i notice on the DP it says appetizer (ages 3-9). i don't understand....does that mean adults get the entree, drink, and dessert without an appetizer?

    Correct.

Note that a kids' "appetizer" isn't the same as for an adult meal. A typical "Kids' meal" consists of an entree plus two side items, which are labeled as "appetizer" and "dessert", but really any two side options may be selected.

Yes, on the regular DDP adults only get an entree, drink and dessert. They stopped allowing appetizers a couple of years ago.

The kids get to pick from separate appetizers just for them, like veggies and dip or fruit or soup.
