A CM at the reservation centre told me my ADR date was March 23 to make my reservations for my Sept 29 - Oct 4 trip.... she said I can make reservations 180 + 10 days out.....I , however thought I couldn't start making reservations until April 2, my official 180 days out date.
Can someone help me understand when I can make my first reservation for my trip??
    Thanks :goodvibes

You can start making reservations 180 days from the start date of your resort stay and then up to 10 days past that. So if your trip is less than 10 days then all of them.

    ADR 180 day calculator:

It's very simple. If you could make ADRs 190 days out from the start of your vacation, no one and nowhere would it ever say 180+10. Why would it, if it was truly 190?

As summermac stated, it's 180 days out from the first day of your vacation + up to the next 10 days of your vacation. I don't understand why people make this so confusing for themselves. :confused3

Thats the way I always thought it was, and I wasn't confused until the CM stated I could make reservations beginning on March 23 for a package that starts on Sept 29 :confused3....obviously she was mistaken

Because the CM, a representative of the company, TOLD them so?

The issue should not be with why people can't figure this it. It should be with why this company can't get their phone representatives on the right page with this.

... (though I am getting this from a CM) but they said they have a little calendar where they plug your check-in date in and it spits back the earliest ADR date. It would seem that the CMS that are offering 190 days must be adding onto that or that maybe the CM I had was using something non-standard. Either way, in this day and age, it shouldn't be that complicated to have a standard answer.

That said, I am utterly amazed by the varied responses you can get for one question and have learned to take a lot with a grain of salt. ;)

See, you shouldn't say that. Now all the people who like to blame others for their lack of homework and common sense will believe they can book at 370 days out. :thumbsup2

Common sense should tell you that if it was really 190 days, they still wouldn't call it that, because it would only be an advantage for onsite guests. Still would be 180 days for everyone else which would be the advertised number.

It also doesn't help that CMs are giving out misinformation. As a former TA, I know that the Disney training we received was insane. I don't know why they don't do the same for their own CMs? :confused3
