Attire for embarkation.

That's not at all what I thought it would look like! A little disappointed - I really don't like fake backgrounds and would prefer it to be somewhere on the ship. Isn't there a statue of Ariel somewhere maybe with a staircase in the back? That would really say "look we're on the ship now, our cruise is started!" Background pictures can be taken anywhere/anytime :(

Oh well. We're wearing color coordinated blue & green casual outfits.

Don't worry--there will be plenty of opportunities to get pictures with the Mickey Statue. There was a ship photographer there every night. It won't quite be embarkation, but it's still a nice picture!

Do this - as a couple have 1 person dress up like Mickey Mouse and one person have a name tag and act like an escort - pose for lots of pics with kids in the terminal and then just go with the flow onto the ship. I haven't actually tried it but....

We all did the lime green thing for the DIS board cruise meet we'd scheduled at 2:30 on deck 10. It was also a great way to meet people in the port while waiting to board. We even had a "lurker" (Mona, you know I'm talking about you) come up and way "you're Dis Board people right, I've been watching your meet thread." So... all you lurkers out there... we are a fun group (sometimes we're a bit nutty :cheer2: ) so join in and post! And remember... LIME GREEN!

I really like the embarkation photo posted! When we went in 2003 they took your picture while you were waiting in line. You had a small sign next to you.. if I can remember right. Of course there's people waiting in line behind you - so we had some guy in our picture standing behind us - We had a good laugh about it...a new member of the family! Of course I didn't buy it.
As for clothes, like everyone else said, whatever you're comfortable in. I'm always in shorts. You have to be in the clothes for half the day, unless you put something in your carry on to change into.

Oh, that is so bad!!! :rotfl2:

We wore whatever we put on at the airport that morning..lol

I love to buy the embarktation photo and then compare it to a photo taken later in the cruise...we always look so much more relaxed in the latter photo, not to mention a lot darker, too!!
