Trying to plan our QS Meals around our ADRs. Cant decide whether to eat a large breakfast first then snacks for lunch OR eat a quick breakfast in our room then buy a QS meal for lunch then enjoy the TS Supper. What's your preference based on your experience?

We always do a QS breakfast at the hotel and an early TS dinner around 4 or 4:30. That way it isn't too much food and you beat the worst of the dinner crowds. We use our snack credits in the early afternoon to get a smoothie or something.

We use the snack credits for breakfast. The snack credit can cover something like a bagel or croissant-- that and a cup of coffee/tea in our refillable mug tides us over until lunch.

We're a rope drop family, and not spending additional time on breakfast means we can sleep a little later and still make the most of that first hour or so when the parks are least crowded.

We never eat breakfast at the resort or line up in the morning at the resort to buy anything. We always have cereal bars or muffins in our room which we take to the park and eat while we are in line for rope drop.

Then we go, go, go, for the first 3 hours and eat a relaxing TS lunch (and we eat well cause we're hungry)! Then we cruise more leisurely in the afternoon ..... snacking and eating quick service for dinner whenever we get hungry. It works great for us!

We use wegoshop.com for a grocery delivery to the BCV. We order fruit, juice, breakfast foods, water, beer, wine, and snacks. Then we eat a quick breakfast in the room, a QS lunch around noon and a nice Table SErvice dinner around 7:30. It is nice to have "adult beverages" and snacks when we take an afternoon break. I believe we save the cost of the delivery on just the water alone. I am a big water drinker and always have it with me.
    Have Fun

If we stay in the parks all day, we will often have a TS lunch and a counter service dinner. We find it is a good midday break.

On the basic DDP, from a strictly monetary point of view...the best use of credits is CS for lunch and TS for dinner

Breakast is not usually the best use of either CS or TS because you don't get the dessert.

That being said, last time we went, we mixed it up. We had a pin code and upgraded from "free" QSDP to regular DDP. DH wasn't with us the entire time, so we had some extra credits to use.

Depending on your family, you might find that you can split CS meals...so if you are 2A, 2C...you could order 1A/1C breakfast platters and maybe a snack credit of eggs/oatmeal/pastry before heading to the parks, 1A/1C CS for lunch and maybe a snack credit for an extra side and then have a TS dinner

You could eat breakfast in the room (we drive so we bring cereal, pop tarts, etc.), CS lunch, afternoon snack, TS dinner

Pre-rope drop character TS breakfast, snack around lunch time, CS dinner (if you are doing this, you might want to choose a more expensive CS dinner like WGPE)

We like to get moving on the morning, so we grab a quick snack and go. We usually have an early lunch (around 11:30) at a CS. By eating this way, we avoid both morning and lunch crowds and are plenty hungry by dinner. I agree that you get more for your money if you go with the lunch CS.

You can do whatever you like. Do what works for you.

I suggest if you have small kiddos breakfast in room while everyone is getting dress and going, it is easier, they will actual eat something. I have taken, breakfast bars, poptarts, fruit, milk, juice. When DD's were little we loved CBR- the little court yards were perfect for morning breakfast, we would get them dresses, then one of us would sit outside and eat with them, while the other showered and dress, then we would switch. Worked out great for us.

Character breakfast in the parks are always fun, and you can get in before the park opens- great pic's as you are walking to you ADR, Character signing, and really great breakfast.

Snack credits - WE always share snacks, in my family the 4 of us would share a snack mid day, then one later in the evening. I will note that we take our own water into the parks, and fill up the bottle as we go. I feel that a snack credit for water is a waste of a good credit. You can share ice cream, popcorn, cookies, cupcakes ect.

CS is more now than just burgers, check out the menu here or over on Allears, they had whole meals, ribs, 1/2 chicken, some of the resorts food court, offer make you own pasta, meatloaf, and other more substancial meals.

    Have a magical trip.:)

many restaurants have an all day menu...so the value of a TS lunch and a TS dinner are the same.

This is us too. As another had said, you can get a bagel or muffin as your snack credit....then use your refillable mug for coffee etc.

If we were doing TS dinner on DDP, we would pay cash for breakfast or else split CS meals between the four of us for breakfast and lunch. Depends on where we were eating for lunch. We have also split CS meals (if it worked out that day for us) until we ran out of credits then paid cash for the rest.

Well, if I know I'm going to Epcot that day I save my QS for there. But, my son loves breakfast so he likes to use his QS on breakfast. I can get by with a granola bar that I've packed.

We used a CS credit for breakfast and split the meal between two of us. Then we used a snack credit for the orange juice. We ended up having to buy a few CS meals at the end. We wanted real food for breakfast, not a muffin, so that is what worked for us.

I like to mix it up:

I bring 1 - 2 boxes of cereal in our luggage. And between that and a couple pieces of fruit or muffins brought back to the room - that is our breakfast 75% of the time.

Then we use either TS or CS for lunch. Sometimes we use CS of 2 credits for large pizza at the food court for dinner to stretch our CS credits farther since this feeds our whole family of 4 for only 2 credits.

Most days we'll do TS dinner...

A couple days we'll either do a TS lunch or a late breakfast buffet as our big meal.

On our 'sleep in' day we like to use our CS credits at the food court for a late breakfast (just before it closes for breakfast)...Then we'll do an 'ice cream for lunch' that day with snack credits just as we get to a park...Then plan an early dinner at 5:00pm.

We pay OOP for a CS breakfast around 7 am, then have a CS lunch with a CS credit around noon, have a snack around 4 then use our TS credit for an evening ADR at 7 pm each night.

On our first trip we tried buying some breakfast items and having stuff in the room but everybody in my family much prefers having a real breakfast in the food court or restaurant.

Even when we stay off site or don't have the dining plan we still have 3 meals a day. We just spread them out.

If you are worried about getting the biggest bang for your buck, avoid using TS credits for breakfast. Breakfasts are the cheapest so you are better paying OOP there if you don't want to use your snack credits. We have done DxDP in the past but are trying regular DDP this time around. We are big breakfast people and not too concerned about getting the best value, so we will make a breakfast ADR or two, and dinner ADRs as well. We won't hesitate to pay OOP for meals if needed as well.
