Everything You Do, CELEBRATE YOU! - Polynesian - Club Level - TPV

Day 2
Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Part 1 – Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

So you know I said I set my alarm for 7am?
Well, that must have been programmed to be specifically 7am UK time… and my alarm thought it was appropriate to start mooing like a cow at 2am.

After a super long day yesterday I was in a really deep sleep, so I was not impressed.

tumblr_lzrw1kfi911r4alnuo1_500.gif

But then I remembered I’m in Disney, and all was right in the world.

I woke up again naturally at 6:10am!
I got ready and went out on the balcony to see the sunrise over the Contemporary :lovestruc

(Phone picture, unfortunately.)

23708777914_fca8a937cd_b.jpg

I finished getting ready and I woke Jamie up at 7:30am.

It was a beautiful morning at the Polynesian!

23710149593_2e1733bb29_b.jpg

24336961875_d16a5519f3_b.jpg

Today we were heading to the Magic Kingdom!!!
Of course!!!

It was looking a little cloudy over there.
But who’s complaining?
NOT ME.

23969169529_de6ffc03cf_b.jpg

I am as happy as a clam.
Whatever that means.

23969163329_89db741610_c.jpg

(Side note: Me being me, I got hair product all over the shoulder of this white top which left a big mark, so I changed it before leaving the room – in case anyone notices that I’m in a different top in the park )

We headed to the lounge at 8am for breakfast!

23708744294_f3143e4506_b.jpg

The lounge has some great breakfast options, there was cereal, hot oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels, mini muffins, croissants, cinnamon rolls, etc etc.

You can help yourself to as much as you want, and it’s all built into the price of the room! :lovestruc

24336932695_99c004e8f1_b.jpg

23710109533_b30d1400f8_b.jpg

Jamie had some cereal and I had a bagel with Philadelphia.
We enjoyed it!

24336918685_f557d1ba55_b.jpg

Here’s the view from our table in the lounge!

24041333420_3fdfdbe447_b.jpg

After breakfast we ran back to the room to pack some sunscreen, then headed to the MONORAIL.

On the walk over to the Great Ceremonial House there was a very smart family passing.
The little boy (probably 4 or 5 years old) was wearing a little white shirt and bowtie, and as we passed them he looked up at us and went,
“HIIII!!!!”
My heart melted completely! He was SO cute and polite.
I considered this our first magical moment of the day.

We arrived at the monorail platform at 8:20am.

24336909295_3296a15257_b.jpg

OMG it was taking ages!!!
And by ages I mean, like 15 minutes, but I was getting angsty because I really wanted to catch the welcome show, which can start as early as around 8:40am.

Our monorail finally arrived and we were on the move at 8:35am.
HURRRRYYYYY.
With the stop at the Grand Floridian I was sure we’d miss the start.
But to my delight it had waited for me!!!!
Second magical moment.

23708705174_f0ab958f33_b.jpg

We passed through bag check and the show started right away!

But DEAR LORD, it was crazy busy.
Like, as soon as we got through the tapstiles there was just a wall of people.
I would bet they had to stop letting people in during the show, because there was literally nowhere to go.
Here's what it looked like...

We squeezed through, but the only spot we could find was…

BEHIND A GIANT TRAIN-STATION-SHAPED TREE.

23710080233_6297c12299_b.jpg

Best-Cry-Ever.gif

It was actually quite funny.
And the actual show was visible so it’s fine.
I was just glad we arrived in time!

24336886835_46436f52e0_b.jpg

24041300570_4706d8d920_b.jpg

OBSESSED WITH THIS.

This is one of my favourite things at Disney, especially on the first day of the trip, so I’m really glad it all worked out.

Since I love it so much, here’s a little video.

The show ended at about 8:50am and we were released into the park!
We’re home!!!!
WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME.

Gahh I can’t believe it had been over a year since I’d seen this glorious castle!

24310704506_3a46faf3f2_b.jpg

24228669552_6136991b1b_b.jpg

This was our first time seeing the new grass areas in the hub, so I was excited about that!
I really like what they’ve done to the hub, I think it was worth the construction.
Although Jamie asked the mystery question...
What used to be there?
...
:confused3

24336872025_afa89e6a10_b.jpg

We usually start our first day going straight over to Splash Mountain, i.e. my favourite thing in the world ever.
But I was feeling generous, so I let Jamie choose our first destination.
If you read my last trip report you will know exactly where he chose!

24336868405_841f52a247_b.jpg

23708672424_1400c840bc_b.jpg

Hey Buzz buddy!!!!
Long time no see!!!

Buzz: I AM SICK OF THE SIGHT OF THESE PEOPLE.

23710048473_65ab15f810_b.jpg

24358867275_df7a495491_o.jpg

* Eye twitch *

Jamie is super competitive, and last year we were always competing to max out our score (999,999).
He was pretty horrified by our scores as we left the FIRST room..!!

24228654052_188181aba5_b.jpg

:cheer2:

(The contrast in our concentration faces is quite amusing. Jamie is always quite animated, whereas I’m always really gormless )

24254357991_e3d934dcb4_b.jpg

We didn’t come close to 999,999, but this wasn’t bad for our first game of the trip!!

24041273330_7cd1262ddf_b.jpg

I tried to project this encouragement onto Jamie, but he was too busy giving me his usual response to losing…

24228646642_b8d3c2cb60_b.jpg

Jamie’s competitiveness doesn’t stop at the ride itself.
In the photo/gift shop area after the ride, I always like to get a photo in the cage with Zurg.
Jamie has never been able to fit through the bars, but because he’s THAT competitive, he HAS to try.

Well this year...

THIS HAPPENED.

party:

Yay!
He was very happy.
What a great accomplishment for a 25 year old man

When I was taking his picture, a nice couple offered to take one of both of us.

24228643152_78877cb49f_b.jpg

We returned the favour (they both squeezed into the cage too!), then decided to ride one more time!
Jamie was adamant that I'd had “the good seat”, and he was sure he would beat me if he sat on the left this time…

23708648914_ed09f5ecc2_b.jpg

Ding dang!!!!
He did great!
Here’s another gormless ride photo, just for laughs.

23969053069_0505bff565_b.jpg

Jamie wasn’t taking any risks of having his title taken away from him, so we left Buzz and headed back out into the park!

Click for Day 2, Part 2!

So the new beard has to go?

Anything that makes the mustache-comb-over possible, I fully support.

I was expecting Lou to answer that.
But I see she's not the only one around here who's a naughty girl.

SHE'S A BAD INFLUENCE.

Thank you for this comment.
It was a wonderful example of brevity and succinctness. A model for all future comments.

:rotfl2: look at it now smart-***!

And thanks for splitting up my updates. o_O

 Just kidding

Day 2
Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Part 2 – Dr Albert Falls.

We left Buzz at 9:10am and wandered aimlessly into the park.
We found ourselves in New Fantasyland and decided to go ride Journey Of The Little Mermaid!

I cannot get over how much I love the theming of this ride.
But the following picture always weirds me out.
I bet King Triton wishes he’d had the “what are your intentions with my daughter?” conversation with Eric.

24254338861_3150aaf2bf_b.jpg

WHY.
Why is she stapled onto the front of that boat?!
(Please don’t try to tell me it’s just a figurehead. It’s clearly taxidermy.)
Eric, you sicko.

In we go!

23969045839_9a6cc73906_b.jpg

The line was totally empty, but we still stopped to see the cute little blue crab that runs around.

24336825825_d147bbb4c3_b.jpg

24041242780_741defb46a_c.jpg

Meeeep let’s go.

I love this next clip, because (if you have good night vision) right at the end you can see Jamie copying Ariel’s dancing... :rotfl:

24254320241_311da3ee7a_b.jpg

I think the animatronics are amazing in this ride, especially Eric and Ariel in the lagoon scene.

24336815915_d71fc205d5_b.jpg

And here’s one for the ladies.

24228609552_08fd685133_b.jpg

But our favourite animatronics are the very last ones in the wedding scene.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words...
And we like to believe that Ariel has just realised she's marrying a pot-head.

24228606602_e0c94dd23f_b.jpg

Her expression is full of realisation and regret.

gob-bluth.jpg

Zooming in on animatronics is one of my new favourite things.
It really allows you to explore their stories in greater depth. LOL.

We exited the ride and I showed Jamie the hidden Steamboat Willie in the rocks!
It took him a while to be able to see it, but when he did it blew his mind!!!

23709994363_82d78f90db_b.jpg

It’s pretty hard to see, and you need to be stood in a very specific place for it to work because it’s comprised of several rocks in the foreground and background.
If you’re having trouble with it, try to make out his foot first, which is at the bottom left of the nearest rock, and follow it up from there.
OR, you could just CLICK HERE to see a good diagram from WDW Help.

This is Imagineering at its finest!
If you want to find it, it’s right by the exit to the ride, here.

24228597202_0bfe184fe1_b.jpg

We continued on to our next destination, but first we stopped at the Tangled area to find some hidden Pascals.

23708603434_ea2fe4cdf0_b.jpg

24228588462_0f81a23f3d_b.jpg

23709973463_673bd3e63d_b.jpg

24228578072_49e8be0829_c.jpg

Then we continued on to the Haunted Mansion!

24041199250_8c0abcb9d8_b.jpg

Today I finally saw the ring that’s in the concrete during the queue!
I’ve always kept an eye out for it, but the line has always been moving too fast to really look for it.
But this time, I saw someone ahead of us point to the ground and I JUST KNEW.
THAT WAS IT.

WOOHOO.

23708580684_8cfca87ebd_b.jpg

We had fun on the Haunted Mansion, I like singing Grim Grinning Ghosts, and I pointed out what the Easter egg from Hercules relates to (I had tried to explain it to him a few months ago when it was on TV) and he thought that was cool.

It's really dark, but here’s a clip of a ghost stretching our heads!!!!

Today I decided that this ride is far too scary for little kids.
Am I alone in this?!
Jamie said he thinks I scare too easily.
I don’t know what he means, I was only 20 when I built up the courage to re-ride it

Next up, we headed to Adventureland!
Jamie was really keen to ride the world famous…

24336768685_4890611be2_b.jpg

YAY.

The line was 30 minutes! But we managed to have fun with it. There are fun props, and a funny radio station that plays jungletastic music.

Also, does this count as a hidden Mickey..?!

24041185760_e2a6a958ba_b.jpg

Almost there…

24336762565_d034a0f58b_b.jpg

I want this chalkboard in my kitchen!

24041177780_343a3d43c5_b.jpg

The line moved fast, and soon we were boarding our boat and heading into the jungle!

23708560774_cd633224ec_b.jpg

24041170580_c2ef943b3b_b.jpg

Our skipper funny and enthusiastic.
And we had a decent crowd who all participated too, which was great!
(Last year we were the only ones laughing at the jokes, it was weird.)

This time my favourite joke was,

“This is Schweitzer Falls, named after the famous explorer, Dr Albert Falls.”

We left the Jungle Cruise at 10:40am, and headed to our first fastpass of the day.

24041165850_1f1a3bd3d3_b.jpg

Big Thunder Mountain!
I was happy because my family and I had had so much fun with this ride in Disneyland Paris the previous week.

Wait, did I lose a bag at the airport, and it ended up here at Big Thunder…?

23708550304_d02cb02eb5_b.jpg

TEA.

That definitely belongs to me.

tumblr_inline_o4d3nmMmuF1qhqtgh_500.gif

24228534352_dd72b1615e_b.jpg

Thunder Mountain was fun, but was made ever funnier by the old couple sat behind us.
The man was wailing like a cartoon character the ENTIRE ride, and the woman way swearing like a sailor!!
We were cracking up at them.

We exited Big Thunder at 11am.
We’d had such a productive morning, considering it wasn’t necessarily quiet!!
We’d been in the park just over 2 hours, and we’d managed to do Buzz x2, The Little Mermaid, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder!
And we still had plenty more Magic Kingdom fun ahead of us :goodvibes

Day 2
Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Part 3 – A culinary cabaret!

After Thunder Mountain we moseyed into the hub whilst we decided what to do next.
We went to see the new grass area, and it was totally empty!
It felt like our own VIP area. princess:

24228531132_482a451e90_b.jpg

23968940239_fb84d0df8f_b.jpg

Soon the new Move It, Shake it, DANCE AND PLAY IT street party came along.
This was my first time seeing it.
...
UGH.
To me, the song just isn’t catchy at all and the whole thing is just meh.
This is pretty much how I feel about it.

23708529454_d421a0c73b_b.jpg

BRING BACK MOVE IT SHAKE IT CELEBRATE IT.
I guess they kept the Shake Your Tail Feathers/Twist and Shout part, so that’s something.

Then I noticed a very rare Disney sighting.
There was nobody by the Partners statue!
I had to get a picture because I don’t think this has ever happened before in the history of everything.

24041133700_a3c8c17945_b.jpg

We checked the wait times on the My Disney Experience app and things were getting pretty busy.
We saw that the Mad Tea Party had a 5-minute line so we decided to go there.
However we were totally blocked in the hub by the street party!
I’m not kidding, we had to join the back of this conga line just to make our escape!

23709895813_7308806cb7_b.jpg

We cut around the right of the castle and got in line for the tea party, and the Philharmonic came out while we waited!

23968918339_2966af704a_b.jpg

Jamie span us super fast, and at one point he abruptly changed our direction, UGH I did not appreciate that at all!
Blehhh.

Then we went to the PeopleMover, for obvious reasons.
It was about 11:40am so it was starting to get really warm out, so the PeopleMover was perfection.

24310528826_9f8c4cb8b0_b.jpg

23968911069_5afda31fb8_b.jpg

The perspective makes Jamie look like he has a ginormous hand, and now it’s all I see when I look at this photo.

23968905399_738a1aa170_b.jpg

I was slightly, unintentionally Disneybounding as the PeopleMover today :thumbsup2

24041104730_d330655fd6_b.jpg

After our grand circle tour of Tomorrowland we walked back to the hub, and Dream Along With Mickey way on!!!
(But seriously, when is this show NOT on?!)

I was happy we caught it by chance on our first day!
There’s magic around every corner, people!

24310512186_124dfef2a4_c.jpg

24041097350_e74509b3a4_b.jpg

23968888699_630ca15446_b.jpg

We all have that one friend who gets too wasted and ruins all the photos.

24310499186_b64e79bc1a_b.jpg

Go home Goofy you’re drunk!

As the show was ending we discussed our favourite part.
I said mine was the first song that sadly we missed today, the one that goes “join the party, a castle party, you’re all invited, to come and join the fun!”
I asked Jamie and he said his favourite part was when the dancers twirled around.
This may sound innocent, but if you’ve seen the show, you might know that it’s not…
Let’s just say the dresses/skirts are very… floaty. :sad2:

After the show, it was time to head to our next fastpass at my favourite!
Oh boy. I can’t even tell you how excited I was.
If you know me at all you know where we’re going…

24228461642_b5c0327d5c_c.jpg

FIRST RIDE ON SPLASH MOUNTAIN OF THE YEAR!!!

:cool1:

My favourite thing EVER.
Not even my favourite ride.
My actual favourite THING ever.

Some more magic came our way and we were seated in the front, yay :goodvibes

“Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah ride!”

23708469194_5d32b0ab6e_b.jpg

(As this video starts you can hear that Jamie is singing "show me your bone", because that's what he likes to believe the lyrics are.)

24310166066_666c715d32_c.jpg

Splash was perfection, and we got completely soaked!
Even on the small drops!
The water level seemed really high throughout the whole trip.
But we had a great time.

With water all over my face and my hair starting to frizz, we went to our lunch reservation at Be Our Guest!
What a perfect day this is turning out to be!

24228454472_ee9a94a5e0_b.jpg

23709840693_b347a6c33c_b.jpg

23708459154_f567675803_b.jpg

I was so stoked because the Itinerary Planners at the Poly didn’t manage to get this reservation for me, but I randomly checked the reservations website one day and found a prime opening at 12:45pm!
We even had two other reservations here later in the trip, but I absolutely LOVE getting lunch here on the first day so I was thrilled to land this coveted ADR!

We ate in the ballroom, as usual.
It just takes my breath away. :lovestruc

23968860039_e20cc06166_c.jpg

We both had the turkey sandwich, we are obsessed with it.
I really don’t think we will ever try anything different.
It's so delicious!

24254147521_9b6886879c_c.jpg

We ordered one with fries and one with green beans and split the sides.

23968852589_289bc60ff9_b.jpg

It was all so so tasty, this sandwich never disappoints!

We often daydream about recreating it at home but we haven’t a clue what makes it so special. Maybe garlic butter or something. I don’t know, I’m probably way off, but if anyone knows what goes into it PLEASEEEE let me know :goodvibes

For dessert we split a Master’s cupcake, which was greatness.
It’s not too stodgy, and the grey stuff really is delicious!
No need to ask the dishes, friendships are built on trust.

24254140501_27d5305e25_c.jpg

After our fantastic lunch we took some time to relax and I took some photos of the restaurant.

I have a book called The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World by Susan Veness, which says that the cherubs on the ceiling of Be Our Guest restaurant are in fact the faces of the Imagineers and their children as infants.

Pretty cool!

23968848289_3acfb8435f_b.jpg

23709814543_f1c53cefab_b.jpg

23968840219_4ecd96d54b_b.jpg

Soon it was time to head to our last fastpass of the day, so we said goodbye to Be Our Guest and headed to Tomorrowland!

BWAH HA HA HA!! I haven't even finished reading this update but I have to thank you for always making your trip reports so entertaining! I love reading along! :) Now, back to read the rest... oh, and the club level breakfast and the room they have it in at the Poly look awesome!!

(Phone picture, unfortunately.)

23708777914_fca8a937cd_b.jpg

Phone picture or not, it's fantastic! Did you have a new camera you were shooting with?

Here’s the view from our table in the lounge!

24041333420_3fdfdbe447_b.jpg

Lovely!

I am obsessed with this photo! I am going to try to recreate this. Beautiful!

I don't know. My kids aren't scared by the spookiness of the Haunted Mansion as much as the sudden drops of Splash Mountain. I can't get them to ride SM but they have no problem with HM.

I want this chalkboard in my kitchen!

24041177780_343a3d43c5_b.jpg

I'm sure you can make that happen. :thumbsup2

:lmao:

So smart. I love doing that. With the four of us we can try everything. :thumbsup2

Fantastic updates as always, Katie. I really enjoyed watching your videos. You have such a talent for it.

So you know I said I set my alarm for 7am?

Well, that must have been programmed to be specifically 7am UK time… and my alarm thought it was appropriate to start mooing like a cow at 2am.

I shouldn’t laugh but

Again with that beautiful view from the balcony!!!! :faint::faint::faint: I love those sunrise pictures!

Good morning, gooood mornnnnning! Gah- I love that song! It's just so catchy, I'll probably be singing it to myself while I read the rest of your updates.

I've never heard of that Steamboat Willie before- really interesting tidbit!

Yum- your lunch looks delicious!

I love those statues too!! I didn't spot much merchandise of them at DLP, although I saw these adorable mugs at WDW!

a1a24c2345ea43c5a4dc293c32b03422.jpg

Sadly when I was in WDW over Christmas they no longer had these mugs.

I love that in this picture you and Jamie are so happy and everyone else looks rather petrified.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm here now! I'm loving this trip report and am totally jealous yall got to stay club level at the Poly!

I've decided to break up my comments.
Just too much to remember otherwise!

Feel free to post snide and cutting remarks in between my posts.

So you know I said I set my alarm for 7am?
Well, that must have been programmed to be specifically 7am UK time… and my alarm thought it was appropriate to start mooing like a cow at 2am.

You know, of course, what really stands out here.

You have an alarm that sounds like a mooing cow???

After a super long day yesterday I was in a really deep sleep, so I was not impressed.

But then I remembered I’m in Disney, and all was right in the world.

Being at Disney fixes a lot of things.

A lot.

I got ready and went out on the balcony to see the sunrise over the Contemporary :lovestruc

(Phone picture, unfortunately.)

Beautiful.

I finished getting ready and I woke Jamie up at 7:30am.

You say that like it's no big thing.
But I know.

You jumped on his bed and jumped up and down all around him (possibly, on him as well) all the while screaming "GET UP!! GET UP!! GET UP!!"

It was looking a little cloudy over there.

How Katie forecasts the weather.
Can see castle = nice day.
Can't see castle = fog.
Can't see castle and face wet = rain... or fog and last day and crying.
Can see bottom of castle but not top = cloudy.
Can see castle and is living in it = dreaming.

I am as happy as a clam.
Whatever that means.

Dunno. But I'm happy when I have clam chowder, so...

The lounge has some great breakfast options, there was cereal, hot oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels, mini muffins, croissants, cinnamon rolls, etc etc.

Nice...

You can help yourself to as much as you want, and it’s all built into the price of the room! :lovestruc

...but that's nicer.

After breakfast we ran back to the room to pack some sunscreen, then headed to the MONORAIL.

How stoked were you that you could just run down the hall and hop on a monorail?

The little boy (probably 4 or 5 years old) was wearing a little white shirt and bowtie, and as we passed them he looked up at us and went,
“HIIII!!!!”
My heart melted completely! He was SO cute and polite.

Awww... Betcha he was a happy little guy.

OMG it was taking ages!!!
And by ages I mean, like 15 minutes,

Really? My experience is usually 1 minute or less.
Although once I did have to wait 5 minutes.

:rolleyes1

Our monorail finally arrived and we were on the move at 8:35am.
HURRRRYYYYY.

With the stop at the Grand Floridian I was sure we’d miss the start.
But to my delight it had waited for me!!!!

Well of course.
I'd wait for you.

Jamie probably wouldn't.

Here's what it looked like...

I love the little girl yelling back "Good morning!"

We squeezed through, but the only spot we could find was…

BEHIND A GIANT TRAIN-STATION-SHAPED TREE.

Whoops! They waited for you but didn't reserve a prime viewing spot???
What's with that?

Actually, I really like that framing with the tree.

Since I love it so much, here’s a little video.

I like those little videos you make.
But what cracked me up was two things.
1. You get off the monorail and Jamie's in front of you. Immediately after, you're in front.
I can just hear you "Move, Jamie! We're going to miss it! Oh, just get out of my way!"
2. Afterwards you're in the park and zooming by people left and right.
Girl on a mission!

And... what the HECK happened to that bird at the 3:25 mark????

I really like what they’ve done to the hub, I think it was worth the construction.
Although Jamie asked the mystery question...
What used to be there?
...
:confused3

:lmao: I actually lol'd so hard, I snorted!
Hang on... I'm going back up to listen to that again... BRB.

:rotfl:

But I was feeling generous, so I let Jamie choose our first destination.
If you read my last trip report you will know exactly where he chose!

Oh, no.... No... Not...

Hey Buzz buddy!!!!

OMG! Again?!?!?

Buzz: I AM SICK OF THE SIGHT OF THESE PEOPLE.

:lmao:

Jamie is super competitive, and last year we were always competing to max out our score (999,999).
He was pretty horrified by our scores as we left the FIRST room..!!

100???? 100?????

I’m always really gormless )

Saving the public from evil... it's Gorm Girl!
She'll freeze the bad guys with her dull blank gaze!
Watch out! The dullness rubs off!

I tried to project this encouragement onto Jamie, but he was too busy giving me his usual response to losing…

24228646642_b8d3c2cb60_b.jpg

 Poor Jamie!

Jamie has never been able to fit through the bars, but because he’s THAT competitive, he HAS to try.

Well this year...

THIS HAPPENED.

And... he's still there.
If you should go. Please give him some water.
(No food. We hope to squeeze him back out some day.)

Aww... Cute pic of you two.

We left Buzz at 9:10am

Ah. So he got out from behind the bars then.

I bet King Triton wishes he’d had the “what are your intentions with my daughter?” conversation with Eric.

"Well, sir. I was going to fillet her and serve her as a surprise delicacy to my guests. But instead I think I'll just have her stuffed and nailed to the front of my boat."

WHY.
Why is she stapled onto the front of that boat?!
(Please don’t try to tell me it’s just a figurehead. It’s clearly taxidermy.)

Oh it's definitely taxidermy.
Obviously.

The line was totally empty, but we still stopped to see the cute little blue crab that runs around.

Oh, shoot! I missed that!

I love this next clip, because (if you have good night vision) right at the end you can see Jamie copying Ariel’s dancing... :rotfl:

:lmao: And you can just see his mischievous grin, too!

I think the animatronics are amazing in this ride, especially Eric and Ariel in the lagoon scene.

24336815915_d71fc205d5_b.jpg

Dude. She's just not that into you.

And we like to believe that Ariel has just realised she's marrying a pot-head.

::yes::

Her expression is full of realisation and regret.

"Keep smiling! OMG, what did I get myself into! He's going to nail me to his boat!"

Whoa. That is cool.

We continued on to our next destination, but first we stopped at the Tangled area to find some hidden Pascals.

Haven't done this either.
Knew they were there, but... :confused3

Then we continued on to the Haunted Mansion!

All right! Best ride in WDW!

What?!?!? I didn't know that! I thought when they took the original one out, they didn't replace it!
Crap! Crap! Crap!

Well, guess I'll just have to go back now.

Whereabouts is it in the queue?

It's really dark, but here’s a clip of a ghost stretching our heads!!!!

 Love your yip when it happens.

Today I decided that this ride is far too scary for little kids.
Am I alone in this?!

I wouldn't know.
Neither of my girls would ride it when they were 4 & 8.
But they loved it next time when they were 8 & 12 and wanted to know what all the fuss was about.

Jamie said he thinks I scare too easily.
I don’t know what he means, I was only 20 when I built up the courage to re-ride it

Also, does this count as a hidden Mickey..?!

I dunno. Is there an official rules book for hidden Mickeys?
Definitely seems to be wearing Mickey ears.

(Last year we were the only ones laughing at the jokes, it was weird.)

Had that happen to me too.
And it's a bit awkward.

This time my favourite joke was,

“This is Schweitzer Falls, named after the famous explorer, Dr Albert Falls.”

:laughing: ::yes::

Wait, did I lose a bag at the airport, and it ended up here at Big Thunder…?

Disney stole it?!?!?

Thunder Mountain was fun, but was made ever funnier by the old couple sat behind us.
The man was wailing like a cartoon character the ENTIRE ride, and the woman way swearing like a sailor!!
We were cracking up at them.

:lmao:

I gotta run. Will finish commenting later.

Honestly I was waiting/hoping that you would say he got stuck. Is that mean? It would make for a great story!:rotfl2:

Soon the new Move It, Shake it, DANCE AND PLAY IT street party came along.
This was my first time seeing it.
...
UGH.
To me, the song just isn’t catchy at all and the whole thing is just meh.
This is pretty much how I feel about it.

I have never agreed more with anything in my life. Disney's motto is "hey, do you like this parade? well it's gone now!" (i.e. Spectromagic)

The perspective makes Jamie look like he has a ginormous hand, and now it’s all I see when I look at this photo.

Little caricature Jamie! haha

Splash was perfection, and we got completely soaked!
Even on the small drops!
The water level seemed really high throughout the whole trip.
But we had a great time.

Okay so this happened to us this year. Normally my sister and I duck at the end, allowing our parents to get soaked. But unfortunately my dad noticed that our boat was dragging in the back, so every hill we hit, the front sort of divebombed in the water, drenching us in the front row :confused3 No bueno!

Love the new update, can't wait to see more!

:lmao: Oh, man. I missed you Lu!

I know.

:rotfl:

Like what? I don't understand? Tell me!

chanel-oberlin-scream-queens-pilot.gif

I say this all the time!!! And the line that follows it makes me LOL every single time :rotfl2:Do you remember it?! I'm not sure I can repeat it since it could be deemed offensive... But thankfully, @BibbitybobityLu went there instead, and posted it in her comment on the next page :rotfl2: so see that if you want reminding :thumbsup2

Hey I can always be counted on to lower the tone! :thumbsup2

It's Lou's fault. She rubs off on me.

tumblr_lt0jw2Iddl1r317bvo1_500.gif

You give me your love then rip it away from me without a second thought, taking my heart along with you.

sorry.gif

So does mine!! He's managed to snatch a few things off my plate before

This is also my dog:

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: So true!

Literally me on Disney day.

:lmao:

This is me when I wake up at 3am with jet lag but it's still Disney day!

She's back ladies and gentlemen :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

arrested-development-gif-3.gif

Omg it does! I didn't even realise :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

I can't help it that my brain is just so awesome!
:rotfl:

HOW HAVE YOU NOT BEEN BANNED FROM THE DIS YET.

tumblr_m2anq3TfOl1qhyjcm.gif

They're not true Brits! It's an outrage. It's 2:30pm and I've had 5 cups of tea in giant mugs today. And you're going to give me ONE of those teeny tiny tea cups on an 8 hour flight??? NO.

giphy.gif

Agreed. But also this Granny is my spirt animal:

tumblr_m00vqlADfR1qd8t4mo1_500.gif

These are my favourite lines in the film :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Along with when Miranda says her spy name/porn name (name of first pet + name of the first street you lived on) was Amber Valentine, and Melissa McCarthy's was Meatball Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: I laughed for about a week.

That film is so funny! But seriously if I was going to become a porn star, you know if my other stuff doesnt work out, Meatball Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is a pretty sexy name ;)

TELL ME ABOUT IT.

(Have you watched AHS Hotel yet? It's the finale tonight!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:)

I haven't seen any of AHS:Hotel yet!!    My life is so incomplete! Is it good??

You will be there soon!!! :jumping1:

I KNOW! :jumping1:

I haven't a clue, there must be a structural reason because it would be a very odd thing to design for no reason... Why do you think you'll have a second floor room?!

I think because we have a lagoon view they only have those views on the first and second floor which is super sucky. :sad1:

Wearing a birthday button at Walt Disney World is the literal definition of thug life. :rotfl2:

This will be you.

giphy.gif

Thug+life_2fe9fa_3938058.jpg

 I'll get right on it! Thanks for finally giving your approval. You're officially to blame for this almost-month-long hiatus :thumbsup2

You are welcome. :rotfl:

Wait, she rubs what?

bBlXay8.gif

I was expecting Lou to answer that.
But I see she's not the only one around here who's a naughty girl.

I would have answered it...but the answer I kept writing really would have gotten me kicked off the DIS. :rolleyes1

SHE'S A BAD INFLUENCE.

Hey!

tumblr_inline_noej0iYwbr1rbra2d_500.gif

And I bring plenty of rude innuendos too

We went to see the new grass area, and it was totally empty!
It felt like our own VIP area. princess:

"Excuse us folks, you're going to have to vacate the area. The Little Katie is on her way and she'll need this entire space. Thanks for understanding."

Soon the new Move It, Shake it, DANCE AND PLAY IT street party came along.
This was my first time seeing it.
...
UGH.
To me, the song just isn’t catchy at all and the whole thing is just meh.
This is pretty much how I feel about it.

Ditto.

There was nobody by the Partners statue!
I had to get a picture because I don’t think this has ever happened before in the history of everything.

Actually it happens all the ti....

Oh. Wait.
I'm thinking of something else.
Yes. You're right. It never happens.

We saw that the Mad Tea Party had a 5-minute line so we decided to go there.

:faint:

Jamie span us super fast, and at one point he abruptly changed our direction, UGH I did not appreciate that at all!
Blehhh.

I'm telling you. That ride is the Devil!

Then we went to the PeopleMover, for obvious reasons.

Obviously. How could you not?

Well someone looks pleased as punch.
(I presume the clams and the punch get together for parties.)

The perspective makes Jamie look like he has a ginormous hand, and now it’s all I see when I look at this photo.

23968905399_738a1aa170_b.jpg

Agghhhh!!!! He could lift you with just two fingers! He'll crush you like a bug!

I was slightly, unintentionally Disneybounding as the PeopleMover today :thumbsup2

Of course you were. I hope you told everyone.

(But seriously, when is this show NOT on?!)

 True.

We all have that one friend who gets too wasted and ruins all the photos.

24310499186_b64e79bc1a_b.jpg

You laugh. But it was actually Minnie.
She's a lush.

I asked Jamie and he said his favourite part was when the dancers twirled around.
This may sound innocent, but if you’ve seen the show, you might know that it’s not…
Let’s just say the dresses/skirts are very… floaty. :sad2:

I think I'm beginning to like this Jamie.

FIRST RIDE ON SPLASH MOUNTAIN OF THE YEAR!!!

Woot!

My favourite thing EVER.
Not even my favourite ride.
My actual favourite THING ever.

So I'm not sure I understand.
Do you like it?

(As this video starts you can hear that Jamie is singing "show me your bone", because that's what he likes to believe the lyrics are.)

Yep. Definitely liking him more and more.

There you are. Jamie having fun. Katie posing prettily... and everyone behind you terrified.

With water all over my face and my hair starting to frizz

No! Not the hair!!!

we went to our lunch reservation at Be Our Guest!

Nice! I love it there!

I randomly checked the reservations website one day and found a prime opening at 12:45pm!

Great score!

We both had the turkey sandwich, we are obsessed with it.

You seem to have many, many obsessions.
I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to limit yourself to no more than six obsessions per day.

I really don’t think we will ever try anything different.
It's so delicious!

Okay! You've convinced me. I'll have that next time.

We ordered one with fries and one with green beans and split the sides.

That's side splitting humour right there.

We often daydream about recreating it at home but we haven’t a clue what makes it so special.

I checked All Ears recipes and they only had two from BOG (neither was the Turkey sandwich)

For dessert we split a Master’s cupcake, which was greatness.

::yes::

I have a book called The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World by Susan Veness, which says that the cherubs on the ceiling of Be Our Guest restaurant are in fact the faces of the Imagineers and their children as infants.

Pretty cool!

Very cool!
