I would also love to know what comes in the basket. We will celebrate DD 7th b-day while at DL and am trying to figure out what to do. What is the cost also?

I got all excited thinking we had an opportunity to go at the end of August before school started. Then I find out that hubby's boss will still be on maternity leave and he will be the only one covering! Darn it! She should have consulted MY vacation plans before planning her family.

Oh, well. I already bought the girls 'cooler' weather clothes for the trip when everything went on sale this year. Plus, it will give me a few more months to lose these last 20lbs and finally hit my goal.

    I know, me too.
But I am going to go for one day for Miss Bridgette's birthday. Cheryl is coming, too. It's a Friday, July 17th. But that's just a quick visit. I am REALLY looking forward to the Oct and Dec trips. They are both going to be so special for different reasons. The common bond is YOU, you will be at both!
But seriously, I look forward to seeing everyone!:)

Unfortunately, we have to fly in or we'd be pretty tired swimming that far :rotfl: It would be nice to have a car for the reasons you stated.... am thinking about grocery deliveries or maybe a quick cab ride out for goodies.

And, funny you ask, I decided a while ago to add another night (from 4 to 5) and just paid for the second day of our trip. Am trying to do one night every two months so it will be paid off by the time we get there. Not to mention I'll have more awards points on the card. ;)

It's so much fun to read about how other DL freaks do their planning .... ah, yes - Happy Planning to all :santa:

Relaxing and conversing with a drink in the lounge at the Grand would be nice, fairykin. Our big problem is with us over here (HI) and our kids/grandkids in Northern CA, it is sooo hard to schedule our vacations together, I have to take what I can get. It sure would be nice to be a bit closer to DL then we could probably even make the "get togethers" everyone is always talking about ;)

And, yes, fabulous idea ... we all must post a photo or two, or three :) from our dec. trips, it will be interesting to see what everyone else did at pretty much the same time there. :santa:

Hey Miss Donna.. I won't be able to make July. We are leaving on the 19th to take our three grandchildren to spend a week at south padre island and take them to spend time with their Great Great Grandmother.:goodvibes

AlrightY, December Disboarders.. Are any of You going to bring a mini tree for Your room?:confused3

    Or make stockings?

Or do a special disney themed gift? Be it box or Basket?

I'm trying to decide what to do. I want to make some homemade cookies and fudge for the room for my parents.

I would love to find a Disney Robe for each of them as a special keepsake.

And I found a great sale at the Disney store Online where they had cute flannel pjs disney themed.. i bought my mom a set for her trip.

My husband, my adult son and myself will be arriving at DLR on November 29 and staying until December 6. We have stayed at WDW on numerous occasions at that time of year but this will be our first Christmastime stay at DLR. In fact, for my husband, it will be his first ever visit to DLR so I'm hoping it will be magical for him. We've already booked our flights and we're staying at the Disneyland Hotel using our DVC points. We decided to really splurge and are staying concierge since we've never stayed concierge before at any hotel and using our points is probably the only way we'd ever be able to afford to do so.

I really want to book the Christmas time behind the scenes tour, the Fantasmic dessert buffet thingy and the Candlight Processional dining package. Also, does anyone know the phone number for the Disney department that you used to be able to call at DLR where they would book all your tours, meals, etc for you as long as you're staying at one of the on site hotels. I did use their services a few years ago and it was fantastic but I don't still have the phone number.

Many thanks and I hope to get the chance to meet some of you lovely folks while we're down there.

    Joy
