Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

Hello !!!!

Just stopping by to say I'll be back in September to wish you lots of luck with your Moms Panel Applications ....

I can't really believe that it's nearly a year ago that I applied for the 5th time, and finally made it onto the Moms Panel. :yay:

See you Real Soon! Hang on tight, it's going to be another Roller Coaster ;)

Hey! I’m Kimball - Zurgswife. I’m a 48 year mother of 4 kids (well no longer kids as they are 21, 19, 18 and 15 and wife of Zurg.

I’m a Nurse by day and night. I'm the total Disney freak in the family but it has fortunately rubbed off to all so we still love our trips.

We've been to Walt Disney World 21 times in the past 15 years and went on a Disney Cruise in March, 2000. Our kids have, literally, grown up going to Disney. Especially my youngest whos first trip was at 3 months.

This will be my fourth time to apply for a spot on the Disney Mom's Panel.

So very excited that this thread has commenced! I am very grateful to have other Disney addicts and Mom hopefuls to share this journey with. Especially to learn from those who have been through it before.
My name is Lauren, I am the proud mom to two boys (7, 14 Mo) and have another Disney baby due in Jan. I am a stay at home mom and have a wonderful husband in sales that not only allows me to stay at home with our kiddos, but also supports my Disney adoration! Our next trip is in 49 days to CBR and AKL! This will be my first time applying, so I am very excited to learn the process. Taking my laptop on our trip so I don't miss anything and being six months pregnant should give me some down time to relax and check in on the process.

Hello everyone! Made it to the second round last year and will be trying for the panel again this year. It was fun to be a part of the group that was in the 'waiting room' last year. Boy, did we analyze and strategize the weeks of waiting away!

I'm Pam, mom of a 14-year old boy...we've been to WDW seven times in the last five years and are grappling with having to give WDW a break due to the high school years not being as easy to miss school time during the quiet seasons at WDW. So...I have been researching DCL to keep us in the mix! We sure love our Disney-time! :)

As for everyday life, I work as a Human Resources professional in Southern Ontario (Canada). Besides Disney, I enjoy my son's soccer (filling in quasi-coaching when DH is on the afternoon shift). I'm an avid reader and we just love to hang out at home and enjoy our outdoor-room and the park that we back onto.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and to the keeping each other company while we 'patiently' wait!

I have used the mom's panel many-a-time in the past and they have always steered me in the right direction, so best of luck to all who are applying! What is the process like?

:wizard:Does anyone want to venture to guess when the applications will open? My money is on 9/10 or 9/17. :wizard:

I will be at WDW both those dates so where better to apply! :)

Jealous! I could so go for another trip there this year. It doesn't help my son's favorite thing is to look at Disney World on Google Earth! We start at the TTC follow the monorail to EPCOT look around there, then on to MK, etc.

I've asked plenty of questions to the Moms (and Dads) on the Panel as well. I've also read a lot of the other questions posted and found out some great info that I didn't know about.

I always read the Mom's panel questions and answers. I love to hear everyone's perspective and to occasionally get some new tips and info! I find myself wishing they had an "add to answer" button even though those guys and gals do such a great job!

I do the same thing!

Hi all! It seems that I'm a novice compared to many of you. But, I do love WDW. My DD and I went for the first time about eight yeara ago, and each year since. POFQ, Nov 26 is our next visit. The Moms Panel has been helpful with planning for many of our visits. During the last couple of years people have starting asking me for Disney planning advice. So, although a novice, I am thinking of applying. Any advice. Either way, I love knowing that there are others out there that love WDW as much as I do.

Hi Mel,

I know it is almost time for your Alaskan cruise! I know you've probably seen this, but I just saw it today and thought of you. :goodvibes

Hi Sarah! I have that photo as my desktop wallpaper. My DD & I watched all the videos. Andi did such a great job in the videos for the Mom's Panel. Nancy - one of the new DCL Specialists on the Mom's panel - has been my go-to-gal for this Alaskan cruise. As it approaches, I find I have more and more to ask.

On another happy note, the gals and I have chosen Art of Animation for our girls-only weekend. Yay!:cheer2:

Should we all get to know each other better? The best part of the process last year was our magical waiting room!

This will be my second year applying. My last trip was in November, I love November because the weather is great, the crowds are low and MVMCP! I am a SAHM to a 3 year old, who has food allergies.

Who's next?

I have applied each year except for one. Our last trip was in March for Spring Break. During that trip we sailed on the Wonder for seven nights! :) We will be sailing on our fourth cruise in December, the Christmas cruise...on the DREAM!
I work as a Volunteer Director, my husband works at the school district. We have a six-year old daughter and a 19-month old son.

Doug, met you one year in the Soarin' line at Epcot, you said to get involved on these boards. Thanks for the advice! :wave2:

Hi everyone! It's so nice to see so many familiar faces and some amazing friends and "moms" that I have made connections with via facebook, twitter, and blogs since last year! I am so excited and happy that the past members of the "waiting room" and now mom's panel members are here to cheer us on! Thanks for the encouragement everyone! Can't wait to meet you all!

I am Heather...this will be my 3rd time applying and I am hoping this is my lucky year! I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I am married to a wonderful guy for 5 years now! We were engaged in Cinderella Castle...pure magic! We have been to Disney 12 times in 5 years! We also cruised last spring on the Dream and it was amazing! My 2 year old will be visiting with us for his 4th trip in December of this year and my 6 month old will be taking her first trip! We are Disney fanatics and I just love to spread the joy and magic of Disney. I have been recruited to help family, friends, and strangers plan trips!

I am an oncology nurse...working with stage 4 cancer patients. When they see my Mickey scrubs and Mickey watch it always strikes up such a happy conversation and I am always sure to have pictures on hand! I love that in their sickest moments chatting about Disney brings back memories for them and I am able to make them smile and in that moment they are not thinking about their disease they are just thinking of magical memories! :goodvibes:grouphug::flower3:

I write with an amazing group of women over at http://www.disneygals.com/
Check us out!

I am so honored to join you all on this journey this year! I look forward to connecting with friends old and new! I can't wait to catch up with all of you! Also a special thanks for getting this thread rolling again...AND to the mom's panel members for always being so down to earth and cheering us on! Do you all feel like you have "groupies" :rotfl2:
