Which do you think is the best deluxe? Which deluxe has the best pool? Thanks!
For what ages are we talking? Little kids, go with the Poly. You have a very nicely themed volcano pool, and a beach with a view of the nightly fireworks. If the kids are older, then the Beach Club has an awesome pool area. However I think it is best for kids 10 and older as you cannot see the whole pool area from any one spot. And in order to get on the big slide you have to walk away from the pool area and cross a public sidewalk.
Keep in mind the Volcano pool at the Poly is about to undergo a major refurb and is rumored to be out of commission much, if not all of next year.

Uh oh... You're probably going to get about 8 different answers. Everyones tastes are different.
It all depends on what you're looking for, though. Best is relative.
Poly does have a great feature pool, but so does Beach n Yacht and BW & AKV too.
If you'd like to be on a monorail so close to MK then you can pick either that suits your taste, although I would also go w/ Poly. Then BLT, Then GF, then WL
We personally Love Love AKV, even though it is a lil further away , it is like you're in another world....And it also has 2 nice pools as well.
I really don't care about monorail vs bus, or being close .... I just want a really nice resort, with a really nice pool. That narrows it down, eh? LOL
It's me, DH, and 2 DD who will be 17. It's for next October. We go every year for the F & W fest.
110% Beach Club. The pool is fabulous, the resort is gorgeous, and you can walk to F&W.
My top 3 would be BWI, AKL and GF. I like the pools at AKL/AKV the best (even more than Storm Along Bay). I like the rooms and CMs at BWI the best (And the location for F&W). I like the GF grounds the best and I think the pools here are decent.
Considering this info, then an Epcot resort would be ideal. We personally love the BC, but if you prefer quieter/more elegant then YC is great. The pool they share is awesome -- great for kids and adults alike. BWI is along the same feel as the YC. I'd check out pictures to see which theme appeals to you more. All 3 of the Epcot resorts are normally priced about the same, and you can easily walk to the Epcot countries for the F&W festival.
Out of the deluxes, we have stayed at WL, AKL, BC, Poly, and GF and our favorite is the Poly for both resort and pool. We have had great stays at all of them, but we prefer the Poly.
If you are going strictly for F&W, I would go with an Epcot resort (BC, YC, or BWI). We've stayed at the BC and loved the resort, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three as they are all beautiful resorts. I would go with the one that the theme appeals to you the most.
In that case, I would choose BC. We loved it! The pool is awesome and its the closest to Epcot. So nice to be able to walk over.
We loved the BC anyway, but because of the time that you are going I would definitely suggest YC/BC. Dining isn't a problem any time of day. They also have the best pool (Stormalong Bay) of the Epcot-area Resorts. BWI pool with the clown is just downright scary....
Between CR tower, BC, Poly, and AKL savannah view - are the rooms pretty much all the same size? Thanks for all of the help! At least I narrowed it down some!!
With the deluxe resorts, Disney seems to have something for everyone. My favorite deluxes are BWI, AKL and Poly.
The Boardwalk Inn has an upscale feel, nice rooms, peaceful grounds and is only a 5 minute walk to Epcot. The Boardwalk area has a fun vibe and I enjoy the close proximity of the other Epcot resorts for dining. BWI has a large themed pool complex, but I prefer the quiet pool on the Inn side of the resort.
AKL is simply amazing. Love the animals, resort architecture and art. Definitely get a room facing the Savannah. The resort has a large pool and some attractive dining options. The location is somewhat remote, but bus service is good.
The Poly has the prettiest grounds of any deluxe resort. The rooms have recently been refurbished and I've heard good things about the changes. As others have said, the main pool may be under construction for much of next year and I've heard rumors that Disney will remove the volcano feature. The Poly has a great location on the Monorail and is a short walk away from the Epcot Monorail at the Ticket & Transportation Center.
Now why on earth would they do that?? That seems to be a big feature of that resort!
