I've always had my kids with me, so the best I've ever done is a quick margarita in Mexico or a beer in Germany or a Grey Goose slushy in France (not a fan, btw)....what are some great bar/lounges where we can go and get a great drink, maybe a small snack? Ill take quiet locations as well as more party-type atmospheres (let me know which one it is, please!) Going to build a list of the most mentioned locations to visit in a few weeks!

    Thanks all! :)

Mintzer's lounge in the GF is the most elegant IMHO.

Blue Zoo in the Dolphin has a hip, trendy adult bar.

My favorite place with or without kids is to have an adult beverage and walk around WS at my own pace and admire all the theming.
    • Sitting at the plaza in Italy with a Prosecco.
    • Getting a Boddington’s from Rose and Crown sitting either in the Rose Garden or in the sitting area overlooking the Lagoon. Or sometimes striking up a conversation with someone at the Rose and Crown.
    • A beer and a bench in the Germany Plaza
    • A Grand Marnier slushy or red wine on the bench by the fountain in France

It is all about enjoying the beautiful scenery and listening to the area music.

We pretty much like all Disney drinking locales...with a preference towards the deluxe hotel bars.

Some of our favorites are the Blue Zoo lounge at Swan, Il Mulino bar at Dolphin, Crew's Cup at Beach & Yacht Club, Mizner's at the GF, Raglan Road at DTD (RR: more party due to live music at night).

Tambu at the Poly and The Wave at Contemporary are nice too. As are Victoria Falls at AK and Territory Lounge at WL.

In the parks Dawa Bar at AK, Cava at Epcot and Tune-In at DHS (this place can be a zoo due to people waiting for 50's Prime Time seating). The Rose & Crown at Epcot is very popular but the beer selection ain't so good - just a bunch of euro macros.

    My favorites, in no order:

    • Sanaa lounge (good wines, great staff)
    • Bluezoo lounge (best mixed drinks on property)
    • Cabana Bar and Beach Club (good eats, relaxing atmosphere)
    • The Wave lounge (cool decor and friendly staff, also a nice lunch spot)

    bluezoo is my favorite.

I also enjoy Il Mulino, Crew Cup Lounge, Mizners at resorts. The Tambu is fun if you can get a seat.

In park, I love La Cava de Tequila, Tutto Gusto, Rose & Crown Pub, and the outdoor Dawa Bar at AK.

Doing a Monorail Crawl is a nice way to see several resorts while enjoying cocktails and even some appetizers. We visit the Poly, GF and the CR last. Sometimes we have a cocktail in the lounge or a cocktail/appetizer at a restaurant bar. We are DVC members and finish off at TOWL then walk back to our room. The CR has the Wave and Outer Rim as well.

A very small but unique location is the Gurgling Suitcase at Old Key West. The conch fitters are quite yummy and we try to make stop here for a cocktail or just a visit on every trip.

If someone is a beer fan there is a great app called Beers for Ears that will tell you what beers WDW has and where you can find them. For anyone into craft/different beers this is great.

For me, La Cava. Best friend from college and I went a couple years ago and had intentions of spending the afternoon walking around Epcot. Instead, we spent the whole afternoon hanging out there! Love the atmosphere and trying a bunch of different margaritas! Also like the atmosphere at Poly in Tambu Lounge.

I like the Wave lounge at the Contemporary. Laid-back atmosphere and great organic beer flight.

Jellyrolls dueling pianos bar at the Boardwalk is super fun. Definitely not a quiet bar, but a wonderful locale for adults. They are typically pretty busy, but not over run and the piano players are all awesome!

I'll dissent from my forum members: avoid Tambu Lounge after 5 p.m. When 'Ohana opens the bar is crawling with people, some of whom have no business being in a bar. If you want to visit, go for lunch.

    Territory Lounge
The Wave (best informed and gossipy bartenders in WDW)
    Crew's Cup

Our favorite in a park is Dawa Bar at Animal Kingdom...great people watching.

We also enjoy the bars at Sanaa and at Jiko.

Grabbing a glass of wine in the World Showcase and finding a bench to sit and people watch is also a nice relaxing way to spend some time.

If you're going to Tambu late, it's not so bad - I read online that it does down after 9pm so I went there about 9:30pm-ish and there was only about 4 other people sitting at the bar - had my pick of the seats :goodvibes

    10. Il Mulino, Swan and Bluezoo, Dolphin (can't leave one out)
    9. Gurgling Suitcase, Old Key West
    8. The Wave, Contemporary
    7. Raglan Road, Downtown Disney
    6. Rose & Crown, Epcot
    5. Sanaa, Animal Kingdom Villas
    4. Territory Lounge, Wilderness Lodge
    3. Tutto Gusto, Epcot
    2. The Lounge at California Grill

The Bellevue Lounge at the Boardwalk is one of our favorites. We usually go there for a nightcap out on the patio.

Dedicated boozehound (or -cat, I suppose), so there's really not many I haven't tried.

Favorite-favorite, mainly because of the cast and the people with whom I usually meet there is Mizner's. After blathering one night about my Jobim/samba fixation with the gents in the Society Orchestra, they arranged a whole Jobim set for me. They play it for me whenever I'm in Mizner's, which I think is fifteen kinds of fantastic.

bluezoo for "mixology" drinks and probably the best bar food menu.

Tutto Gusto draws me in like a magnet 'cause I have a thing for Italian wines and oddball aperitifs like cynar and Campari. I seem to spend less and less time elsewhere in EPCOT.

Rose and Crown when Carl is tending bar (the bum keeps bankers' hours, so he's increasingly hard to find), as you'll always run into someone you know there, even if it's the one time a year you see them.

Tambu Lounge is good for tiki drinks, especially around 2:00 in the afternoon when it's fairly quiet and you've bagged on the Magic Kingdom after being assaulted by thirty-six homicidal stroller pilots.

Territory Lounge as it's usually free from hubbub, and Brucie the bartender makes the most technically perfect martinis and Manhattans. She's also quite good with the inside dope, as it were. To echo what sotoalf said, she used to be at the Wave and Top of the World, so I think the Contemporary cast has a particularly good information pipeline.

I spend altogether too much time thinking on this topic...
