We are getting ready to book a flight for our May cruise.

    - Are there any benefits to booking through Disney? We can get double points on our credit card if we book it ourselves, but I don't want to miss out if there are benefits of using Disney.
    - We will rent a car at MCO to drive to Vero Beach. After the cruise, we'd like to take the Disney bus back to MCO. Can we arrange one way ground transfer?
    - I am looking at a return flight time of 2:00. That's plenty late, right?

    Thanks!

2 pm return is fine. You'll be hanging out a bit at MCO.

One way transfers are easy. $35 per person. Call DCL or your TA.

The only reason to book a flight thru DCL is if you are doing DCL insurance (it only covers what they book) AND doing everything their way. Since you are coming in early and doing Vero, you'd not only pay their overpriced air, you'd get to pay a $50 per person "air deviation fee."

Book flights yourself--you have some control over when you depart, when you arrive, choice of airline, etc. and it is usually a lot less costly!
