AKV Annual CHRISTMAS tree exchange

I will be organized the Christmas Tree exchange for AKV this year!! Hoping to spread around some holiday cheer for the families that are visiting! If you would like to participate please post what dates you would like it and if you are staying at Kidani or Jambo. Please also PM me the Name on the reservation and a phone number so I may reach you if needed. Please also let me know how many people in your party so I can include a little holiday gift! I will keep an updated list here for dates that are requested and available I will try to make sure as many groups as possible get a chance to have the tree!! For those who haven't participated before I have included some info in the quote below.

TREE FAMILIES:

Pick up the tree at Bell Services on the day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations in each tree box to help with shipping the trees to and from the resorts.

Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11 am with Bell Services for the next family. Cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Many families also add an ornament to the tree.

When dropping the tree off with Bell Services, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree. Also, get the name of the CM who you left the tree with.

Occasionally, a tree is misplaced by a CM. Please don't spend your vacation tracking down the tree. Allow Bell Services to look for you!

NOTE: THE DAY YOU PICK A TREE MAY NOT BE THE DAY YOU ARRIVE. THE DAY YOU DROP OFF A TREE MAY NOT BE THE DAY YOU CHECK OUT. This is to share the trees with the greatest number of families.

Ok, maybe this is a silly question, so forgive me in advance!
Is this anything like the Fish Extender on the cruise? I'm new to DVC and will be at AK-Kidani during December. Is this an actual tree? PLEEEEEEEASE Fill me in

It is definitely a real tree No need to contribute before hand there will be envelopes included in the box for participating families to contribute. Please include all guest names in your pm as i would like to include a little gift for each family participating! I will add you to the list!

This is an awesome tradition, I never heard of it before, probably because we are new to DVC. We will be at Kidani Village after Christmas but we would love to participate if it will still be ongoing. There are only 2 of us and our stay is booked from Dec 30-Jan 3. Also any tips for staying around the holidays (maybe things to avoid) would also be greatly appreciated!

Hopefully We will have enough people to warrant sending Two trees down. One for Kidani and one for Jambo. We will have to see how many are interested in Participating

I've got you on the list now for Jambo.. The tree will be between 2-4 ft.. I haven't actually designated which tree yet but just a table top tree is what it will be.
