Anyone recommend a nice family barcelona port hotel for night before med cruise?

Just found the hotels on the DCL site... Think I am working in slow motion today as the kids have the day off and I am out of my routine.

We stayed at the DCL Hotel but booked on out own (again the AC Diplomatic) and got a much lower rate than offered by DCL. I think hubby booked on travelocity. It was also convenient to pre-register at the DCL desk in the lobby the day before the cruise and take the official bus to the port than to worry about the hassle of figuring it all out ourselves. On a side note, they had the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. (maybe we just got a lucky room?)

We just booked a DCL hotel for 1/3 of the prices DCL was charging using AAA. Only problem is getting to the hotel from the airport. DCL offers transportation from hotel to port but not airport to hotel if you didn't book it through them.

Which hotel did you book for 1/3 the price? Are we sure that the 2011 hotels will be the same as the ones they used in 2010 in Barcelona? I find the hotel websites hard to use at times when there is 5 in your party.
