Just booked with cruise excursions for our med cruise next year. Best of Rome which includes, vatican, colosseum, pantheon, trevi fountain and piazza Navoni for £228, two adults and one child and pompeii, sorrento and Postianto (sp) for £117. Didn't think this was to bad? :cool1::yay:

Does that include picking you up at the port for the Rome excursion or are you meeting the guide in Rome?

Awesome prices. Who did you book with?

It was with cruiseexcursions.com. They pick you up from the port. I had researched excursions and they come up with the best price. I'll do villefranche on our own, not sure yet about La Spezia :)

£228 is $357 dollars, so it's more than $100/person

Okay should re phrase.....Rome ones usually run closer to 200 and up.

We did Rome on our own and saw all those places on the list for 2 adults for about $150 US.....way better deal and was so nice not being hearded around.

On our Med cruise this past May, someone on our Cruise Critic roll call arranged for multiple vehicles and drivers with RomeInLimo (www.romeinlimo.com) from Civitavecchia and Naples. From Civitavecchia - we went to Orvieto instead of Rome, because we spent 3 days in Rome pre-cruise. We toured Pompeii, Sorrento, and Positano from Naples. RomeInLimo isn't cheap (~ 90-100 euros pp) - but they do a great job.

To make private tours more affordable for a few people - arrange to share tours with others on your cruise meets thread.

**To the OP - make sure you know whether your tour price includes entrance fees - particularly to the Vatican. RomeInLimo's prices don't include entrance fees.

No, it didn't include entrance, the original price was £117, but with the entrance fees to the vatican and collosseum it worked out at £228 :)
