Are bounce backs offered at all times of the year? At certain hotels? I don't recall ever receiving an offer on previous stays.

I'm no expert, but I recall receiving bounce-back offers on trips during low crowd seasons (January, September) where I was on a room-only discount, with the bounce-back offer being a similar discount for a similar period the next year.

I've stayed at Disney hotels 4 times, but have never received a bounce-back offer.
I receive junk-mail from Disney throughout the year, that lists pricing, but the mail offers are always more expensive than booking online through Orbitz.

The bounce back offers aren't really "received", I have heard of people who expected a flyer to be slid under their doors, or something that is mentioned at check in, it is not that obvious. Currently it is a flyer that is stapled in the middle of the "Be Our Guest" booklet that is in the small folder that you either receive at check in or may be in your room. If you don't look for it, you may never see it, in any event always call 8844 from your room phone and get the info on the current offer(s).

Don't look for a bounceback to be mailed or emailed after your stay. It is meant to get you to book another trip while you are still a resort guest. We have been going to WDW since the early 90s. Bounceback offers have been consistently available for at least the last 10 years. The only times nothing was available for the last several years have been a few days here & there as the offers changed. You have to look for them most times. Originally, the offer was on the TV resort info station. Then there was an offer sheet left on the dresser/ table by housekeeping. Then the offer was found in the paper work you received at check in. Currently, there is a packet of resort information in the room when you arrive. The bounceback offer is inside there: a pull out type page with a calendar of available dates for the offer. You must call to book & leave a deposit before the bounceback office closes on the day you check out. If you can't find the offer in your room or paperwork, call 8844 from your resort room phone & ask about the current offer.

Bounceback offers are for every resort guest. It doesn't matter who you are, what resort you are staying at, how much you paid for your current room, if you are there on a special offer rate, what day of the week it is or what phase the moon is in. If you are a current resort guest & there is an offer available, you eligible for it (Disclaimer: I am not a DVC member, so I don't know if you can book if you are on DVC points. May be the only exception.) Look thru all paperwork you get at check in & everything in the room. If you can't find the info, call 8844!

For the last several years, during the free dining period at WDW (typically late August - early October), the offer has been free dining for a similar time frame for the following year. The bounceback during the rest of the year has been a room only discount for certain dates. Usually for selected dates in the current year, but in about October/ November it changes to dates in the next year. Again, this has been consistent for the last several years but could change at any time.

Thank God somebody in our party actually read that booklet last time as the rest of never do and were spoiled when they put the flyers out LOL. Now we have the special 800 # written down with the booking code and just call it each trip to see what is available. We have gotten it every time we have called in. But for our must recent upcoming trip we discovered we were able to use a CM Friend to get us a 40% discount.

Ok question?? This year I am staying at Animal Kingdom lodge on someone's DVC points. Next year we want to stay at Wilderness Lodge not on DVC. Can I get a discount this year if I book next years trip before I leave or do you have to return to the same resort the next year?

Depending when you are going this year, the bounceback offer may only be for dates this year. Meaning it will not apply to a vacation for 2016. Also, I am not sure if you are eligible to book a bounceback if you are on DVC points. Hopefully someone else can answer that.

However, if you are eligible & your dates for next year are included in the bounceback offer, you can book at any resort that is included in the offer & has rooms available. You don't have to book at the same resort you are currently at.

If no one answers about the DVC points, call ext 8844 from your room phone. They will need your current reservation number or phone number. Then they can see you are currently a guest & can tell you if you can book the bounceback.

So, when do they usually switch over to the following year. I thought it was sometime in August. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for all of this information! I've never gone to WDW in back-to-back years. We usually go every other year or every third or fourth year even, so I've never paid much attention to the BB offer. With the room discount that you mention in your post above, from your experience, is the BB offer usually more than the GP offers released? From another thread I read it seems like the BB offer may just include more dates than the GP offer but was about the same discount - 30% for deluxe resorts...but I may have misunderstood the conversation!

My DH and I are going this November and I'm thinking of surprising my parents with a trip next June so it's the first time I was thinking a BB offer might work for us!

I just got back late Saturday night, and the bounce back offer was inside a small red folder on the tv/dresser thing, not a flyer that was on my table like I had on previous trips. I actually had to look for it, and if I hadn't read on the DIS where to look, I would have never found it. It was something like 35% off Deluxe and Villas (I think Villas), and 30% off Moderates BUT only for a few certain blocks of dates this year. I think it was almost all of July-September, most of October, and some parts of mid-November to mid-December. I wanted to book it hopefully for 2016, but it was not available to us. Maybe if you go later in the year this changes.

I would hope that with us going in mid-November the BB will open up for 2016...you never know but hopefully!! And 35% would be great if it is still the offer and if it is for our dates - haha...lots of 'ifs' in that sentence!!

Sadly I'm not a pro with bounce backs (yet! haha) but I would think by mid-November you would definitely see things for 2016! Just be sure to check in any folder you see. This one deceived me because it was really little and sort of hidden, and I didn't remember to look in it until halfway through our trip. That 35% would be AWESOME to get, and I was SO excited when I saw it, but so sad when I saw it didn't extend to when I plan/want to go back! I feel so bad I couldn't give better information regarding exact dates, but since it didn't apply to me, I didn't think to take a photo or write them down.

That is a letdown when you were looking for the offer and then found it...but then couldn't use it because of the dates :faint:

Bouncebacks are the way to go if you are flexible with your next vacation dates and KNOW you wanna come back to WDW while you're staying there (and let's be honest, doesn't everyone?). We were there back in January at WL CL and had I not heard about the bounceback on these boards I would've never thought to look for it. I dug through the information brochure in the nightstand near the bed and it was sort of hidden in a fold-out inset in the middle. Took me a couple times to find it!

We managed to book another club level room, this time at CR, for Food & Wine this October for like 35% off the room cost. That's a pretty sweet deal.

I don't know about y'all, but nothing makes the end of one WDW trip less depressing than knowing you already have another trip booked. :)

I have always received a bounce back offer. Once was literally slid under the door. Every other time after that it has been "hidden" with in the information booklet in our room. Last time we had a free dining offer.
HTH

We have gone down on a bounce back every year for the last 10-12 years. It's been free dining most of the time, which works well for us. Way back, there always used to be an offer in the room. Quite a few years ago we stopped seeing them in the room and just call the 8844 extension from our room to see what is available. I've also been told, more times than not, by the front desk staff there was no offer available when in fact there was. Do yourself a favor; just call the number. Also, if not in your room, 407-939-1922 is the direct number to call for bounce backs.

Bounce backs are great! We have used them twice now; both were for room discounts (35% off deluxe resorts). We booked one on our November 2014 trip for Feb 2015, then booked one on our Feb trip for this September. I just hope when we're there in September there's a room discount; DH and I aren't really interested in the dining plan as we stay CL. I seem to remember last year the BB in Sept/Oct was for dining? Fingers crossed for a room discount!!!

ETA: like the others, we had to dig through the folder/binder on the desk to find the BB info. On our last 3 trips I remember seeing the BB pamphlet in there each time.

Last September, I booked my bounce back for this September, so I was able to book for the following year. Don't know if this is always possible, but it definitely was for my dates. I got free QS dining for my stay at All-Star Movies, which isn't generally included in the fall free dining promo, so I'm glad I finally get to try this one without forgoing the discount.

Bounce backs are definitely the way to go; you are only required to put down the 200$ deposit and can cancel your trip up to 60-days out. For me, it's worth booking it, and in the event that I can't go (fingers crossed that never happens!), just cancelling at a later date.
