Oh, and just think about how ticked she'd be if the kilt clashed with her wedding colors...

I'd be more worried about walking over a subway grate and re-creating the iconic Marilyn Monroe picture.
Being a guy, I'm sure he gave these issues quite a bit of thought.
I guess this goes back to that "confidence" thing again.
Something about this picture reminded of THIS
It's too LOUD!!!
And your...ummm...feelings about this reminds me of THIS
The results are in! Sorry it took me so long, but it was hard work compiling and sorting 116 separate contest entries. My wife and I read through each and every one of them a few times before narrowing down our favorites.
You guys were amazing. So many of these made me laugh out loud, imagining them as the center of a global Beverly ad campaign. Lots of creativity in this group of readers here, which begs the question: how come you're not rich and famous and writing scripts for high-concept Hollywood comedies? Or maybe you are, and just aren't saying.
In any case, here's the roundup. We awarded a host of bonus points, not just the final grand prize. All judgments were made on the completely subjective basis of whatever made Julie and me laugh. And if you're upset that one of your favorites was left out, remember: the points are ultimately worth slightly less than Enron stock.
Still, if you're willing to put this much effort into a meaningless contest, what would you be willing to do for something that actually has value?
First off, one bonus point (um ponto) to everyone who entered:
Afwdwfan, Trennr, Glennbo123, FreezinRafiki, Pennylane1084, Middlepat, That's Nice, Wherem I Now, Emma's Dad, Marvali, Goofy + 3, and Miss Liz.
We had some interesting slogans. We had major cable network exposure:
We had similar entries:
We had entries that contradicted each other:
We even had entries that mildly insulted other readers:
Now let's start awarding some points.
Best Use of Photoshop Technology
+1 to Pennylane 1084
Best Co-opting of Current Ad Slogans and Catchphrases
+1 to Trennr, Middlepat, Marvali, and Goofy + 3.
Best Full Script for a Commercial
+1 for Trennr.
I created this category for the ones that made me laugh, but that I couldn't convince mean ol' Lunchlady Julie to vote for. (Hi Honey! )
+2 for Trennr, glennbo123, FreezinRafiki, That's Nice, and Marvali apiece.
These were the final candidates for the Grand Prize ®. Julie and I had a hard time deciding from among these.
+3 to afdwdfan, glennbo123, FreezinRafiki, That's Nice and Marvali.
And now the winner...
BEVERLY SLOGAN CONTEST WINNER
Yes, it's low-brow, but Julie and I have never claimed to be high-culture individuals. All I can say is: we laugh every time we read it, and we laugh harder when we imagine it as the tag-line on a TV commercial.
And thanks again to everyone for the endless entertainment. Please address all compliments about this TR and contest to me, and all complaints to Julie.
(trying to think of a comeback)
Can't get to YouTube at work, so I'll check them out at home. But I sure would hate to have to strip away any points...
I think you made a great choice...that was my favorite of the bunch.
When my reply came to me I literally lol'd. That's a lot of fun in a quiet office. Even more fun when I have to try to explain what I was laughing at.
You got me good on that one.
So what did you say to your co-workers?
Actually, I should have said:
O mesmo para você, Ian!!
Congratulations Nate. You had several entries in this thing that made me laugh.
Mark, thanks for hosting this fun contest. I think we all had fun coming up with ideas and reading everyone else's. Now we have high standards for you and expect something even better next time you do a TR.
Celebrate with a cold, refreshing Beverly!
OK I'm Buying!!!
Bartender a round of BEVERLY FOR EVERYONE!!!
Not worried...you should like them...just some old Tiny Toon Adventures Cartoons with a baby Plucky Duck.
You don't have to watch very far in to get to the parts that I was reminded of.
Two of my favorite Tiny Toons. Enjoy!
You know, with style. I blew it off and ignored it.
And a double to the winner!
Congrats Nate. Well earned win.
Get used to disappointment.
I'm not sure they stock enough for that.
Caught up with these last night. The toilet one especially reminds me of my sons--they even cover their ears when the automatic public toilets flush!
Maybe ToT would be more fun if I could push the buttons...
I like this idea!
Sorry I'm a little slow on the next update. I still have some pictures I need to upload before that happens. In the meantime, there are still 2 movie quotes in the various responses that are up for grabs.
