I love my travel agent -- been using them for years (but not Dreams though). I can't post them here, however. I email her ahead of time and tell them our general itinerary wish list and room type and I just love the fact that on opening day THEY spend the time on the phone and just email me my room and rates and I'm all set :thumbsup2

Well, first week of October gone and no openings this week

In looking at the Grand Cayman port schedule for July 2014, the Fantasy is in port the week I want for the Western Caribbean. Maybe my plan will all come together! :goodvibes

Isn't it time for 2014 schedules soon? Or am I asking too early?

It seems, based on recent communication from TAs to clients, that anytime now would be a good bet. I'd guess next week or the week after.

Once again - when referring to a TA that one uses, PLEASE use the full url of the website. Do not try and be creative in the spelling of the website or give ways of finding the TA on the internet if you know the TA is not allowed to be mentioned on DIS, infractions will be given and posts deleted.
If you post the url of a website and the website comes up as *********** then the website is not allowed to be mentioned on DIS.

The same rules apply for posts on the the boards and when giving info in a PM.

If there are any questions about this please refer to the DIS board guidelines that everyone agreed to when signing up on DIS!

The port is Nassau, but I doubt there will be much change in the Dream's itineraries, other than some possible 5-night double dips.

So a PM is not really private? Someone other than the sender and receiver reads PMs?

My boyfriend (now fiancé) proposed to me last week on the Wonder and we're currently planning our wedding on the Dream for 2014. These dates can't be announced soon enough!

Does anyone know if it's too late for us to contact DCL about doing a double dip cruise? He just let me know that he wants to take a honeymoon -- the cruise right after our wedding!

We just booked our placeholder last week, but we're obviously not on the ship anymore. Do we have to wait until our next cruise in February to book the second leg of our cruise with the onboard booking offers or is there something DCL can do for us now?

Do you possibly mean a B2B (back to back). A double dip is when the ship makes two stops at Castaway Cay on the same cruise. A B2B is two cruises back to back.

Booking offers are only good when you are on the ship. Unfortunately, your second cruise would be at the regular rate. But, it never hurts to call DCL and ask.

Yes, I did mean a B2B -- I'm such a rookie with the terminology! That's the answer that I'd feared, but we'll be cruising again in February so I'll just book it then.

    Thanks for the reply!

The DVC reservation site and Member Services is going down the same time, so I would guess this is a system wide update.

I received a TA communication that the reservation system for WDW and DLR will be down Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon, so it looks like a general systemwide maintenance.

how often can you move a dummy book? say I booked a 2013, can I move it to a 2014, then to a 2015?

You sure can! No limits, just be sure to move it prior to the dummy date's final payment due date. If you forget, that reservation will be cancelled and you lose your deposit. This just happened to my SIL. She completely forgot and now it's too late. Luckily, I guess, she only had herself on the reservation, not her whole family of 4 or the deposit would have been much higher.

Little off topic...can you reserve a cabin with just one name? We need a 5 person veranda room prefer 8th deck. Can I book this just for me. Money is tight and I would really like wiggle room.

Yes, but as the ship fills, so does the lifeboat space. So even if there's room for five in your cabin, there might not be enough space in your assigned lifeboat, so you will be limited to how many people you can put in your cabin. As the kids' clubs fill, they will restrict the number of kids per age group who can still book the cruise.
