Anyone ever rented a bike or Aquatrike on CC? Can you tell me about the experience?

I did not personally rent them but my daughter and her fiancee did and they loved it. They got a lot of great photos from around the island. I am planning on them for our upcoming trip based on how much fun they had. We are also considering the water trikes as well, looks like fun for the family.
My son and I have rented bikes a couple of times. The rental process was quick and easy -- I just presented my Key to the World card at the rental desk, received a receipt, then selected bikes and helmets. The bike path goes on a loop and was easy to follow. There are a few water stations where you can stop for a drink.
My DH, DS 11 and DS 8 rented the bikes back in March and it was one of the best memories we have. The bikes were so easy to ride that it didnt seem like we were riding that far. Bring your camera!
Oh and another tip....read the signs! You actually bike on the opposite side that you would think it sections of the path.
We always rent them ... one of my fave things to do on the island! Enjoy!
Can only 2 go on the watertrike, or could you get one adult with two kids?
I'm sure this goes without saying... but you need to be in shape for those aquatrikes!! I sure felt the burn getting us back to shore!! I had a waterproof camera with me and we saw a huge stingray. Totally worth it.
We have also rented bikes and it is a neat way to see parts of the island you would otherwise miss.
The bikes are a lot of fun. There is a big wooden tower on the far side of the island that you can climb up and see all of Castaway Cay. Here are some photos of our ride. You can see the ship in the background (far far away)
The water trikes are very hard. My Dh took our Dd while I kayaked with son.
The regular bikes are rented for an hour officially, but they are on "island time." Which means that you're not going to be charged more if you are 15 minutes late getting them back. At least that was our experience.
What do you mean island time?
Cheap, cheap and worth it! I think it was only like $6 a person to rent a bike when we sailed over Thanksgiving. It was a great way to see the island and go to the adult beach. Since they weren't renting that many bikes that day we got to keep ours for as long as we wanted! Oh and their were some great photo ops along the bike trail, so bring your camera. Great excercise too...I'd say it's absolutely worth it especially for the price!
