Day 5
Friday 18th September 2015
Part 1 - Goodbye Disneyland!

Last day!

Boooooooo!!!!

But I suppose that means…

ONLY FOUR MORE SLEEPS UNTIL WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!

So to be honest, the last day blues weren’t too bad today.

But I was still sad that my family trip was over. I haven’t had a family holiday in a while, and I’m SO glad we got to take this trip together :goodvibes

We got up early, but we had to finish packing up the room.

I took a picture to remember my favourite Snow White mirror in the bathroom!

23155648560_f02b1fb8b1_b.jpg

We were done packing by 9am, so we called bell services to come get our bags, and we went to get some breakfast.

I’m sure you all get the idea by now, but you know, “pics or it didn’t happen.”

So here’s what I ate.
(I’m a creature of habit.)

23425301216_406463f3e6_b.jpg

And here’s where we sat :lovestruc

23342974842_50ed12ea14_b.jpg

We were sat in the central restaurant area that divides the California Grill and Inventions. So we decided to check out the Inventions breakfast buffet (no characters in the mornings though).
It was all the same food, but the layout was double ended and much more efficient.

It was delicious as always.

After breakfast we went to the lobby to check out.

While we were there I finally got Bill and Mandy’s postcards sent off!
There's a grand-looking postbox in the lobby, which was handy.

23342974232_e1fe964691_c.jpg

Dad completed the check out, but we were only heading back to Arras in the north of France today, so we still had some time to play in the parks!

So we went to say goodbye to my beloved Disneyland park!

23425299096_5b4eebc032_b.jpg

We went to Buzz first of course!

23342939382_02df70fb86_b.jpg

We rode for what I thought was the last time, so afterwards I decided to tell everyone about the different shaped targets, and which shapes are worth more points.
Well, of course they wanted to ride again to try it out, and of course I got annihilated
I immediately regretted sharing my knowledge, WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN???
NEVER TELL ANYONE THE BUZZ SECRETS.
Half way through I just threw in the towel like an actual infant, and started to search for any secret hidden targets.

I did not find any.
I lost epically.

BUT I DON’T CARE.

tumblr_mvk7i68LTc1re1pe5o4_r2_250.gif

Then we went and rode Space Mountain.

23368935191_57ca674fd9_b.jpg

We walked through the line and it was completely empty.
There wasn’t a single person waiting.

We walked straight up to the loading gates, and this was the view of the line behind me.

22823094694_1b8c77e6ff_b.jpg

It was great because we got to ride in row 1!

When we got off we went to see our photo, and we were cracking up, because although we know where the camera is, and we were intentionally pulling faces, James and I had 100% NOT agreed to make the SAME face :rotfl2:

22824315843_0c9b6c1e20_b.jpg

What a hilarious coincidence.

We were making sure we got our favourite attractions done today, so I’m sure you can guess that we headed to Frontierland to ride Big Thunder Mountain next!

22824314903_361886fd4c_b.jpg

As I said in a previous update, (in case you missed it):

Something amazing that we experience EVERY TIME we visit Disneyland Paris, is that the line for Thunder Mountain is split by fencing into two separate queues that run alongside each other.

And, OMG, the herd mentality is SO real with this one.

SO. MANY. PEOPLE. All join one queue, leaving the other one completely empty.

It is hilarious.

I cannot tell you how many times over the years we’ve entered the empty line and walked past basically EVERYONE waiting in the 30+ minute queue and walked straight onto the ride.
(This is one of my number one tips for anyone visiting DLP…
KNOW THAT THERE ARE TWO LINES AT THUNDER MOUNTAIN!!!
AND JOIN THE SHORTER ONE!!!)

Well, for the second time, we waltzed straight past everyone who had gathered in one line, and pretty much walked straight onto the ride again :rotfl:

This is me walking through the empty line, past everyone glaring at us:

22824282923_216052e1bf_o.gif

After Big Thunder we headed back towards the castle.
UGH it’s so beautiful I can’t handle it.

23368931991_ed22d8c654_b.jpg

23155641880_2876158e31_c.jpg

We realised that we didn’t have any photos of all four of us!
(I guess I take the brilliance of Memory Maker for granted now!)
So we asked a nice man to get a picture of us in front of the castle :goodvibes

23342968382_a64b6f71cd_b.jpg

From here, we tried to go up the castle and out onto the balcony, but the whole upstairs was closed, I think because they were putting up the Halloween decorations!
So I guess I can’t be too mad.
This menacing-looking plant had appeared over night!

23342963572_ded3bc52fa_c.jpg

My reaction when I’m told I can’t go up my castle:

22824307963_20d0478e0d_b.jpg

Oh well.

We went to ride Snow White instead.

22824312343_fbf4aa41db_b.jpg

23451449295_95227412c4_b.jpg

(Not every Snow White animatronic in the ride is THIS weird, I swear.
But still, WHAT IS THIS?)

22823088734_83b92d1f64_b.jpg

Then we went next door to ride Pinocchio!
How adorable is Figaro in his little cat bed :lovestruc

22823088374_0ec3690fa0_b.jpg

After these two fairytale rides (which I definitely was not scared of.. Nope, not me), we wandered around to see something that I’ve overlooked for so many years!
In a corner of Fantasyland, right by the castle, there’s a little courtyard, with a seating area. I think it’s outdoor seating for a restaurant there.
It’s so easy to miss, but if you go into that tiny courtyard, you’ll find this beautiful carriage!

23083465899_8e12dbf25f_b.jpg

:lovestruc

There’s also a wishing well, and it’s so detailed with the birds and mice from Cinderella built into it, as well as Lucifer sneaking around the side!

23368926741_0128cce9a9_c.jpg

I’m so glad I got to show this to the fam.
I only discovered it a couple of years ago!

Sadly, our time in Disneyland park was up

So we reluctantly strolled up Main Street towards the exit.

BOO.

23425289006_1ea549c154_b.jpg

23342961592_deb1ab6cd3_b.jpg

23368923801_7b3ef8e47e_c.jpg

Well, I guess we don’t have to go home JUST yet…

To the Studios!!!!

Day 5
Friday 18th September 2015
Part 2 – C’est dans la boîte!

We got to the Studios at around midday, and stopped in Studio 1 for a drink at the Hep Cat.

Hot chocolate, of course.
:crazy2: :lovestruc

23368923301_a540bc2a77_c.jpg

As we left studio 1, I had another rare character sighting…
Rabbit, from Winnie the Pooh!

23342959672_e19fe62597_b.jpg

(As you can see, the lack of character attendants and orderly queues are a problem at DLP!)

I then turned around, and these guys had crept in beside me!

23425341446_8f7347723a_b.jpg

We went to get Tower of Terror fastpasses, but it was broken down again?!
WHY.
Ordinarily this would’ve made me really sad on our last day, but I knew I’d be riding it at Hollywood Studios soon, so it ain’t no thang :thumbsup2

Instead, we went to use our daily hotel fastpass at Ratatouille :goodvibes

Seriously, I cannot get enough.
It’s the most beautiful ride ever.

23368921891_65211f5b4a_b.jpg

I had to get a souvenir to remember how great this ride is, so I got this Ratatouille beanie hat, that looks like a rat!!!

(Actually, Dad bought it for me. He’s the best :lovestruc)

23451441715_e55f1187fb_c.jpg

It’s ridiculous and adorable.
Dad wanted to buy it for me, but he questioned whether I’d actually wear it.
Errrm… DUHH!
As soon as the weather turned, I sent him this:

23084283959_fe4f67d903_c.jpg

Anyway.

Hannah and James wanted to ride Rock n Roller Coaster, but Dad and I didn’t really feel like getting rattled around, so while they got in line, we went to the Tower of Terror gift shop.

22823077674_2d1b8b0c13_b.jpg

I took a liking to this t-shirt, because it reminds me of the actual Walt Disney Studios where they develop the movies and stuff.

23155629610_60e976f7b5_c.jpg

They only had kids sizes, but Dad got me one anyway, and luckily it fits :goodvibes
Plus it was cheaper than adult shirts!
(The Baymax t-shirt I was wearing today was also a cheap kids top from the Disney Store! – Confessions of a bargain hunter.)

We left the shop and headed around to the café opposite Rock n Roller Coaster to wait for Hannah and James.

23155627280_675d5d7308_b.jpg

23368916481_2b79974ab3_b.jpg

When they got back, we waved goodbye to the studios, and headed out to the Disney Village for some lunch.

23155625900_610fdca0a5_c.jpg

I like this arch, because when literally translated “C’est dans la boîte” means “It’s in the box”.
I just find that funny.
I always act out the scene from SE7EN as I'm leaving the park.

WhatsInTheBoxB-1428420074.gif

“QU'EST-CE QUE DANS LA BOÎTE??!!??!!”

The Village was playing Jolly Holiday, how appropriate. I was singing and skipping along.

Earl of Sandwich, YAY.

23451434965_d2b9b3f9b3_b.jpg

22823074934_595058ed39_b.jpg

Today I had a tuna melt, omg, it was so delicious.
Getting lunch at Earl of Sandwich is definitely worth taking time out of the parks.

We finished lunch at around 2:30pm, so it was time to head back and pack up the car!

Of course, we had a browse through the stores on the way back.

23342951032_2863030e4b_b.jpg

23342950062_d87ed38590_b.jpg

22823072204_2150e43aaf_b.jpg

23155620660_4b37aeba44_b.jpg

Sadness.

23155619710_6608ea708b_b.jpg

We got back to the hotel and let them know we were leaving, and we waited in the lobby while the valet brought our car around.

23451428495_20fe9cdd71_b.jpg

23342944742_95e58d9f1c_b.jpg

They say a watched pot never beeps, so I stared at the the door for a while……

23368906501_7defbb4867_b.jpg

NEVER RETURN THROUGH THOSE DOORS WITH OUR CAR KEYS PLEASE THANKS.

Sadly they turned up fairly quickly, and soon we were packing up the car.

22823066384_4ef06124a5_b.jpg

23368904601_385ae7be5b_b.jpg

Before we left, the bellhop who helped us with our bags gave James and I a Disney carrier bag and said there was “a gift” inside.
We were very grateful and excited, but when we opened it up, it was just a bottle of water :rotfl2:
Funny.

At 3:30pm we were on the road heading home

We had such a great time in Disneyland, I can’t wait to get back!

:wave2:

We stopped off in Arras for the night again.

23451423295_f9bbe28039_b.jpg

We hung out at the hotel for a while, then we went back to the same boat restaurant as before.

23155613080_520fa5346a_c.jpg

I had the “beef slab” with foie gras and chips! It was delish.

23155612530_bddbf89d2f_b.jpg

We were all exhausted, so sleep was gooooood tonight!!!
:faint:

---------------------------------------

The journey home the next day was fairly uneventful.
We drove to Calais, took the ferry, and I was back home for about 5pm.

Jamie was happy to see me, and was excited for our trip to Florida.
One of the first things he said to me was,
“I’ve lost 3lbs because you weren’t here to feed me!!!!”

:rotfl2:

I went to see my Mum for a bit, then Jamie and I got a burrito from our favourite little independent Mexican place.
(The servers there know me by name, my obsession is real.)

After we’d eaten I fell asleep for a while, but I woke up around 11pm and we decided to take a walk to the train station to pick up our tickets for Tuesday morning’s trip to the airport!!!!

C’est dans la boîte, Disneyland Paris!

Time to prepare for the next trip…

Walt Disney World......

THREE MORE SLEEPS!!!

Christmas Post, Part 1!

Thank you for reading my Disneyland Paris report!
For those of you who have found it interesting, I thought that since it’s now December (WHAT) I’d share some photos from a last Christmas trip!
The parks just look so amazing when they're decorated for Christmas.

This is a trip I took with three of my BFFs Penny, Emma and Charlotte.
We also spent a couple of evenings in the center of Paris, so there’s some nice Christmas photos of that too :goodvibes

Unfortunately, my camera charger decided to break, so only the first few photos are good quality… The rest are just from an old iPhone.
But I thought they were still worth sharing.

And also, here’s the silly video we put together! Again, just dumb iPhone clips, nothing fancy.
I hope you enjoy it!!!

(Feel free to skip all of this entirely, I just thought it might be fun.
Walt Disney World trip report is up next :goodvibes)

-----

We went straight into the park upon arrival!

We spent a couple of evenings in Paris, but we had to layer up!
It was SO cold!
Here’s me wearing a long-sleeved top, a sweater, a bigger sweater, and a coat.

23344072082_9cca3da19b_c.jpg

In case we forgot, I took a picture of where we exited our underground train stop, but I don’t think there was any danger of us getting lost…
We got off right in front of the Arc de Triomphe!

It wouldn’t be a girls trip to Paris without spending an hour in Sephora.
I bought two lipsticks and got a free nail polish, yay!
(There isn’t a single Sephora in the whole of the UK. What a travesty.)

I loved you DLP report! Seems like you had a brill time! I can't believe you were evacuated off Thunder Mountain! :upsidedow
I cannot wait to read you first WDW post! Especially since your at the Poly this time! :hyper:
I've just noticed the timestamp of your last post, what are you doing up at 3.30 in the morning?! I thought I was bad getting up at 5! :rotfl:

KETCHUP FOR EVERYTHING.

 Oh, you're one of those people are you? :lmao:

It's so realistic. My brother was terrified of it as a kid (and let's be serious, I probably was too) :scared1:

I didn't even think of that for kids! What an awesome parenting opportunity!
"See, honey? If you're a bad little girl, we'll throw you to the dragon. What do you think happened to your older brother? Oh, that's right. He was gone before you were born."

:rolleyes2

Possibly. Although I'd need all seven of those little beds for sure.

A thought occurs, but I shall refrain.

Something about hopping from bed to bed.... :rolleyes1

"The woman" aka my step-mum :rotfl:

Oh, shoot! I totally forgot you were there with them!
D'oh! I'm an idiot!

(This is nothing new to you, I'm sure.)

I disguise it well through looking innocent :thumbsup2 :littleangel:

Wait.

MUSTARD IS THE DEVIL :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

You and my youngest DD would get along just fine.

I'm not going to read your update now.
I've already noticed you have vids and I'm at work.
I'll wait 'til later when I'm home
(After DD's concert and class... hopefully.)

I AM SO BEHIND!!! :guilty:

Hello step-sister turned fiance! What a strange turn our relationship has taken :rotfl:

OURS IS A FORBIDDEN LOVE! Haters can just step right off :snooty:

Awww!!! I will get you one as a wedding present :thumbsup2

You're the best sisance (sister/fiance?) EVER :love2:

She's quickly becoming my favourite princess, purely because of how batsh*t crazy she is.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

BRB, moving to South Texas.

Please do! :hyper:

Oh Kermit. You melt my heart. He is just the cutest :lovestruc

tumblr_inline_nr1nqrYHVK1rd3ldm_540.png

He truly is!!! His faces are the best :rotfl:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. I hope you give someone a piece of your mind if you encounter this next year!

Oh I will, you can count on that!

(Hey, I’m a poet and I didn’t know that I was one.)

Oh, you :rotfl2:

t 10am we were full and ready to hit the parks, so we headed down to the lobby (where I had to snap these creepy puppets because they’re awesome.)

Those ARE creepy :eek::eek:

HIS monstrosity is the same though, this always terrified me as a kid.
Not any more though, I am an adult now.

:rotfl::rotfl:

It also contains some scary scenes that childhood Katie was terrified of.
Again, not adult Katie, no sir.

So brave :rotfl:

In keeping with the classic-Disney-movie-ride-through theme of this morning we rode Peter Pan again!
I love the loading area, it looks like the rooftops of London with smoking chimneys and everything. :lovestruc

Omg that is PERFECT

Unfortunately it started POURING rain while we were in line, so we had to prepare…

22638727673_85b7c75a8c_b.jpg

This is a fabulous photo!! :rotfl:

This might sound crazy, but I’ve wanted to be evacuated off a ride for ages
I had NEVER been evacuated before.
I just like the thought of having to walk backstage/behind the scenes.

Neither have I!! I think it would be so much fun! I might also have the same mental illness as you :rotfl2:

Best faces ever!! Hilarious! Obviously it runs in the family ;)

I decided to go back to my old career.
(I look at pretty Disney things for a living.)

If that were a career I'd be CEO by now! :thumbsup2

Ohhhh that is SO pretty :goodvibes:goodvibes

Dad bought me this awesome Tangled jewelry hanger!

I love it, here’s what it looks like all set up:

23421554676_34d65d1a35_c.jpg

I LOVE THAT!!!

Jamie thinks it’s creepy.

Well JAMIE wouldn't go on Monsters, Inc so his opinion IS NOT VALID SIR :snooty: Bye Felicia! :wave2:

I am literally drooling ::yes::

Dad and Hannah always hold on for dear life, so James and I challenged them to ride with their hands in the air…
This is the best they could do…

23457845955_39c6a50015_b.jpg

:rotfl2:

Hahahaha at least they tried!! :lmao:

Unfortunately the service was lacking a little today.
There were no eggs, bacon OR baked beans left.
There were loads of people waiting around. There was no sign of any servers for ages.
Do the CMs not understand how important bacon is?!??!?!?!

Ummm...this is NOT acceptable. Ron Swanson would not be pleased at all. :sad2:

I am very confused by this turn of events. Why do they need the segways? :confused3 They are superheroes!

Can never get enough of this little guy :lovestruc:lovestruc

NAILED IT!!!

The resemblance is uncanny :rotfl2:

We didn’t feel very secure with the lap-bar, and it took some pretty abrupt turns that we couldn’t anticipate, which made it a fun ride!

I LOVE YOUR VOICE! It's so adorable and British...just post videos of you talking all the time ok? :thumbsup2:rotfl:

I would not let this guy cut my hair.

Ed6o0EtPN7JLO.gif

That is a big NOPE!!

So cute!!!!

And of course, he was up to his usual mischief.

23324470361_75978fd55e_b.jpg

Your face :rotfl::rotfl:

Then he PLAITED IT, like a true professional!

23298577722_e403eda214_c.jpg

I told him he did such a beautiful job, and that I’d keep it in all night.

UGH we were like best friends, I couldn’t get enough of him! He gave me another huge hug before he left.

23407010885_350c8f25b3_b.jpg

Such adorable pictures! He is so cute! Those chipmunks are so mischievous ::yes::

Dad bought me this adorable shirt that I love.

23368888761_a50cf81a4a_c.jpg

That is awesome! I love that! Thanks dad indeed!

Last day!
Boooooooo!!!!

But I suppose that means…

ONLY FOUR MORE SLEEPS UNTIL WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!

:dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

hen we got off we went to see our photo, and we were cracking up, because although we know where the camera is, and we were intentionally pulling faces, James and I had 100% NOT agreed to make the SAME face :rotfl2:

22824315843_0c9b6c1e20_b.jpg

It must have been that sibling ESP :rotfl2:

This is me walking through the empty line, past everyone glaring at us:

22824282923_216052e1bf_o.gif

BAHAHAHA That is the best gif ever!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Such a lovely family!!

As soon as the weather turned, I sent him this:

23084283959_fe4f67d903_c.jpg

Adorable hat! Adorable girl! Adorable scarf! Adorable hair! You get the picture

I had the “beef slab” with foie gras and chips! It was delish.

23155612530_bddbf89d2f_b.jpg

Beef slab sounds most appetizing :scratchin

Jamie was happy to see me, and was excited for our trip to Florida.
One of the first things he said to me was,
“I’ve lost 3lbs because you weren’t here to feed me!!!!”

:rotfl2:

Men! So helpless :rotfl::rotfl:

We went straight into the park upon arrival!

23452596895_d7a6a61320_b.jpg

23156781870_5a450ac2ba_b.jpg

Wow, that is GORGEOUS!

They are the cutest couple ever! End of story ::yes::

The Champs-Élysées:

22824185554_5271409ab3_b.jpg

Stunning!! Makes me want to go to Paris so much!

(There isn’t a single Sephora in the whole of the UK. What a travesty.)

Unacceptable! There are 4 or 5 just in my town alone plus a few Ulta's. Just pop over here for some makeup

LOVE IT!! Someday I will see Paris :lovestruc

LOVE LOVE LOVED your DLP/Paris updates!!! So much fun to see a different side of Disney!!

But now it's time for WDW!! I am soooooooooooooo excited to read about yours and Jamie's trip!!!

That castle is just breathtaking. My goodness.
I see a Baymax shirt:D
It’s so easy to miss, but if you go into that tiny courtyard, you’ll find this beautiful carriage!

23083465899_8e12dbf25f_b.jpg
I love this - so pretty:lovestruc
There’s also a wishing well, and it’s so detailed with the birds and mice from Cinderella built into it, as well as Lucifer sneaking around the side!

23368926741_0128cce9a9_c.jpg
Kind of like the Snow White one id Disney World! I love how each Disney park has unique things like this - they all have the same amount of maic, but they all have aspects that make them special!
As we left studio 1, I had another rare character sighting…
Rabbit, from Winnie the Pooh!
YAY! I love when random characters are seen!
Instead, we went to use our daily hotel fastpass at Ratatouille :goodvibes

Seriously, I cannot get enough.
It’s the most beautiful ride ever.
:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
I need to get to DLP just for this ride..
I had to get a souvenir to remember how great this ride is, so I got this Ratatouille beanie hat, that looks like a rat!!!

(Actually, Dad bought it for me. He’s the best :lovestruc)

23451441715_e55f1187fb_c.jpg
That is too cute - and it looks so warm too!:goodvibes
I took a liking to this t-shirt, because it reminds me of the actual Walt Disney Studios where they develop the movies and stuff.

23155629610_60e976f7b5_c.jpg

They only had kids sizes, but Dad got me one anyway, and luckily it fits :goodvibes
Plus it was cheaper than adult shirts!
Oh my gosh I've done the same thing. 2 summers ago I was in Disney world and really wanted a Frozen shirt (during the biggest part of the craze) and they had adult shirts but they were so expensive! So I just got a bigger size in the kids shirt, and honestly it was prettier. The kids seem to have the funner shirts lol :rotfl:
Earl of Sandwich, YAY.
One of my favorites. I have to go there at least once during every trip to Disney World.
EOS seems to be coming a Disney staple for everyone! It's just that good.
I love the characters hanging from the wall - reminds me of WOD is WDW.
I love how the hotel has all of those characters in the lobby! I would just want to take multiple pictures of all of them!

I feel your pain about being sad leaving - but you were so lucky because you had another wonderful trip on the way! Your last day in DLP sounded fun, it seems as if you got some good park time in.

had the “beef slab” with foie gras and chips! It was delish.

23155612530_bddbf89d2f_b.jpg
Looks like a delicious way to end a trip!
And also, here’s the silly video we put together! Again, just dumb iPhone clips, nothing fancy.
I hope you enjoy it!!!
That video was toocute. You and your friends are adorable. I love all girls trips, reminds me of myself and my friends in Disney...
The Christmas edition of the firework show: Disney Christmas Dreams!

22825453573_e12f0780ae_c.jpg
Beautiful. It kind of looks like a candy cane!
It wouldn’t be a girls trip to Paris without spending an hour in Sephora.
I bought two lipsticks and got a free nail polish, yay!
(There isn’t a single Sephora in the whole of the UK. What a travesty.)
Oh my gosh there are TOO many Sephoras in NY! :laughing:Glad you are able to shop in them when in Paris!

Katie, I loved your updates on DLP. It looks so beautiful and I definitely plan on going there one day. Thanks for sharing the magic of another Disney park!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I am SOOO excited to read about your adventures in WDW now! :jumping1:

Holy cow. So. Many. UPDATES I MISSED!!!

California Grill number 1 of 2 for 2015!

Dang all in the span of a few weeks! :hyper:

Um yeah, i'll take that view.

Okay what is up with the beans?! :confused3 Usually we have baked beans with like BBQ, but for breakfast?? I guess I can't knock it till I try it.

Our big breakfasts were still settling, so of course, we headed over to Space Mountain.
:confused3

:rotfl:

How adorable!

Oh my gosh, I love ALL of these photos! And the little river by the Tea Cups makes the ride look so romantic and non-threatening :rotfl:

(Not even with character attendants, they legit looked like tourists wandering through Fantasyland )

So so dangerous.

(The key to learning French is to just read backwards :thumbsup2)

Ooh thanks for the tip!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: I literally could NOT stop laughing when I saw Aladdin's pic and you're so right it does look like the Nicholas Cage Meme!!! :lmao:

Anyway, we were thrilled to see that our not-so-secret (seriously-guys-it’s-right-next-to-you) line was completely empty today!
So we walked right on!!

This is when I don't mind dumb people ::yes::

WELL, THIS VIDEO FOOTAGE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

Oh heck! Aside from the loops, the rickety-ness reminds me of the Matterhorn at Disneyland so much.

This ride is based on the E.A.C. scene from Finding Nemo, and has a spinning vehicle, kinda like Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom.
However it’s in the dark.
And super fun.

AGHHHH! This sounds adorable.

:rotfl::rotfl2:

A not-so-fun-but-Katie-thinks-it’s-fun fact about Disneyland Paris is that the Partners statue is not in front of the castle. Instead, it’s here at the entrance to the studios park!

That is very odd isn't it?

I definitely made some kind of noise and everybody probably thought I was a total weirdo who was scared of the video.
He left and I continued to watch the video, then towards the end he came back behind me and leaned forward to whisper in my ear,
“it’s waiting for you…”
Which ALSO made me jump out of my skin!!!!

:lmao: This is too perfect.

So the CMs had to turn off the ride’s audio to make an announcement for them to stop, but then the audio never came back on again.
Bleh.
Oh well.

Geez people...they must have been Americans :upsidedow

No WAY! How freakin' cute is this! But yeah, definitely without the hat.

:faint: I need to come here ASAP! This is one of my favorite Pixar movies, in fact I just watched it a few nights ago!

I was cooing over every little thing, and at one point I exclaimed,
“It’s so FRENCH.”
To which James responded,
“Yeah.. It’s almost as if we’re in France!”

:rotfl2:

Yes! Love the themeing.

In the picture below, notice that you’re still rat sized! So the chairs are made from Champagne lids! The ceiling is covered in leaves and fairy lights, and there are cocktail umbrellas with additional lighting!
Plus SO much more that you can’t see in this shot! It looks awesome.
Hopefully I’ll get to eat there next time.

:faint: OMGOSH! How adorable!

It’s pretty similar to DHS’s, but you get straight on the tram, so cut out that whole water tank scene and the prop room at the beginning.

I'm fine with that :thumbsup2

What the?!

Wow it is super pretty at night! Way better than WDW and DLR!

:lmao:

It also contains some scary scenes that childhood Katie was terrified of.

Is there anything you weren't scared of as a kid?! :rotfl:

BE EVACUATED OFF A RIDE.

I was NOT expecting this! But you're right, being able to walk through areas like that is so neat.

Super, super creepy.

His face though! :rotfl2: He does make the best faces!

Because it wouldn’t be a Disney trip if you don’t get bubbled at least once.

::yes::

We got to watch the original preshow video that’s in English this time :thumbsup2
But while watching the video, the SAME Cast Member who scared me last time, scared me AGAIN!!!
Just like last time, he came up behind me, and whispered in my ear,
“It’s waiting for you…”

This is too great! :rotfl2:

OT - I ordered some MAC makeup for my SIL two nights ago online from Nordstrom and I was given the option to choose a few free samples, one of them being 'Jo Malone' perfume but I had never heard of it! Does is smell delicious?? I have to place another order here soon so perhaps i'll get that sample next time around.

Soon we went back to Planet Hollywood, for the second night in a row

:lmao:

It actually turned out that before he moved here, he lived literally down the road from us in our home-town!!!!
Absolutely craziness.

WHat the heck, how crazy and cool!

Okay, yes that does look divine.

They tried :rotfl2:

:lmao: Perfect gif!

OH yum, I just love this place. Hoping to get one in a few days at Disneyland :hyper:

Cute!

This is so stinkin' adorable, even if it is slow!

Unlike the Disneyland (California) Canal Boats, there’s no CM guide to talk you through everyhing. In DLP, it’s just a nice quiet, relaxing boat ride :goodvibes

Yes, I would not mind that!

“Ooooh isn’t this a hot mess, who would name their first born Blue Ivyyyy?!”

:lmao:I knew EXACTLY where this was from! I love that video!

Again...best faces ever!

Such a cute shot.:lovestruc

Loving the action shots you're getting, who's taking them?

The thought of breaking James’ phone almost gave him a heart attack, he “apologised” and fussed over James, then he had to take a moment to lean on a nearby pillar and mop his brow while he composed himself!!

This whole situation is HILARIOUS! And Mickey's reaction is the best!:rotfl2:

Then he PLAITED IT, like a true professional!

What does this mean...sorry :blush::blush:

(although – keep your children at your table???)

:confused3

E95 for the shorts!!!!
E119 for the sweater!!!

I had to look up the conversions...HOLY MONKEY! :faint::scared1: I knew Paris was expensive, but then throw Disney prices on top of that and that's what you get! Good grief!

:rotfl2::rotfl: #twining!

::yes::

What a lovely family photo.

Hot chocolate, of course.
:crazy2: :lovestruc

:rotfl2: Now i'm dying to try this! Is it just waaaay to chocolately which makes it gross??

I NEED!!!!!

Jamie was happy to see me, and was excited for our trip to Florida.
One of the first things he said to me was,
“I’ve lost 3lbs because you weren’t here to feed me!!!!”

Gah, men.:rolleyes1

And also, here’s the silly video we put together! Again, just dumb iPhone clips, nothing fancy.
I hope you enjoy it!!!

You did a great job with the video, so cute!

Jack in his Santa attire?! :faint: I feel like i've fainted my way across all of DLP!

Uhhh, is it always that busy?!

(There isn’t a single Sephora in the whole of the UK. What a travesty.)

That's crazy, cause they're like Starbucks stores here..one everywhere!

This is literally my dream. In High School my room was adorned with Eiffel Towers everywhere (Still have some in places of our house now ::yes::) but I flipped when I realized we had the same Birthday - March 31st. I knew it was meant to be, so I'll get there one day!

“This is Scrump. I made her. But her head is too big, so I pretended that a bug laid eggs in her ear.”

22824140334_e58f30f9c9_c.jpg

STOP STOP STOP! THIS IS REALLY A THING?!?! Ugh, so many things I want and need!!!!

Oooh, oohh! I know this one! Pick me, pick me!

...It means braided ::yes::

...Also, I am going to feel stupid if that's not right :rotfl:

Ah I was thinking either Straightened or Braided, but was leaning more towards Straightened!

:rotfl:I'm sure you're right, cause how can you be wrong!?! ::yes::

Loving your report updates as usual!! Can't wait to read the rest!! Your holiday trip with BFF's looks amazing too!! I guess maybe DLP would be good in the winter despite the cold...because crowds looked pretty light!!

Since we had an important dinner reservation tomorrow night, this was the last time we’d be seeing Dreams! That also means this is my last opportunity to pressurise YOU into watching these videos!!!! :thumbsup2 If you haven’t already watched them…WATCH THEM!
This is why I like your TRs... the humor is my kind of humor!!
But some actually had parents nearby encouraging the kid to keep prodding Mickey until he gives you attention. It is truly bizarre. I don’t know why you would interrupt someone else’s character time like that?
Oh parents, when did manners become such an obsolete thing?
The characters are great about it though, they ignore the kid for a couple of minutes, but if they’re persistent they’ll turn around and give the child the finger. No, not that finger. The index finger, to gesture at the child to “wait one minute” :thumbsup2
LOL!!! Classic! Again with the humor.

So you're telling me those Lady and the Tramp pajama shorts were like $100 USD? :scared: Nutso.

And as much as you bought that hot chocolate, I'm pretty sure that means you like it. I won't tell anyone your secret, haha. :ssst:

Your Christmas trip looks like so much fun!

Can't wait to hear about your WDW adventures!

Ah man, all of your updates are totally making me wish that I was in Disneyland Paris RIGHT NOW!! :mickeyjum It looks like such an amazing park! I loved seeing all of the similarities and differences from WDW. Thanks so much for sharing.

Now on to your WDW trip, Yay! Can't wait to hear all about it!

LOVED your DLP trip report and thanks for including the Christmas photos! It doesn't look as crazy busy there as it gets during the holidays at WDW. I think the hotel you stayed at looks really nice - kind of like the Wilderness Lodge while the one you stayed at in Sept. looks like the Grand Floridian. Hmm... I'm planning my dream trip here... thanks for the inspiration! Can't wait to read about your WDW trip!!
