I'm catching up on some shows tonight and just listened to the team's most recent comments about Bob Varley's passing. I then came across this:

Boy, has time passed quickly. I remember first seeing the above thread and the shock that rushed over me. It's amazing how much time has passed, but also how it feels like only yesterday.

With the opening of the DIS Welcome Center and the recent anniversary of Bob's passing, it truly makes me reflect on how much things have changed in my life and the lives of so many since then. All the while, it just reaffirms the fact that you should live every moment to the fullest and love those who are dear to you as if they could be gone tomorrow.

I hear you. I have spent the last week going back and listening to the Bob Memorial shows as a tribute to a wonderful human being.

I've welled up, I've laughed out loud, I've smiled...mostly I've enjoyed bringing to the front of my life (again) what a delight Bob was. As the Podcast Team said, Bawb was a special person, always there for you, always himself, a unique special person.

Absolutely, Nikki! We returned from our last big family trip to WDW on 4/28/08 and I went to the boards to catch up and the news hit me like a ton of bricks even though I never met him. I have the show where he brought the empty Dole whip cups to the podcast in a cooler on my ipod to listen to whenever I need a laugh. It was through his passing that I learned of GKTW and I am so grateful for that!!!!

Gave me chills all over again. I cannot believe it has been 4 years! Seems like it was only last year that I logged on very soon after Pete's posting about Bob and was shocked.

I consider myself lucky to have been an active Podcast listener for a good long time before his passing. His presence is missed.
