This originally started on this thread over on the DVC boards. Decided to share it here, too. While planning our reservations for a recent trip, I got curious as to how close we were to having tried every single WDW restaurant. It surprised me to find out that we were only about half way there. That made me wonder how many people have actually achieved the preverbal "Golden Spoon" award, and tried every single WDW restaurant. (By the way, I just made that up. Don't go searching for some actual Disney World Golden Spoon award.) Here's a fun exercise to see where you stand. The prize is a cool "Golden Spoon" badge to put in your signature. How it works I've created a list of every Walt Disney World restaurant, including both sit-down and counter service locations. I did not include snack or drink carts, nor did I include lounges that do not have food. Only locations where the fare could be considered a "meal" are included on the list. (This was difficult to decide in some cases. For example, there are some snack locations in the parks that have mostly drinks and snacks, but they might have a plain hotdog on the menu, too. In most of those cases, I did not include the location because I counted the hotdog as more of a snack than a meal. However, there are other carts that have items like turkey legs, which I did include. It was somewhat subjective. If there's a location that's missing from my list that you think should count, go ahead and add it in and count it.) I've also included Vero Beach, mostly because this started as a DVC thread. I know, that's technically not at WDW. If you don't feel that missing the Vero Beach restaurants should count against you, go ahead and remove the section from your list. Same for Shades of Green -- if you can't use that resort because you're not military, go ahead and remove it too. Show us your list! There are two ways of making your own list. Use my automated tool to generate your list. Then simply copy the results into a post here on this thread. >>>>> Click here <<<<< Create your list manually Hit "Quote" on post #2 Edit the reply to change the color code on restaurants you've tried to green. Leave the restaurants you haven't tried as red. If you haven't tried a restaurant, but have a reservation for your next trip, color it orange. (If you use "quote" instead of "reply," the formatting will be preserved, and it will make it easier to fill out. Simply change the word "red" to "green" or "orange" rather than dealing with the color drop-down.) Get a badge! Once you've color-coded your list, add up the greens. Then see post #3 for some fun badges you can use in your signature. Ready, set, go!
