:thumbsup2 Great news, Claire. We love the Sheraton Skyline. Last couple of times we've stayed there (last August and this April before our NY trip) the pool area has been shut due to refurbishment, so hopefully it should be about ready for you in December.

As for hotel in NYC, would highly recommend the Westin Times Square - lovely hotel in an excellent position.

    Happy planning:surfweb:

DH liked the look of the Sofitel and so do I, but will bear others in mind if alot cheaper for a double/twin room!

Great news. I'm in the process of looking at what hotel to stay in NY for next year.

Yayyy! I love New York! We've got a 9 hour stopover in Newark on our way back from Orlando next year that I'm definitely taking advantage of :goodvibes

Oh and as for hotel, I can highly recommend the Millenium Hilton which is on Ground Zero :thumbsup2 Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
