Eragon was great and I also read Eldest, but I think they ripped the movie off!

I really enjoy the Harry Potter Books and films, also Lord Of Rings Book was totally awsome as well as the trilogy of films. One classic Fantasy Film I love is The Princess Bride. I also liked Narnia(all the books) and the movie was good too and The Bridge to Teribithia both the book and film was good.

    Favorite fantasy books...

anything by Tamora Pierce, she's amazing.
    Marked
    Twilight Series
    Harry Potter
    Eragon and Eldest
    The Faerie Path
The Faerie Wars (need to finish this....but I really like it. Good humor, too.)
Wicked Lovely (need to finish this, but so good so far!)
    Tithe
The Farsala Trilogy (I need to finish the second book and buy the third....)
I have Anne Rice's novels, too.
    City of Bones
So You Want to be a Wizard Series
    Daughters of the Moon

My favorite fantasy animal/creature....hmmm...I'm torn between faerys and vampyres. A little of both, I guess.

I think the book Eragon was why better than the movie because they left a lot of villages and stuff out of the movie.

I'm not positive. They aren't a series, so they wouldn't be in the same place. The Faerie Path is set in an alternate world/London, though.
