Anyone been to Princess Breakfast lately?

How was it? My DD really is excited for this so I made a PS for Thursday June 2 at 9:30am. Anyone know if the problems with this breakfast have been worked out? I'd love to know what I should expect.

I'd love to know as well. Getting mixed reviews that it IS worth it and it ISN"T so not sure. I still think we'll do PS for June 22nd our first day/morning at the park. If it stinks we at least had our breakfast, saw a few characters, and have the rest of the day to enjoy

We were at DL and DCA on wednesday and thursday. Belle was everywhere. We went to the Princess meet and greet at DCA. I would not spend the money to see princesses who are readily available during park hours.

Well you are also spending money on an all you can eat breakfast! Also, I feel character meals offer the best opportunity to spend more than just a quick 30 seconds with a character and not have to wait in an endless line to boot! We did this breakfast in December which I know is not that recent . We enjoyed it but it was hectic. We had to sit outside and the characters due to the limited walking space didn't come out there until the very end when most people had left. The day we were there we saw, Mary Poppins, Belle, Beast, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Fairy Godmother. Now that is a lot of princesses! Oh and Jasmine and Aladdin too (forgot). My advice is to allow plenty of time and book your ps either as early as possible or as late. It gets very hectic when you wait for your food. When we were there they had only one line and it got massively held up as people waited for one chef to make made to order omlettes. But with patience we were able to have a group of 11 eat breakfast and get multiple photo ops with characters. It is not as well run as the breakfasts in WDW and I think the biggest problem is lack of space to run a buffet and characters at the same time. They should switch this to an all you can eat breakfast that is brought to you. That way it won't be so clogged with people waiting for food and you won't have a nervous breakdown wondering what you are missing while you wait for food! I would do this again for sure since we were able to see sooo many of my daughter's favorites! Hope this helps!

What and where exactly is the Princess meet and greet? Sounds right up our alley!

The princesses were inside the Animation building, along with Sorceror Mickey. Bert and Mary Poppins were on Main St. in DL. At lunch at Arielles Grotto: Minnie, Mickey, Chip, Dale, Max and Pluto were all in attendance. We found the characters at Goofy's Kitchen to be way too rushed for the inexpensive $35.00 per adult dinner buffet(even if it was all you can eat). You can also see Goofy in the Marina building at the DL Hotel, especially in the afternoon.

Is that something that always goes on, the princesses are in the animation bldg? Do they rotate, is there a schedule? The last time we went to DL at Christmas a few yrs ago it rained the whole time and we missed seeing most all of the princesses and my DD really loves them and I want to be able for her to see as many as possible!

My BIL & SIL took their dd and my dds (ages 3, 4, and 6) to the Princess breakfast last Thursday while we were at Disneyland. My SIL said she would not do it again. I'm not sure if she'd have even done it that time if she had known what it would be like. Her hubby spent the entire time (about an hour-75 min.) standing in line so the rest of them could eat. When it was his turn to talk to a character, they would run over and say hi and snap a picture, then he'd get in the next princess/characters line. And the lines were out in the sun. They really didn't interact with the characters at all and didn't get to say much to them either. It didn't seem to be much better than to just ask where the characters will be in the park and to find them there, since they still had to stand in long lines and didn't get any extra one on one time. The good thing about it is that they did see a ton of princesses and characters and got lots of cute pics. I guess if you're prepared for what's it's really like, then it won't be so bad if you don't mind still standing in lines and the hecticness of it.

We did get one cute story out of it too. My 3 yr old was just about to take a drink when Mary Poppins walked in the door. My SIL said my 3 yr olds jaw dropped to the floor and her eyes popped out. She was so shocked to see Mary Poppins that she poured the drink right down her shirt. Then Mary Poppins and the Fairy Godmother both stopped to console her a little bit.

I wonder if you have a specific ressie and you go and show up like an hour before your scheduled, will you get in at your scheduled time or possibly before??? any thoughts on that?

I think it depends on how busy they are. I have shown up an hour early for Blue Bayou and gotten in but that was during a slow time last November. Yeah, character meals are expensive, I know that much since I have done them multiple times at WDW and DL. If it is an "on" time when the characters spend lots of time, then it is the best $35 per adult I spend. If it isn't, yeah I feel ripped off but at least I am ripped off on a full stomach. To me the princess breakfast was worth it. My mother is in the final stages of her life so it was a treat to have her there enjoying breakfast with her grandchildren. She could never have waited in lines, so sitting at her table sipping her drink and watching was pretty great. That was her first and last character breakfast so I don't feel it was a waste. The character meet and greets at DCA are great but they can get mobbed too. It is always hit or miss with the characters but I guess my opinion is if you get to eat too that's something.

Am I understanding this correctly that at the Princess Character breakfast the princesses do NOT come around to the tables? You have to stand in line for a photo with them?

When we were there in December the princesses came around to the tables on the inside but not the outside where we were until the very end Mary Poppins and Snow White came outside to the side area briefly. On the porch, Belle and Beast do a meet and greet and the line moves pretty quickly.

So, does it cost more to sit on the inside where they come to your table? I have never experienced a character meal where the characters did not make the rounds to the tables. I thought that is why you are paying a premium price for a barely above average meal. We do enjoy the character meals, but would be VERY disappointed if they did not come to the table and interact with the kids - both big and little kids

Wow, you paid for a premium character meal and had to wait in line to see them!!!!!

When we went in Jan, they came around to the tables. But we didn't have a great experience and probably won't go back. (We love Goofy's Kitchen for our character breakfasts). We did have to stand in line to see the Beast, but his costume is so big, he can't get around the tables, so that was understandable. I can't imagine having to wait in line to see all of them.

The price is the same no matter if you are seated inside or outside.

No it doesn't cost anymore to sit inside. We had actually requested to sit outside since my mom wasn't feeling well that day and the fresh air away from food smells was better for her. Maybe that was just unusual to have the princesses not come outside much, I don't know. The tables were just so close together there was no room to move. Of all the character meals I have eaten this was definitely the least well run. The problem is just too many people in too small a place. I don't think the Plaza Inn was ever designed with character dining in mind. I guess I just still thought it was worth it to have all three generations of my family together and pretty much every princess but Ariel was there that day. Just go with the knowledge that you may have to patient or maybe just save the money and have a muffin at Blue Ribbon Bakery and find the princesses elsewhere, it certainly can be done! This was also a few months ago, maybe they have improved the set up! Also, we just went inside to get some autographs and when we told them we were outside they more than happy to spend time with us in there but that wasn't ideal since our whole party couldn't do this at once.

We just went April 20th and had a good time. We had Snow White, Aladdin, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Dumb, and Mary Poppins come to our table and do the picture/autograph things and Cinderella and Belle/Beast took turns rotating through a place outside. Every 20 minutes they changed. The food was pretty standard Disney Breakfast buffet fare.

Just got home tonight. did princess breakfast on thursday had a PS for 9:20 and were seated by 9:30. First Cinderella came by, the Mary Popins, then the F. Godmother. Then Belle came out and a line formed, we didn't get in line because we had seen her the day before. Aladin and Jasime came out and we saw them as they were leaving in the food area. Also saw Snow white, but had to do the line thing. The CM were trying hard to get people to stay in their seats and wait for the characters to come to them, instead of forming a line. the only line they wanted was for beauty and the beast, because he is too big to move around. Food was so so but I expected that. Overall a good deal, although in the future I would go either eariler or later as the best time to ride rides is 9 to 10.

We went in early March and had a great time. We made early reservations- I think the earliest that we could get, so we were escorted in the park before it opened. Snow White, Jasmine, Fairy Godmother, Mary Poppins, Belle, Beast, Cinderella, & Prince Charming were all there. They spent quality time with my kids. I did notice that as it got later and later that we didn't see the characters as much. I think they were starting to seat people outside by that time. We sat inside. Thought it was pretty nice.
