Anna and Elsa on a Star Wars cruise

My favorite thing to do on a Disney Vacation is meet the characters. With two boys, I do not get to meet many of the princesses! I have not used a FP or waited in the hours of lines to meet Anna and Elsa, but I have heard they do special meet and greets on the cruises. We will be on the Fantasy for a Star Wars cruise in early 2017. How does this work? Do you go to the front desk right as you board the ship to see what is available? Does the Fantasy have other characters you can sign up to see especially on a Star Wars cruise? Are you limited to a certain amount?

Also, can you meet SW characters on this cruise for a regular meet? Who is usually there?

Sorry for all of the questions! I just thought I would get them all out there at once! Thanks for any tips in advance!

When you online check in window opens, there are a few meet and greets that you can book at that time - Princess Gathering, Frozen, and character breakfast (if your cruise has one). All other regular (Disney) meet and greets are lines at the meet and greet. You can pre-book 1 of each type.

Don't know about Star Wars specific meet and greets, maybe someone else can chime in on those, if there are any.

Thanks for the help. Is the sign up on the on-line check-in a more recent thing. We cruised last summer, and I don't remember seeing that. Is it obvious or can it be easily missed? I just don't want to miss it! Thanks!

Yeah, it just started a month or two ago.

You'll find it under the "onboard fun" tab:

There was a form for SWDAS meet & greets left in our room on the first night. We had to rank our preferences among three choices: Bespin, Dark Side, and I can't remember the third because it was our third choice! We had to drop off the form at Guest Services. Tickets were then delivered to our room. We had Bespin at 9:50 on the morning of SWDAS and the Dark Side the next day. They didn't tell you who was who, so we guessed. Bespin was Boba Fett. I don't know the other two because we ended up oversleeping and missing our Thursday morning time with the Dark Side (we stayed up way late enjoying the SWDAS festivities!). I know Chewbacca was at one of them and I assume that was not the dark side. :)

They also have random Star Wars characters wandering the ship on the Star Wars day. Some of them were easier to get pictures with than others. But some of the guests on board have amazing costumes and ended up taking pictures with other guests. Seeing the costumes of other guests was an awesome part of the cruise!

Thanks! I was hoping to meet more than two SW characters, but I think my boys will love to see them walking around. I wish we could at least pick the two characters we would like to meet. Oh well. I am not huge SW fan, but I know my children will enjoy it. Thanks for all of the information! It has helped with my planning.

Great info ! I want to meet Anna, Elsa, AND the princesses! I'd better check that tab (thanks to this post, now I know). I hope I'm not too late :hourglass
