Hey, ya'll!

So first of all... I have one teeny tiny little update update regarding this trip. Today is officially...

1 YEAR UNTIL I'M RIDING SOLO AGAIN AT DISNEY WORLD!

Time to dance!

Sooooo... That's exciting.

And here's a follow up to the last update's snuggly cat pictures. Some of ya'll saw this on FB already, but...

I can't even just read a book in peace. That dang Butters, man. He's RELENTLESS.

So my best friend / work boss (she was my bestie before she got the job as my manager... it's complicated) is on her way to Disney RIGHT NOW! (She actually called me at 7:45am panicking over questions about her check-in at Wilderness Lodge this afternoon, and I explained what will happen when she arrives, and that put her mind at ease. ) Today is her birthday, and she's doing a quick weekend trip with her hubby, daughter (12), and mother-in-law. Since we knew she'd be gone today, we did her birthday here in the office yesterday. She was raised in Hawaii, and is spending her b-day at WDW, and I found this cake because I'm awesome...

Kinda perfect, right?

And then finally, on my other PTR, @NJlauren shared this, which pretty much sums up my life (and this thread)...

Ya hoo!!! One year to go solo! I tell ya, it awesome to have 2 trips in the works, isn't it?

Oh Butters I adore you! You can come visit me anytime Mr. Snuggly! I can't get Angus to snuggle with me at all. He has chosen my husband as "his person" and he's not even a cat dude. Go figure.

Cute b-day cake for your boss! How exciting for her to spend her b-day at Disney. I have dreams of a Disney birthday trip but with mine being at the end of June I'm not so sure I'm willing to fight the crowds and the heat to go on my actual birthday. That's why I'm sneaking it in at the beginning on June!

Best birthday trip idea ever (and I think you know that too...)! Although maybe not with the mother-in-law.

I KNOW!!! I looked at the calendar this morning and did a little dance because next year at this time I'll be flying down to Disney all alone! No husband, no parents, no kids!

But isn't loving the cat more important than a boring old book?

I showed my husband that pic and said I think I need a cat day soon! It's going to be a running joke now, I may take a vacation day after the 1st of the year so I can cat!

The cake is perfect and I'm sure your friend really appreciated it! Here is the cake my DD and I picked out for the hubby last weekend for his bday! We discovered when we took the Darth Vader off the cake it "talked"....too funny!

I'm definitely Butters person. He doesn't love anybody but me. And occasionally my Mom when she stops by, depending on his mood.

I'm a big fan of Young Adult fiction. I think that night I was reading "The Serpents Shadow." It's the third book in the Kane Chronicle trilogy. It's written by Rick Riordan, the same guy that wrote the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus books. But instead of Greek, this series is based on Egyptian mythology.

1 Year - Yay! Always great to make daily progress and have something more to look forward to!

Earlier this month I booked myself a little staycation, and I spent an entire week catting! It was glorious!

A www, poor kitty just wants to spend time with his mommy!! Our fur babies miss us when we are gone. After all, I go to work to keep us supplied with cat food and kitty toys and cozy blankets, lol.

Hey Billie! Finally made my way over here and saw I had s shout out already ; ). Of course you had me at Billie, but add in food and the fact that I'm writing this from bed with no pants and drinking wine it's pretty darn perfect. No cats but some massive Newfoundlands in the room so same, right?

So happy you got beach club. We're starting to plan next year and those military rates are awesome. Right now we are between dolphin and POFQ but haven't been able to decide.

That's so funny you say that, because in the mornings as I'm leaving out the door for work, I often tell them "Be good, boys! Mama's gotta go to work to buy you kitty food!"

Hmmm. I'm pretty sure that the Swan and Dolphin don't fall under the same military rates as Disney's resorts do. They might do their own, though. Definitely check with them before you make a decision!

I'm 99% sure was raised in Oahu, actually. Her father was Navy, and got stationed there when she was very young, and they just stayed there. So I know she's from near where ever the base is. Haha.
