Today is a new day and I have a positive attitude (and even have make up on, lol)!!! Together my family can get through anything....some days are just harder than others.

Oh boy, men!!! Well hopefully her bloodwork will come back and shed light onto while she isn't feeling well. Take one day at a time and when you feel up to it just start making a few packing piles :)

    Woohoo!!!!

Good morning, from yes, the Library :sad1:. As much as I miss TV, I have to say no Internet is the tough one! I have retaught myself how to play Backgammon, Hearts and so on. I guess this is what we did in the "good old days" :scratchin

babyberger, hang in there, it will get better. Just let other people help you and get excited for Disney!

sjs, I know the Holidays are hard, plus add in your MIL and her issues. UGGG. Sending you lots of hugs!!! You are getting close to your trip, I would imagine the pas girl's photos that Janet posted would get you excited. Seeing that Castle lit up, the beautiful decorated trees, the food...all good! :goodvibes.

miss, my DH retired a number of years ago, at an early age for retirement. Over the first year or so there were a number of household chores he took over (trying to be helpful), one being doing the dishes and loading and unloading the dishwasher. Now he thinks he is the only one who can do the job correctly, ha, who am I to argue?! :rotfl:

DetTigsGal, you are your way! Thanksgiving at WDW :goodvibes. Look forward to hearing about your trip!!!

Jenny, yay for getting the ADRs you wanted!

Grumpy Grandma, glad you found your phone! Sounds like you are cooking for Thanksgiving. I love the family time of the holiday, but the grocery store, UGGG. I will be there tomorrow morning. :scared1:

I am sure pas is busy now that she is home, but looking forward to hearing about her trip!

    :grouphug: to everyone I missed!

    Hi everyone!

Sarah: Yes, in the good ole days we had lots more conversations too didn't we??? Hope you are feeling good these days...

Miss: Yes DH is over that dreaded 'man flu', it wasn't pretty!:scared: And yes I heard him say a couple of times 'you don't care about me!!' Yes I do care, but boy sometimes he needs to just suck it up a wee bit!;)

DetTigGal: Oh yeah baby!! Have an amazing trip!!:cheer2::dance3::yay:

Sheila: Hope all is well with MIL.:flower3:

Melissa: So glad to hear you are having a better day...hugs:grouphug:

Well, I am off to a Girl Guide 'mom and Me' sleepover with DD6 tonight. Lots of crafts and games and a nature hike in the morning. I am not exactly the most crafty person, but I will try my best!! I have to look at it as good bonding time for her and I. We don't get too much time alone.

Before that though we are seeing Wreck it Ralph this afternoon...I am excited!

Have a good weekend all. :grouphug:

So, I've been absent for a couple of days...we've just been very busy. DD8's musical - The Velveteen Rabbit, is in full swing!! We saw the show today and are very proud of our (not so) little girl! :goodvibes

Anywho, we have decided to make a change to our trip....:crazy2:
We have decided....because we are spending sooooo much on Christmas, plus we both need tires for our cars ....we will be staying in a royal room at POR!!! :yay:

I have not told the girls as they have said they will just have the resort be a surprise. DH and I are happy with the $1300 savings!!! :dance3: I was also surprised that I could get a standard view room because when I had called about POR several weeks ago they only had river view available, which ate into the savings.

Also funny...at the end of my conversation with "Buck" he says "nooooooo way"...I was alarmed and he started to laugh...he said..."we have spoken before...I helped you with a Magical Express issue back in August" :rotfl2:

I told him I call a lot and that's bound to happen, he said that there was quite an extensive file...and that he was glad to help me again...:lmao:

So, POR, here we come!! Oh, and our reservation is PIF!!!! :dance3:

Great change and yay for PIF! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I've been eyeing POR myself. We could save over $1100 by changing our ONE GF night to POR. My head knows I should change, but my heart isn't letting me just yet.

Wow!!! I haven't looked but that GF room must be :crazy2: expensive!!!

I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay that much, I wish I could! :upsidedow

We are planning on this trip being pretty park intensive with the FLE at MK and Test Track reopening, etc...so POR is a good fit for us not planning on being around too much. ::yes::

Hi! I had posted a few times on the last version of the thread...but things had settled down, we thought 'for sure' we were going back next November so life continued on...

Then we unexpectedly got the opportunity to take a child-free 6 night trip in February. We've booked WL standard club level. But, I keep second guessing whether I need to changeover to YC club level. DH LOVES Epcot, but we've never stayed at WL. ARGH. I have a feeling I'm calling to switch tomorrow :(

Question - for a room only reservation, can they just change it to the other resort without having to refund the deposit and rebook completely? Even if it changes the type of discount (going from the Feb room only offer to military discount - don't ask me why I didn't just book the mil discount to begin with)?

    THANKS!

CRO will have no issue just changing the resort without having to rebook. I speak from experience ;) oh and congrats on the kid free vaca!!!!!

WELCOME HOME!!!! Cant wait to hear about the whirlwind Pas princess trip!!! Rest...no way, that would be way to easy. DD is losing her voice and has a low grade temp and burnt my finger with scalding olive oil tonight....I swear it never ends, LOL!! And forget the calls and texts DH is dealing with ;)

pas - You're back! I can't wait to hear more about your trip! :cool1:

ready2vacation- the WL seems so cozy for an adults only trip, but the YC would be great too! Whatever you decide will be great. :goodvibes

Mousemommy - Sounds like your DD has been enjoying her play! :goodvibes

babyberger - Keep your eye on the prize, CR is going to be awesome! :woohoo:

I think you ladies are talking some sense into me. GF may be going bye-bye tomorrow. I'm not feeling the love for my Dolphin ressie right about now either. :sad2: Where will I end up? Who knows at this point :upsidedow

Oh boy, Melissa  you poor thing!! I know exactly the texts DH is getting! ;)

I know how you feel, I have such guilt with the $$$ I spent at WDW and US, but it was well worth it! We ate 2 meals in the lounge so CL was worth it! Would it be worth it for all of us :confused3

It is doubtful that the girls will want to stay anywhere other than Poly or GF :cloud9: The Poly was AMAZING!!! WOW!!!! And GF, the smell, the lobby...

BLT is out for our summer trip, HRH disliked the decor...WL got "I'll stay here if I have too, but it's not my favorite"

DH has given me a laundry list of things we need, the house needs, etc...so we may be at POR in Summer when all is said and done as well, as long as I get back to WDW!!!!!!!!!

That's what I said....at least we are getting back to WDW!!! :cool1:

POR is going to be awesome!!!! Well, it'll be decent at least. :lmao:

Not as exciting as BC, but can't be as bad as CBR! I am excited to give the mods another go.

See, that's me with CBR, and it's why I am so scared of the mods :confused3 but both CSR and POR seem great! DH mentioned that he liked the pics I sent him of the pool at Poly and the girls on the beach...decisions, right??

CBR definitely made me "mod-phobic", but I am hoping POR will change my mind (my wallet hopes so too!) :goodvibes

But, even though we didn't like CBR, we still had an amazing trip, so even the "worst of the worst" wasn't all bad I guess. ::yes::

I'm glad you loved the Poly. :lovestruc

The house stuff :worried: Two of our neighbors are getting new siding and now DH is on the kick to follow suit. The thing is, they are both getting away with less then honest insurance claims to pay for it. They both did it with new roofs last year too. :rolleyes2 I'm not going there. Bad karma. We paid for our new roof and we will pay for our new siding. After another year of APs ::yes::

POR does look gorgeous, and those royal rooms are adorable. :goodvibes

I cannot make myself call CRO today. The trip is part of the kiddos Xmas present and DH did say to use anniversary budget too so the travel budget will not take the full hit. I have to use some serious Disney math to support keeping it :teacher:, but... no changes will be made today. :cool1:
