A Trip Of A Million Questions….Dreams

It’s time to take a jolly holiday,
Where teacups are dancing,
And brooms are entrancing,
Whistle all your cares away,
Just believe and if you imagine,
Just believe and your dreams will come true.

Welcome everyone to another Disney trip written by yours truly.
Another trip full of magic, laughter, friends, surprises and a few bumps along the way.

Find and board a magic carpet ride,
Go soaring, free-wheeling,
A magical feeling,
All you need is right inside,
Just believe and if you imagine,
Just believe and your dreams will come true.

Sam
28729187583_051045c448_z.jpg

I’m Sam, 24 year old. I’ve been to disney world too many times to count and is basically there any chance I can get. You can find me scarfing down school bread, walking/pondering life around Fort Wilderness, hanging out in trader Sam’s or laying on the floor of Country Bears.

KC
28729179153_617efd07cb_z.jpg

Kenneth Charles, KC or what I call him Kiss, is my 20 year old brother. He was raised a disney loving child like myself. You can however find him traveling through space at space mountain or taking a trip to Mars.

Erin
29062974220_81f5d06531_z.jpg

Erin is the baby of this trip, 19 year old. She was the one who use to ask me why I went to Disney all the time and after a trip together in December to see the Osborne lights she got the answer to her question. Her Disney dream is to go explore River Country.

Sara
29062976140_90f1d5e075_z.jpg

Sara is 21 and joined along to celebrate finishing school. This wasn’t her first time in Disney but she was pretty much a newbie. It was a new experience for me to see Disney in her eyes.

This trip came together in a few different ways. After the past 2 24 hour events Kiss and I wanted to do it again (unfortunately there wasn’t one this year) So we always had a May trip planned in our heads.
After Christmas, Erin and I wanted to take another trip together because the first one was a blast and why not invite another friend along, Sara.
As it got closer and closer the number of people going went down, but when Sam gets a Disney trip in her head there is 99% chance that she will make it happen.

When: May 28th - June 1st
Where: Caribbean Beach. After a few calls to the CM hotline (thanks to my sister Alicia) we were able to grab a great deal on the room.

Where stories never end,
Make new memories with friends,
It’s time to discover, let magic uncover,
The dream lives in you

IT'S A DISNEY DAY

A great Disney vacation starts with a super early wake up call. And if 3:30am isn't early enough to wake up, I don't know what is. Erin had the idea that we needed to be at the airport super early or we would miss this plane (after so many trips with in the past few years I knew this wasn't the case, but I decided not to argue about it.) Sara got dropped off at Erin's home and they picked up kiss and I on there way. It was only 4:30 for our 6am flight.
Security was a breeze, we found our gate and had a nice 45 minute wait till we started boarding (basically I could have slept for another half hour in my nice warm bed) With every early flight I treat myself with a delicious breakfast sandwich from which wich.

29243076932_ec949480d5_z.jpg

Our flight wasn't full, meaning I could at least curl myself up in 2 seats and sleep, while of course putting on the forever famous Hamilton soundtrack.

29243074922_f0325b3fd7_z.jpg

We landed early which is always great and headed straight for the Magical Express. Erin took this time to warn Sara that if she didn't keep up with me I would just leave them behind…I mean she’s not wrong.

28729968183_3879bb879d_z.jpg

With a nice quick ride and free entertainment of a movie that I have watched way to many times we soon found ourselves entering that wonderful magical gate of happiness.

28729967973_4353061b72_z.jpg

By the time we got to Caribbean Beach is was about 10:30, we still had the whole day ahead of us. Unfortunately most of our day would be spent trying to figure out the layout of the resort and trying to find our room.
Caribbean beach was the only moderate resort I have never stayed at and the main reason why we decided to stay there. So on our to the resort I got the text message with our room number so we didn’t have to check in. What I didn’t know is that the check in/ Magical express building is not anywhere near our room (the layout of this resort is mainly the only reason disliked it)
We figured out what section we were in and what bus stop to get off at. After that all we could do was wait, and wait and wait for that internal bus to come pick us up and take us to Trinidad South
When booking the room we weren’t told that we got a pirate room, at first I was a little mad because I wanted to check out the nice newly refurbished room. However sleeping in a pirate ship bed was not as bad as it might sound to some adults. The only thing I didn’t like was that the pirate rooms were really secluded from the rest of the resort.
After twisting and turning through buildings and hallways we finally found our room.

It felt like it took so long to get to our room that it didn’t take long for us to head straight to the pool.

29243071862_9fa8eda285_z.jpg

For our luck our quiet pool was down for refurb, so we made the walk to the main pool.

We made it to our destination and tried to find 4 chairs together, which is a lot easier said then done.

I have been waiting forever to try this quick service, not really because of the food but for the atmosphere. Was it worth the years of waiting? probably not but it was still pretty nice.

29074976680_fc4dabcb3b_z.jpg

My handy dandy children’s chicken nugget meal didn’t let me down. This time it was extra magical and came in a pail. Who needs a bae when you can have a pail?! The laughing joke was just me coming up with stupid candid moments with my pail.
Just me and my “pal” lounging by the pool

29362298185_23b5be9eb3_z.jpg

After lunch Kiss was feeling that Florida sun a little to much so he went back to take a little nap before we headed out for the night. We stayed back and headed in the water again (however we waited the 30 minutes so we didn’t drown)
Around this time it was time for those lovely recreation CMs to bring the party poolside. My personal favorite game is the name that Disney song, we weren’t really playing but by the end I was full force with my Disney knowledge. At the beginning the songs were the basic everyone knows songs, then by the end it got more “difficult”? It didn’t seem that way to me but everyone else in the pool was quiet. The ones they struggled on was music from The Great mouse detective, newsies, The Three Caballeros , James and the giant peach, and the goofy movie, these are when the girl running the game looked over at me and goes “Do you know it?” Do I know it?! I was practically raised on Disney music, having all those Great hits CDs, I know the music.
After the game ended it was about 2 so we decided to head back to the room and get ready for the night of fun.

YAY! Welcome back

How wonderful that you all vacation together!!
I'll basically go to Disney with anyone who wants to go with me.

Breaking Into River Country

We didn’t have any park passes for the night but that doesn’t mean we have to just hang out in the room all night. Instead we were going to go explore the Magic Kingdom resorts, something new for half our group.

28743490084_9c9570f4be_z.jpg

Since we weren’t allowed into Magic Kingdom we hopped on the first boat to my favorite resort, Fort Wilderness!

28743478994_c074a3b428_z.jpg

28743487464_00ef15cd52_z.jpg

28743476494_83b5f48a3e_z.jpg

28743481054_e85bc4b465_z.jpg

I’m officially not the only one in my group that obsesses over taking pictures.

28743483414_84fba90137_z.jpg

As we passed the wilderness lodge, it was like seeing a whole knew (under construction) resort. The once hidden villas are now out for all of bay lake to see.

29287995301_6ab0b8cf65_z.jpg

29366958865_25d1fd9b2b_z.jpg

Then we passed Erin’s latest obsession, River country

28743468274_7495ab7428_z.jpg

And the famous sneaker tree that boat captain CMs will toss their shoes on when they retire.

29366945745_8ed19d30ee_z.jpg

Finally we made it to our first stop of the night and the resort that makes me heart the happiest

29366941695_081d10817e_z.jpg

Our main reason was that Erin wanted to see where River Country was. I went to check it out once a couple years prior so going to explore was nothing knew to me. Our mission came to a stop though thanks to Mickey’s backyard BBQ and CM’s blocking the way. It was a good shot, so instead I will leave you with photos from my first exploration way back when

8622665181_9c3e82cdc0_z.jpg

8623766710_5d7c57a473_z.jpg

With that total epic fail I told Erin that we would just have to come back again and check it out.

29366939455_ba51729594_z.jpg

It seemed like it would be a waste to just get back on the boat, so instead we walked around and checked out tri-circle-D ranch

29366937035_cbd83f3dbb_z.jpg

29366934875_331c10d721_z.jpg

29366932345_b7d464fdd7_z.jpg

It was a pretty toasty day out so we decided to go to find some AC, to the trading post we go.
But of course I can’t make it to one destination without stopping to take photos. This time it was to take pictures with the hoop dee doo. I only did this because this trip was “Sam’s birthday, lets do surprises with things she has never done” So when Erin asked what I wanted to do I would always say Hoop Dee Doo because its been a favorite since I was a child. And ever time she shot me down.

29366930305_0f2bcd05b3_z.jpg

29366927825_e1c145a00e_z.jpg

Once getting to the trading post I had to stop myself from adding to my fort wilderness collection.

29366925305_fe5a6a7157_z.jpg

The only thing that was bought were the most massive bottles of water I have ever seen. Hydration Station.
After a long hot and sticky wait, we were back on a boat headed to the contemporary. And I slowly melted in the sun on the slow ride across bay lake.

28745541053_6279a66a56_z.jpg

Once again photo op trumped rushing to get AC

28745538923_581658b455_z.jpg

We then headed up to once again browse some more gift shops.

29394687275_3ff11dbef7_z.jpg

Then I showed them one of my favorite spots over looking my favorite park.

29394689455_cdca85c303_z.jpg

29394688155_ae821a29e9_z.jpg

One place on Disney property that I never stepped foot in was Bay Lake and tonight that was all going to change.

28770529544_c1b315f29a_z.jpg

And what better way to enter the tower than by skipping down the walkway with friends?!

28773056143_fd51832d18_z.jpg

29394682955_80db7a7cb0_z.jpg

29394681355_a40141295b_z.jpg

Welcome home, why thank you!

28770511184_55c7e1af8a_z.jpg

This was the shortest stay ever, we walked in and walked out. Sorry bay lake.

29394691415_2962a15ac2_z.jpg

The view though is what would make me come back again

29286502582_7ba89acbd6_z.jpg

28770518894_60541f4446_z.jpg

We headed back to the contemporary, up to the monorail station and off to the Polynesian.

I still need to catch up on your Tokyo Disney TR...but I have been majorly MIA from the DIS lately. Stupid real life getting in the way ;)

But I am excited to be here at the start of a new one! I'll be in WDW in 3 months so I am trying to read as many TR's as I can to get myself pumped up. Not that it takes much lol
Looking forward to reading more!!

We stayed at BLT this past August and I loved all the views from there.
It's on my list of places to stay, so one day!

Guzzling In The Grotto

Once arriving in paradise we headed over to my favorite place, TRADER SAMS!

28770512894_d1fb37fe84_z.jpg

But first detour where I found a lover picker that means so much too me.
Thanks Poly bathroom for always leaving it out so I am obligated to take a picture with it.

28771278574_8245db268e_z.jpg

Once arriving to the smallest yet coolest bar ever on Disney Property we had to wait for a table for 4. We ended up getting the table in the corner that I like to call the Maelstrom corner thanks to the life saver that was saved from the ride and placed on the wall here.

29107098440_d9fd7e3e00_z.jpg

I was ready for a krakatoa and some horrible but funny puns and antics.
Sara didn’t know what she wanted so I suggested she got the zombie head because I enjoyed it.

28771277174_67d9d08d4f_z.jpg

The Krakatoa was a hit in my book

28771275834_511d0074e0_z.jpg

The zombie head turned out not to be a hit for Sara. She didn’t like how it tasted, turns out it might have been a little to strong than what she is use too. And so she thought the best thing to do was to chug it…poor thing. #drinkdrankdrunk

28771278034_62617dbe2d_z.jpg

Since Erin and Kiss are still babies they got some non alcoholic skipper sippers

28771276204_446962d911_z.jpg

The night was definitely just starting and Sara a whole different person, was bringing her to trader sam’s a good idea? Who knows, all I know was that it seemed like everyone was having a good time. So with that I knew Sara didn’t like the zombie so I suggested splitting the pearl. She was passed her limit so I decided to just get the pearl myself.

29107098820_1b856ab17f_z.jpg

Hands down one of the best drinks on the menu. I highly recommend it!
By this point of the of the night things got emotional and I felt bad.
“I can see your faces now because before you were like….”-Sara
So we paid the bill and headed to Captain Cooks pronto. I played the part of mom and knew we needed to get Sara some food. So I got myself my favorite nachos on all disney property and some pizza for Sara.
By this time it was a little past 7 so we took our food to the beach to grab a spot for Wishes.

There are many places on Disney Property that make me happy and the polynesian beach is one of them. Its just a very peaceful place with a beautiful view. How could you hate it?

29287195252_57b45b82af_z.jpg

Just me and my “pal” enjoying a beautiful sunset

29287191222_3f6f229e4f_z.jpg

We still had a while till Wishes started so we played it the sand and took pictures.

See What A Little Wishing Can Do

Soon the sun went down and the nightly seven seas lagoon entertainment started.

28864162463_aa1d4d9fc2_z.jpg

28864158693_2412d6d952_z.jpg

There was a break before Wishes started so everyone took a little cat nap

28773665363_93af29025c_z.jpg

We had too much fun in the sun this afternoon that Erin got a nice burn on her back. “You could cook an egg on my back” -Erin. Classy.
Finally Wishes started and I couldn’t wait. It has been on my list of things to do, watch wishes from the Polynesian beach. And let me tell you it didn’t disappoint. Sure watching it on Main street is the best but not being smushed in like sardines and laying on a chair had its perks.

29406486771_ac3ac19f14_z.jpg

See what a little wishing can do

28864154083_69fba8479e_z.jpg

While it was great to watch from the beach the pain was trying to beat the crowds to the bus. I knew people make the dash out of the park right after. So we didn’t rush to the MK bus loop just yet. Instead we headed back inside the poly and browsed the gift shop. Erin’s sun burn was making her cold so this was a perfect time to grab a sweater before getting on an air conditioned bus.
And while we waited for her to check out this happened…

29377935552_2694eb0a74_z.jpg

29377934162_5516e3853c_z.jpg

And before leaving the Polynesian for the night we had to make one more stop

29377932522_5cf135232d_z.jpg

29377930902_017e1ea702_z.jpg

29377930212_444c9e175d_z.jpg

Off we went to the monorail station

29377929452_79c17151fc_z.jpg

Where we took our highway in the sky to the kingdom and got a bus back to Caribbean Beach. But this time it wasn’t just any bus, it was an articulated bus or what I call the accordion bus. Today was filled with so many new Disney things for me that I of course had to stand in the bendy part of the bus.

28864144223_b17de55ee8_z.jpg

We got back to our room earlier than I thought which was nice because we had a bright and early wake up call for a long parks day ahead of us!

Yay trader sam's!! Also hilarious the other TR i just read just had an update there! Lol!
I love the Zombie head but MAN it is a strong one!! Kara can't really do it, but I like my drinks strong, bahahhaha....
Love Wishes from there! The first time we watched them from the Trader Sam's patio was one of my favorite memories of my program, all of us wimps crying holding hands while we drank, bahhaha!!
Love the statue pictures, as always!!

Sure watching it on Main street is the best but not being smushed in like sardines and laying on a chair had its perks.
Or deal with the B.O. from everyone that was in the park all day. That is the part I hate the most. That is still on my bucket list as well.... not the part where I am next to someone with B.O. watching wishes... but watching it at the Polynesian. That sounds like a lot of fun. Plus, I really like their gift shop.
