I just switched from BWI to BC for a trip THIS WEEKEND! I got a better deal so that lessens the shock . What I need is for my faithful DISers to chime in with some room/area suggestions for standard view. Help me out please! Thanks!

We are going to the BC for the first time in Sept. Don't know much about the room locations but do know how it is to change resorts, this is our 3rd resort change. :thumbsup2

I can't help you with room location, as this is our first visit to BC, but just wanted to say we'll be there too! We check in on Friday! Have fun!

People tend to have one of two preferences - close to epcot, which means if you go out near quiet pool (or even better the "not so secret" exit atvery end of resort), you can walk to epcot in literally 5 mins or less from your room, although I think most of the really near epcot rooms are technically garden view, not standard. At that end you also have a chance of limited fireworks view from room (and definitely will hear them-but muffled through wall.)

The other option (which is actually more common and even a specific option during online checkin) is to be close to transportation (ie, closer to yacht club end and away from epcot), so you have shorter walk to buses, restaurants, and storm along bay, which is at that end also.

Guess we're insane also, we love the BC. In fact we just got back 2 weeks ago. We always ask for a room with a view of the fireworks.

I meant I'm insane for switching 3 days out, not that I switched to BC.

Perhaps we will see each other in the check in line then. We are going Friday as well.
