Everything You Do, CELEBRATE YOU! - Polynesian - Club Level - TPV

Day 5
Saturday 26th September 2015
Part 1 – Pool day and the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Good morning!
It’s Saturday!
That means avoiding the parks like the plague!
Well, until tonight at least.
You really think I can stay away for an entire day?
I think not.

Jamie woke up at 8am to watch football (soccer) – what commitment!
I woke up at 8:30am, and went to get some breakfast from the lounge at 9am.

Jamie had two eggs and a mini muffin.
He’s healthy.

I had two mini muffins, a bagel with cream cheese, and a croissant with butter and jam.
I am not healthy.
Forgive me Father for I have sinned.

25727833106_c098920c28_b.jpg

I ate on the balcony and texted people back home.

25127291373_781c6b2bd2_b.jpg

We both enjoyed the bagel and muffins so much, I got some more to save for lunch.
Unfortunately the same guy saw me leaving the lounge with all four platefuls from both visits, he must have though I was crazy!

25727822096_0147114509_b.jpg

I went back out on the balcony for a while, and I didn’t even notice that Jamie had been spying on me…

25727816916_4fea0c8403_b.jpg

At 10:30am I went down to the pool!

I could not for the LIFE of me figure out how to open the Magic Band-operated gates?!?!
I don’t know what people are complaining about with pool hoppers, I was staying there and I couldn’t even get in!
Thankfully someone was exiting so I was able to nip in then :thumbsup2

The pool was lovely and quiet, and the tiki music was very soothing.

25727803976_c7c9430a7b_b.jpg

At one point an old man was walking past, and he turned to me with a smirk on his face and said,
“Life of Riley!”
I humoured him with a bit of a giggle, but really I had no clue what that meant, so I got Jamie to Google it…

25658791071_b9f52d2504_z.jpg

:rotfl:

How rude!
And presumptious!

And inaccurate!!! I pay my share! :sad2:

ANYWAY!

I had a dip in the pool, it was so nice because it was really hot today.

I’d seen people complain about hair and leaves and stuff in the pool before.
I was a little apprehensive because that grosses me out, but the water was crystal clear :goodvibes

At around 12:30pm I told Jamie how quiet and relaxing it was with just the Hawaiian music playing.
So he came down, and as soon as he took his seat, the kids activities started up and a speaker was blasting music right next to us :rotfl:

Still, we enjoyed watching the games.
Even though I preferred lounging to the tiki music, they did play some fun tunes.
(Wild Wild West, How Does She Know, Bop To The Top, and Space Jam, anyone?! Just me? OK.)

We went back to the room at about 2pm and ate our bagels and muffins from earlier.
Then I napped from 2:30 – 3:30pm!
It’s been a very challenging day.

Later on I got up, showered, and got ready for dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse!

Our reservation was at 6pm, but after yesterday’s transportation fiasco we left the room at 5pm to make sure we weren’t late.

Here we are looking fairly smart.

(Squint!!!)

25727797516_a09e3326e9_b.jpg

25632870092_20f953426d_b.jpg

We walked along the beach to the TTC and took the monorail to Epcot.

25658772481_e582f5ba9b_b.jpg

At 5:25pm we were rolling into the park.
Check out these views!
There’s Mission Space…

25727773206_da53633995_b.jpg

And Test Track…

25753823515_b19e4409e7_b.jpg

And the Magic Kingd-
Oh wait?
What?

25632838142_0e34bf0675_b.jpg

You didn’t get off at Epcot, you ask?
No, we did not get off at Epcot.
Because a certain somebody forgot his Magic Band.

*sigh*

tumblr_inline_o1h8k1evAB1s286kl_500.gif

We could’ve just got a cab around to the Yacht Club, but we wanted to get a dessert from Food and Wine after the meal, so we continued all the way back around to the TTC to retrieve it.

Just a nice casual loop of the monorail within an hour of a fancy meal.
No big deal.
:rolleyes2

We exited the monorail and I made Jamie RUN back to the room to get his band.

25632832612_b45100cd4f_b.jpg

I went to meet him back at the lobby.

25127202653_848c9fe6b6_c.jpg

Hymie returned at 5:42pm, complete with magic band, and we jumped into a cab at the front of the resort.

We finally arrived at the Yacht Club at 5:55pm!

25658710331_c515ce1435_b.jpg

25753765405_e72d6e0fa1_b.jpg

PHEW!
I really didn’t think we were going to make it on time.

We checked in and were greeted by our server, Bev.
I kind of recognised her, and thought maybe she served us last year…
Then she said,
“I think I recognise you two, did you eat here about a year ago?”
Amazing!
Bev is amazing.
She is probably the friendliest CM I’ve ever met.
She said that she was glad to have us here about 8 times

We chatted to her for a while, and she told us she is one of the original Yacht Club CMs, having worked here since the day it opened 25 years ago!
That’s longer than I’ve been alive!!
She obviously loves this place and loves her job.
She’s the best.
I hope anyone planning on eating there gets to meet Bev. :goodvibes

We looked at the menus and ordered some drinks.

25127161173_51e511e52a_b.jpg

25126583873_d199e68812_b.jpg

Jamie ordered a beer and I got the Pimm's Punch.

25753751415_4d6f22f399_c.jpg

Sadly I didn’t like the Pimm's Punch !!!
It was wayyy too sweet for me.
It was like drinking straight strawberry syrup :crazy2:
I really couldn’t drink it.

But remember how amazing Bev is.
Hold that thought for later :thumbsup2

25727684616_d3e1dcee6f_b.jpg

Soon Bev brought us some sourdough and onion bread with sea salt butter and garlic.

25453016660_00c72b8c4b_b.jpg

Yum and wow.
This bread is so delicious.
I would’ve asked for more if I didn’t have three more courses coming up!

Then came our appetisers.
Jamie got the shrimp cocktail.

25632738742_310fa1ecde_b.jpg

He liked it, but I don’t think he was expecting it to be cold shrimp on ice (there’s a new ice-skating show for you!) and I think he would’ve ordered something else if he had known.
But it was still good.

I got the lobster bisque.

25658641331_813c90e36e_b.jpg

Omg.
Yum and WOW.
This was SO good.
Lobster isn’t very common in England, so I wasn't sure if I would like it…
But I looooved it.
I especially loved dipping my onion bread into it (I’m so classy.)
I would definitely have this again next time!

Jamie was a little perplexed at using his hands to eat his shrimp in a fancy restaurant, but there wasn’t really another option.
Once he’d finished he put his knife and fork together on the plate to make it look like he’d used them and not his hands

Then for our entrees we both got the 6-oz Black Angus Filet Mignon (medium rare) with Mashed Potatoes and Cabernet Wine Sauce.

25753703765_3fa2fa517a_b.jpg

Ohhhh boyyyy.
Everything was cooked so well, yum yum yum amazing.
This was such a tasty meal.

We also shared a side of garlic mushrooms which were really good too.
Except I dropped mushroom sauce all over the table cloth :sad2:
(Like I said, I’m classy).

We didn’t finish them all either, and Jamie was like,
“you can’t just throw them all over the table and not eat them!”

Anyway, another perfect steak dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse!
You really can’t go wrong with this place.
Except maybe for the Pimm's Punch.

Speaking of the Pimm's Punch!
When Bev was clearing our plates away she noticed my drink was still full, and asked if I wasn’t enjoying it.
I’ve never sent anything back in a restaurant when it just doesn’t meet my taste preferences, but I had to be honest with my pal Bev since she asked, so I just told her it was a bit too sweet for my liking.
Well, she said she could switch it for something else no problem, and recommended the glowtini, which she brought out straight away!
I thought this was so nice of her.
God bless you Bev.

25727637566_2f8c3b963a_c.jpg

This was MUCH nicer!
And more fun.

25727635596_a772ab2cf4_b.jpg

Jamie then decided to order a dessert since I had an entire cocktail to drink.
He got the crème brulee!
It was tasty!
And HUGE!
It defeated both of us!

25127089943_65dc5016c9_b.jpg

25452978340_6f1919c247_c.jpg

We ate as much of it as we could, then settled the bill.
I finished my drink and pocketed my first glow cube of the year :thumbsup2
Then we headed out.

25658612291_c60d64445a_b.jpg

Overall this was an amazing meal with amazing service.
They really take care of you, and they always make sure you leave with a high opinion of the restaurant.
Top score for the Yachtsman Steakhouse!

:goodvibes

Day 5
Saturday 26th September 2015
Part 2 – Epcot and its resorts.

We were extremely full after our meal so we decided to explore the Yacht and Beach Club for a while and see if we fancied a Food and Wine dessert a bit later on.

We explored the Yacht Club first, obviously.

25658607731_9f182f18f5_b.jpg

25753669925_05577ab35f_b.jpg

25753664475_aec1e8b044_c.jpg

I think the Yacht Club is absolutely beautiful and so elegant.
I’m not sure how I feel about the room décor though, but once they get a new design I would LOVE to stay here.

We wandered outside, gahh I’m so in love with this whole Epcot resorts area.
I really fell in love with it when we stayed at the Beach Club last year.

25123224144_1b5c928a4d_b.jpg

25753652765_f5cdf9bf02_b.jpg

25127043933_397851e4df_b.jpg

25127026673_d1951cfe43_b.jpg

Then we went into the Beach Club!
Owww my happy little heart!!!

25127019573_36ce690ea7_c.jpg

I didn’t think I could be any more in love with the Beach Club, but then they renovated the rooms since we stayed there, and WOW.
I think they look incredible!
I would LOVE to stay in one of those rooms some day.
Whoever is renovating these rooms is doing such an amazing job.
I love the new Beach Club, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk Villas (etc.) rooms.
Even Riverside, Coronado and Caribbean Beach are looking great.
I’m crossing my fingers for a Yacht Club and Wilderness Lodge renovation soon!

The lobby was just as beautiful as I remembered it, although the famous Beach Club smell wasn't really circulating.
But I can get past that.
(MAYBE we'd find that smell somewhere else tomorrow... MAYBE.)

We had a look in the Marketplace.

25753613675_cdd40613c3_b.jpg

Then I went to the bathroom and noticed SIX of these HUGE bites on my arm!!!

25753605205_69795019ee_b.jpg

They were big swollen bumps, gahhh.
Note to self, remember to bug-spray.

Anyway, here’s me attempting to make a heart shape in front of the Beach Club, but it looks like more of a kidney if you ask me.

25753600215_283cdaa3ce_b.jpg

I KIDNEY YOU BEACH CLUB.

At 8pm we walked through International Gateway and into Epcot.

25122787484_c2584010bd_b.jpg

We had a look for some dessert items at F&W, but who were we trying to kid, we’d already had a three course meal!
FOUR courses if you count the bread.
We were not up for it.
Plus it was the first Saturday of Food and Wine, so it was PACKED.
So we just walked through to Future World.

We got to see people in the cranberry bog!

25126990683_29276f5762_b.jpg

25753583485_c5631c9b77_b.jpg

Jamie got a picture of me in front of the Fountain of Nations :goodvibes

25658508731_04f31b7335_b.jpg

There were some long waits tonight, so we went to The Seas and walked right on!

25727503196_128a473560_b.jpg

25452848020_00e1cba344_b.jpg

The Seas always makes me a bit jittery because I'm terrified of sharks, and generally dislike the entire ocean by association.
But believe it or not, this year I actually enjoyed the experience!!!
We did the ride and looked at the tanks, and it was fun!

Face your fears people!!!

25658481611_d47428c1bd_b.jpg

The scuba divers were out too.
This person was taking time out of their diving session to amuse the kids (and the adults!)

25126940983_36d31227c8_b.jpg

It reminded me of everyone's favourite maple syrup friend @pkondz who did the same thing on his February trip!
(If you haven't read his Canadian Buffoon reports, go do it now.
Wait no! Finish mine first, THEN go read his :thumbsup2)

Next we walked up to The Land to check out the wait time at Soarin'.
75 minutes!
No thank you.

25753537475_78cd22ac6f_b.jpg

So we left and headed to Spaceship Earth.

As I said last year, here’s one the best things about Epcot at night, and if you disagree, you’re wrong:

25658457441_e246dc062f_b.jpg

We walked straight on to Spaceship Earth, YAY.

25452810480_90c903359f_b.jpg

We pulled ugly faces for the picture.
Brace yourselves.

25727455486_4171a45d81_b.jpg

25126902633_a304d48667_b.jpg

:scared:

:rotfl:

Watching these faces prancing around in the video was funny, we were cracking up.

After the ride Jamie played some more Innervision, he loves stuff like this :)

25753500305_593145e20d_b.jpg

I went to email our video to myself (but it never came through :sad2:)
I was amused to see us dancing on the big screen.

25658426821_80b0774eef_b.jpg

25123056114_49d05db1f7_b.jpg

I had a little look around and had a go at Super Driver, but I was not very good.
(Lol female drivers, amirite?! :thumbsup2)

25632507582_2d5c95b3bb_b.jpg

While I was gone, SOMEHOW Jamie managed to do THIS?!?

25753208825_c821fa8018_b.jpg

“Reaction Time: 0.00 seconds”
WHAT.
How is that even a thing?!
And what do you need to do to get "Great!" ?!?! :confused3

It was 9:30pm now so we left Epcot and got the monorail back to the TTC, and walked back to the Poly.

I got a chocolate mousse from the lounge, yum!

25452774080_64e7795fd3_b.jpg

Then I watched some Disney Channel until 11pm when I fell asleep.

JUST KIDDING.

Magic Kingdom is open til 1am!

Go go go!

don't know what a corndog is
It's a hotdog on a stick wrapped in corn bread
1zd7lhv.jpg

They actually sell Corndog nuggets at Casey's Corner :)

Animal poop was on my to-eat list, I was disappointed they don't serve it up anymore :sad2: (If anyone out of the loop reads this convo.. :rotfl:
:rotfl2:

ME TOO! I used to visit a city called York with my family, and they had this super nerdy shop that sold rare Pokemon cards and I was allowed to get one on each trip, ugh it was the best thing ever!! We should start a movement to bring back Pokemon cards
Absolutely!! Too bad kids aren't interested in things anymore unless they run on batteries:confused3

if I don't like it I will blame you!!!
Oh no! Well if you don't like it, you didn't hear about it from me!:rotfl:

You really don't want me coming between your two posts, do you.

:lmao:

I HAVE FOUR UPDATES TO POST, SO YOU DID IT ANYWAY DIDN'T YOU.

:rotfl:

Just kidding, I just really like posting a new day at the top of a page, so imma hog those top two spots. Consider it a cute quirk, rather than ridiculous and high maintenance :thumbsup2

Awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying it  And I'm also glad you like the accent  during my first TR people were like "post more videos of you talking so I can hear your accent", so I have been doing, but everyone hates hearing themselves talk on tape right?! So I'm conflicted between sticking to my promise, and cringing at the sound of my own voice :scared:  but you've reassured me, thank you! And I don't think I'll ever go to Disney and not cry! It's good to know I'm not alone

I like that you're a David Tennant fan, I don't watch Doctor Who or anything, but he seems like a lovely person whenever I see him on talk shows and stuff. Actually he was the main character in a British show called Broadchurch, I really liked him in that. It's kind of a murder mystery, I recommend season 1 if you like that kind of thing! Plus I love his Scottish accent :lovestruc it's my favourite accent. Maybe because my Dad is Scottish :goodvibes

Nooo not crazy at all! I love making friends with other Disneyholics here!

Definitely post videos of you talking! We would love it. My almost sister in laws family is from London and I could listen to her Mom talk ALL DAY! :rotfl2:
I love David Tennant in Broadchurch :lovestruc. He was great in that. And I do love his accent also, it's my favorite also.

Great update. Keep it coming. I hope one day to eat at Yachtsman. It's hard to find a good steak, but that steak looked magnifico!

Day 5
Saturday 26th September 2015
Part 3 - Magic Kingdom at 1am (part 1)

Jamie opted to stay behind and catch up on football, so I left the room just after 11pm to get the boat to Magic Kingdom!

A boat was pulling up right when I arrived :sail:

Here we go.

25126876883_360c95e37b_b.jpg

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME.

25753473275_a903185614_b.jpg

25126864463_6391b209ae_b.jpg

25753464445_4f5e3a65a7_b.jpg

Since Jamie is so reluctant to go shopping, I decided to look for something for him to wear to the Halloween party in a few days time.
I went into the Emporium and walked through all the connecting stores down Main Street.
I saw this pair of boxer shorts that he could wear with a black t shirt and some Mickey ears?!

(Sorry, weird phone pic)

25122771814_8eb68a1145_c.jpg

I tried to send this to him but it wouldn’t send through the wifi, and that’s all my British phone has to rely on at Disney.
However, when I showed him the next day, he said there was no way he could walk around Disney in boxer shorts!

25126854933_013af4a74c_c.jpg

Next I walked around to Liberty Square because I wanted to browse Ye Oldy Christmas Shoppy.

25753455385_ef69d0da3b_c.jpg

The shop was empty, and it smelled like Christmas, YAY.

25632469442_9ab2081dd2_b.jpg

I love the ornaments so much.

When I’m a grown up I’m going to have a Christmas Tree filled with Disney decorations.

25727382256_5a55b0e309_c.jpg

25727376176_ba64b5cfd6_c.jpg

25632449072_0480c5a68b_b.jpg

(I didn’t buy any because they were fairly expensive, but I found some on sale at the Disney Store back home :thumbsup2
I got Pascal in a dress, Beast in the bath, the pod of peas from Toy Story, and my Mum got me a Mary Poppins for Christmas!)

Then I went to Memento Mori, for the first time ever!

25126822033_4c618fc98d_c.jpg

I took a picture of this cool Ghost Host shirt that I found for $25 (which Jamie ended up getting!)

25122988694_cb4d05b189_c.jpg

There was also a women’s version, and I considered scrapping my Buzz Lightyear outfit and getting this so we would match…

25126595143_b38576beb1_c.jpg

But this one was $40!

FORTY!

tumblr_m8now4QgV21qabfx1o2_500.gif

I left and continued around to New Fantasyland and took some pictures.

25126811043_188d23abfb_c.jpg

25753411475_c2b0b17aef_b.jpg

25122975354_b4e85f4b79_b.jpg

25122972024_008401ec02_c.jpg

I had a look in Bonjour Village Gifts, they have the cutest things in there.
I also took a picture of this Gaston shirt for Jamie.
(But it might be women's? I'm not sure, I can't tell the sleeve length.)

25727135956_cdd11814a1_c.jpg

Then I went to ride Journey of the Little Mermaid!

25122965874_2bdb20930f_b.jpg

There was no wait at all, so I walked straight on, and looked through my pictures whilst singing along.
In my head, of course. :rolleyes1

I checked in to see how the newlyweds were doing.

Ariel is still full of regret, and Eric is still high as a kite.

25452685420_5b5c4767dd_b.jpg

I exited the ride and had a look at the wait times on the app.
What a great sight!

25632383932_e26a440528_z.jpg

25727304556_e34385d0f1_z.jpg

25452655210_ecf4534798_z.jpg

Since I’m a bit backwards, I went for the ride with the longest wait, Peter Pan.
But hear me out!
I wanted to see the newly renovated standby line.
So what better time than now?
The wait time was posted at 25 minutes, but I only waited a little over 15 :thumbsup2
And it was worth it!

25658323461_c5572d5282_b.jpg

25632401152_3a131ac229_b.jpg

25452667370_9ea043d0d6_b.jpg

After the paintings you come to the family’s garden.
You can find Nana in her doghouse, and you can see the parents through the window.

25632390242_1710e25ed3_b.jpg

Then you go into the house, and find yourself in the children’s bedroom!
This is where it gets really good!
Tink flies around and knocks the picture frames, spins the globe, etc etc.
It’s GREAT.
There’s also an interactive shadow wall, where you can ring bells and let butterflies land on you.
(The flickering lines show up in the video for some reason, but you can't see them at all in real life.)

It's basically an attraction in it's own right.
Everyone seemed more excited by the queue than the actual ride

I still enjoyed the ride though, OBV.

Saturday 26th September 2015
Part 4 - Magic Kingdom at 1am (part 2)

It was now 00:30 and I was wondering what to do.
I briefly went up to Enchanted Tales With Belle, but they need twenty people to run the show, and I was the only one there .

25658300651_9d8f99b54e_b.jpg

I decided to make my way out of the park via a stroll through Frontierland and Adventureland, because I just love being there.

Splash was sending down empty logs!
I would’ve ridden it had I not just washed my hair a few hours ago.
(Frizz-prone people will understand!)

25452654210_9dbbf0ffb1_b.jpg

I had Frontierland all to myself!

25658289761_7cd8d9f582_b.jpg

25632371012_86fbfc5079_b.jpg

There was a really great photopass photographer on Main Street.
He had me doing some fun poses.

25753191735_2d616aa7cf_c.jpg

25126745353_6f1cd12922_c.jpg

As I said before, Jamie doesn’t enjoy shopping, so this was a good opportunity for me to browse the stores on Main Street.

First I went into Crystal Arts.

25452613680_72c9a81c01_c.jpg

25632353172_fc1766b1cf_b.jpg

I made a note of a couple of souvenirs to buy:

25452636300_3c10d247be_c.jpg

25126724423_2288c2e16e_c.jpg

Just kidding, these are more my price-range :thumbsup2

25452631800_64c50f42c0_b.jpg

Then I had a quick look at the Dooney and Burke bags in Uptown Jewelers.

They are cute but I prefer some of the older designs.
Plus I don’t think I’d use one outside of Disney, and even in Disney I’d be worried about it getting splashed or rained on :confused3

The last store was a favourite of mine, the Main Street Cinema.

This is what I want my future house to look like

As I was exiting the art shop it was 1am, and the Kiss Goodnight started!
I walked back down Main Street to get a better look.

“Your dreeeeeams coooome truuuuuue!”

I love catching this!

But I guess that means it’s time for bed…

*sigh*

Ok ok I’ll leave now.

Just let me get some pictures of one of my favourite spots real quick!

I got the boat and arrived back at the Poly at about 1:30am.

I found Jamie like this.

Aww! :cutie:
He’s a great Disney companion, but he can’t quite keep up with me :thumbsup2

I tidied up the bathroom a little bit, and finally got to sleep at 2am!

Goodnight World!

I think these are the two best characters to meet because they're so animated! During one meet and greet I witnessed Doug run out of the meet and greet to chase down an ice cream kisok!

On all three of my adult trips I've said THIS is the year I will meet Russell and Dug... Still haven't :sad2: 2016 is the year!!! I must make time for this! That sounds so cute :dogdance:

This ride terrifies me to this day, and I'm legally an adult!

It seems like the general consensus is that Dinosaur IS scary for pretty much everyone  Who goes to Disney World to have giant monsters with huge sharp teeth lunging at you out of the darkness?!?! (Just kidding Disney, please don't take it away from me ) I do actually enjoy it, but only now that I know what to expect! :thumbsup2

It also keeps out the weak guests who can't handle a little water. ::yes::

Yes, this!! It's great when it starts to rain, everyone piles out of the park, then it's back to blue skies and sunshine 20 minutes later :rotfl: not complaining! :umbrella:

This has happened to me before multiple times! It seems that when the humidity is so intense the fireworks that are shot off behind Fantasyland get lost in sky and turn the firework show into more of a glow show!

Makes sense! This was the first time I've ever seen it happen, we were pretty mindblown :goodvibes

So glad you had time to update -- been missing your adventures. I'm so excited for the Mitsukoshi store! My sister has a large moncchichi she got when my dad (with the family) was stationed in Japan when we were young and I still have all my various smelly pencils (including Little Twin Star) from that stay too. No store will suck my money out of my wallet as fast as that one and I think my budget rules will fly out the window.

Aww thanks, and I just updated again (finally) ! There are a lot of different Monchichis in Mitsukoshi! Seeing their little faces is so nostalgic, :goodvibes Well spending money at Disney is a much better idea than hoarding money at home in my opinion! Go crazy! :hyper:

It's a hotdog on a stick wrapped in corn bread
1zd7lhv.jpg

They actually sell Corndog nuggets at Casey's Corner :)

Oh, that makes sense, I sound dumb now  we don't really have corn bread here in the UK (unless I just live under a rock), probably why I didn't think of that. But I love the cornbread I've had at Disney. Definitely need to try these! Thanks for the tip :goodvibes

Hey! First of all, congratulations on your new job!! :cheer2: Haha, I'm still freaking out about the room too! I don't think we'll ever top that. Although I find a little bit of comfort knowing that we'll be able to pay our bills this year :rotfl: (just kidding we're not that irresponsible ) Oh you've tried Haggis before? I feel sorry for you! But yes, when you have a Scottish father you just HAVE to eat it, it's like the law. You have highland games where you live?! Cool!!! Please don't force little Haiden to eat any Haggis, the poor little love
Thank you. I am so glad I decided to change jobs. I have a future working for the University of Utah. I like that. You are to funny. I totally get it though, WDW is not cheap. I have tried Haggis and it isn't the worse thing I have ever had to eat. But believe me, it doesn't bring me joy. I did have it at a Burns Supper as well. LOL. No worries. I won't force him to eat it. Although, he will still have to eat his veggies. That is a must LOL. We have several Highland Games where I live. The biggest being in Lehi, Utah. All us Americans out their in our kilts with the on lookers wondering why we are wearing skirts. My wife doesn't get it but she still supports it. She loves me and stuff. :banana:I can't wait to read more of your trip. Keep it coming.

Day 2
Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Part 4 – CROTCH PARTY.

It was now 1:30pm, and we were heading to Tomorrowland for our final fastpass, and our final mountain of the day!

24254121711_efaa1235f7_b.jpg

We rode on the left track today, there were a lot of dips that left my stomach behind, which is always fun right after lunch.. :crazy2:

I released my inner vampire for the picture.

(“Your boy has a jawline for dayyyyys.”)
(…Comment if you know that reference!)

After Space Mountain we found a fastpass kiosk in Tomorrowland, and we grabbed passes for Buzz in 10 minutes time!

Jamie suggested we ride the PeopleMover again while we wait (isn’t he perfect).

24254118251_f1737dbaab_b.jpg

There aren’t many people in the world who would be excited to be stuck on a broken down ride.
But I am one of the few.
Our PeopleMover stopped right before Carousel of Progress, and I was LIVING.

It wasn’t for long though, and after a couple of minutes we were back on our second Tomorrowland tour of the day.

24254115581_bf29bc6e88_b.jpg

We disembarked and headed over to cut the line at Buzz!
Fastpass kiosks people.
They are the future.

This time we nailed it!!!!

24041027220_fc68401f2d_b.jpg

WE ARE GALACTIC HEROES.

24253886691_a965c20c12_b.jpg

We decided to head back to the resort, so we didn’t bother picking up our Galactic Hero buttons.

On the way to the hub we stopped for a couple of PhotoPass pictures!
(Disclaimer: Splash Mountain hair!!!)

Then we headed up Main Street and back to the hotel at around 2:30pm.
It was pretty busy today, but we were still really happy with our productive day!

We were just going crazy on the way back, I don’t know what came over us, maybe we were over-excited.
On the monorail Jamie was doing a series of impressions and just kept getting louder and louder, to the point where I had to grab his face and put my hand over his mouth

It was really obnoxious, but we were in such a good mood!
And my mood was only made better by coming home to this beautiful lobby :lovestruc

24041025030_1238bc9b72_b.jpg

We took a quick walk out to the marina to explore a little and get our bearings.

24336597725_8ab473c79f_b.jpg

Then we went back to Hawaii, grabbed some diet coke from the lounge and went back to our room.

Jamie was happy because the Arsenal – Spurs football (soccer!) match was starting, and he found a site to watch it online.
He connected his laptop up to the TV and we relaxed and watched the game.
Jamie is an Arsenal fan, and they won 2-1, so he was EVEN happier.

During the game I wanted to go sit on the balcony.
But wait, what is THAT…!?

24336593575_077ab5b052_b.jpg

Huh, I thought we’d paid for a theme park view room, not a crotch view room.
Ok, that's cool too I guess.

24228392092_7a3d648e33_b.jpg

I mean, I know Disney puts on a lot of shows, but I didn’t know we’d be getting our own… “private show”…

:rotfl:

The workmen weren’t around for long, thank goodness.
It was an awkward experience, to say the least!

Something cool I noticed from the bed I was sitting on was that you can see the Contemporary right through the window, and without moving, you can also see the Grand Floridian reflected in the mirror!

24254095891_9f1be49a1a_b.jpg

24041006870_b14dff5866_b.jpg

Pretty cool!

At one point, without saying a word or giving any reason, Jamie decided to do this…

23709771383_04612bdac6_b.jpg

And then this…

Seriously, what was this boy on today.
I think he may have caught heat stroke or something

At 5pm we went back to the lounge to see what kind of appetiser offerings they had out.

24310403606_527fb2b135_b.jpg

Before we went to the lounge we agreed that we wouldn’t actually get anything to eat, since we had a dinner reservation at 6:45pm.
So naturally, we got two plates each
HEY, at least our intentions were good.

Here are our first plates. The sausages wrapped in bacon were UNREAL.

24228367572_245fb72392_b.jpg

We sat right in the window and admired the amazing views!

24040983270_52d950930e_b.jpg

I took the opportunity to creep on the bungalow deck.
Those swing chairs hanging from the roof look DIVINE.

24336555995_db39482ef4_b.jpg

23709740993_e743e65d66_b.jpg

We got a second plate each and took them back to the room.
I had another pig-in-blanket, some pineapple and strawberry, pita bread and some caramel sauce.
I also tried some of the Polynesian’s signature POG juice (pineapple, orange and guava) and it was tasty!

24228347552_db70710744_b.jpg

We were very impressed with the fact that during the very short time we were at the lounge, mousekeeping had ran into our room and given us some turndown service!

We took our snacks onto the balcony (the crotch party had sadly moved on), and we enjoyed Dream Along With Mickey again!
They don’t pipe the music into the Poly, but the show is so loud at the Magic Kingdom you can hear it over the tiki music anyway!

24253893241_4ed1c5f577_b.jpg

We enjoyed taking some time to chill this afternoon.
We'd had about 4 hours total to relax and enjoy the room.
We spent the rest of the afternoon on the balcony, until our ADR at 6:45pm.
And we weren’t heading far…!

I KIDNEY YOU BEACH CLUB.
I usually spleen things when I am really passionate about it. Its a personal preference I suppose. The Kidney is pretty cool.
As I said last year, here’s one the best things about Epcot at night, and if you disagree, you’re wrong:
I won't disagree with you, it is pretty cool. Plus, I don't want to feel your wrath.
(Lol female drivers, amirite?! :thumbsup2)
Oh snap!!
When I’m a grown up I’m going to have a Christmas Tree filled with Disney decorations.
I am a grown up (60% of the time) and I do. Its the best Christmas tree ever!! My wife even got a tree stand that rotates the tree which is good because we have a lot of Disney ornaments. Our favorite are the mickey ear hats that are designed to look like different characters. I wish I had a picture. It is a sight to see!
He’s a great Disney companion, but he can’t quite keep up with me :thumbsup2
That is how I feel about everyone I have gone to Disney with... I love them and they try but I am a person who wants to get in as much park time as I can. Trish is pretty awesome and keeps up pretty well.

Late to the game, but I'm reading along! The rooms at the Poly look absolutely beautiful! I'll definitely have to stay there one day!

I've never heard of that "Life of Riley" phrase either....reminds me of a time when an older client (I'm a hairstylist) said I was a 'silver-tongued devil' and I had to Google it. Still not sure what to think about that one...

Sounds like this one was a delicious and fun day at Disney!

My guy can't keep up with me when it comes to Disney parks, either. I'm going to have to let him have some naptime on our next trip.

Hehe my Chris has the ghost host top! I wanted the female one but I was outraged at the price difference so I wouldn't buy it out of principle!

Oh the craziness of parks on a Saturday! A good pool day indeed! I can't get over your view from the room! Amazing! Wish the DVC Longhouses were not so obstructed by the Bungalows. But I still hope to have a small view to MK from our room at the end of this month! I requested the Tokelau Longhouse, that way it is not directly behind the Bungalows. Yachtsman Steakhouse looks sooo good! (I booked a belated Birthday dinner there for Dan on our August trip! He does not know yet, and I don't plan on telling him until we are actually there! Sneaky, sneaky! LOL). Love MK at night. Especially when it is late. Such a great opportunity to take it all in and snap some pictures here and there. Looks like you guys had such a great evening!

Hi there! Coming out of lurkdom here - I just read your whole DLRP Trip Report - it was great! You are a born storyteller! I have been very fortunate – WDW many times, DLR once , and on a trip to Paris last summer, a one day jaunt on the train to DLRP. It rained THE WHOLE DAY and was very cold - and it was July! I was very happy to be there, but was slightly underwhelmed - maybe due to the weather? It just didn't have that magical feeling I get at the other parks. BUT - then I went in the castle! The castle alone was worth the trip on a cold, rainy day! Absolutely gorgeous! I will also say, the rides were better than their American counterparts, I agree with you there! Do you feel less of the magic in DLRP?
Anyhow - enough thread hijacking - my apologies - off to read about your WDW trip!
