HI, I'm thinking of planning a trip to Asheville, NC in June or July. I would like for us (DH, and 3 sons, 10, 6, and 2) to stay in a cabin and I'm having a hard time finding something nice and affordable. It looks like Asheville cabins at Willow Winds are nice, but it's going to cost over $1500 for a week there in a 2 BR... and I'm not even sure if they'll let us stay in a 2 BR since it says it only accommodates 4. From their site it looks like their cabins are secluded and near trails and they have other things like playgrounds and such to amuse the kids in our down time. Asheville cottages are a tiny bit cheaper but look like they are kind of more in a neighborhood and do not have any amenities, and I couldn't tell how close they were to hiking trails and other activities. Any other recommendations for cabins or houses? I just don't want to stay in a hotel, I want the more homey feel. Is this just a pricey area and I need to just rework my budget to fit one of these two options? Thanks for any help!
