After the cruise - Galveston

Our flight after the cruise does not leave until 5 p.m. Since we will have a rental car I am wondering if there will be anything for us to do other than waiting at the airport? There will be 4 adults and 3 kids (7, 9, 11). I figure that is we disembark by 9ish we should have at least 5 hours.
