Thinking of surprising the ELW for our anniversary. Which of the above two would you suggest?

If it were me, I'd go with a Boardwalk cottage! They look so quaint and romantic! The Polynesian is nice, but a Boardwalk cottage has extra special written all over it!

I've never heard of Boardwalk Cottages. Are you talking about Boardwalk Villas?

The Boardwalk Cottages are part of the Boardwalk Inn (not the Boardwalk Villas). They are individual suites -- two level -- with their own private entrances, front yards and mailboxes. We haven't stayed in them (we prefer the full kitchen, washer/dryer and space of the one-bedroom Boardwalk villas), but the Cottages seems sooo romantic -- perfect for an anniversary celebration. I think they include concierge service, although the lounge would be quite a way from the cottage.

The Boardwalk is not my cup of tea and I don't keep up on what goes on over there. Are there cottages now??

I'd go Poly, but that's because I don't care for the Boardwalk. :rotfl:

Hmmm, I didn't know that. Where is the lounge for the Boardwalk? Part of the treat would be to eat and nice restaurants where we don't always get a chance to go. But, it would be great for snacks, etc.

I think the industry term for those rooms are "garden suites", although they do resemble little cottages. The only downside I've heard, is that while they do include club level amenities, you need to walk outside, then back inside, then up to the 5th or 6th floor for the club lounge.

Yes, I just found that out by calling CRO. $475 a night for July with the AP rate. Given the circumstances, not a bad price. How is the conceirge level there?

Those garden suites are adorable. I think I would choose than and I have always wanted to stay at the Poly.
