NRG founders, Walt Disney Studios sign deal
National Research Group founders, Joseph Farrell and Catherine Paura, have entered into a multi-year movie production deal with The Walt Disney Studios.
Farrell and Paura will head their own movie production company, FP Ventures, at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.
In addition to movie production, Farrell and Paura will counsel Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, and other executives on market planning strategies for the company.
Farrell and Paura stepped down at the end of 2002 from their chairmanships at Los Angeles-based NRG, a firm that conducts markets research for the entertainment industry. The duo will continue to serve as consultants to NRG's studio clients as the company transitions to become part of Nielsen Entertainment Group.
