Anyone want to help with this one...modifying w/ borrowed pts.

Here is my scenario:

UY June
Reservation is for Jan 1-7 using 92 pts.-used 88 current UY pts./borrowed 4 2016 UY pts.
Looking to modify reservation to Jan 2-7 and would now be using 76 pts.

Question is: would the 16 points I would be "saving" be 2015 UY and therefore bankable or would I also be returned the borrowed (and unbankable) 4 pts. for 2016. I don't believe I will have another trip before 2016 UY so I hate to lose those points. Thanks for any help you can provide!!

They can and should return current year points which will be bankable.

When you send MS the email to modify, just remind them to return the current year points.

I just had a similar situation when a waitlist came through that was less points. It had been booked with borrowed points, but they moved our points around and put the extra 4 points back in the 2016 UY. You may want to call to make sure it is done the way you expect.
