their troubles.

I was a bit surprised by this news because ALL the weekly/tabloid magazines had pictures of their "romantic" New years get away...and how it was "baby making time" My girls and I were talking about that last night after we heard the news about the split. It is such a shame because they would have made some beautiful babies. And it's true...who can Jen date that would top Brad?

OMG! I am shocked. I hadn't heard this yet and when I read it my eyes popped out of my head.

It's so strange. I thought they would make it. I actually saw them in an interview not too long ago and thought how great it was they were so happy and wondered if they would always be together. Guess this answers that huh?

I saw the Oprah show she did at the Central Perk set the last season. Jennifer said she wanted kids right then. It seems like they had been trying for quite a while.
