I have not done one on any of the ports that DCL stops but I did do an Atlantis Sub in Hawaii and I would say it is recommended. I am also a certified scuba diver and I would say if scuba is not something you plan on doing this is the next best way to experience the underwater world.

We did the sub on the 3/23 and thought it was worth it. It's expensive but really neat. We saw sharks, barracuda, snapper and alot of coral. My 9 year old spotted brain coral-something she had learned in science. The sub trip is only about 20 minutes but very neat!!You ride a boat out to the sub and then back.

Our family went on the Atlantis submarine excursion during our 4/20---4/27 cruise, and we all enjoyed it!!! Our daughters, ages 5,7,and9 were thrilled to see so many fish, sea turtles, a few sharks and all the coral underwater. It is amazing to see the land/terrain under the water. It was nice, airconditioned, and we never felt claustrophobic at all.

We went on the Atlantis Submarine on our trip to St Thomas. I thought it was enjoyable. The best way to see the coral and sealife if you don't snorkle or dive. We will also be checking out the Atlantis Sub in Cozumel next week. Am curious to see which is better.

Oh, there were several youngsters on the sub with us and they seemed to enjoy it too.

I looked at the disney site for this trip and it had prices for age 4-9 and height restriction of 36". My DS will be 3.5 and he is 38" now, so does that mean he can go on this excursion? or does the age matter too?. Sounds a great excursion!, so hoping he can!, appreciate any help.

Why is there a height restriction?

Just got back 4/27 trip. Do the first sub trip. Go back to the ship for lunch. Then head to Sapphire beach. Don't worry about any height restrictions. Be the last to board the sub you'll get the best seats.
